Jordan Peterson is the perfect example of this. He’s either totally wrong or just saying nothing at all, but he does it in his super “cool and logical” voice while the “hysterical feminist” he’s debating “loses her cool”. Then all his slavering LVM fanboys link his videos with titles like “Jordan Peterson DESTROYS feminist!!”

I wish I could upvote this more than once, because it’s so important and so true. Their benchmark for getting off will shift every single time you agree to something else, because they’ve spent their lives watching more and more violent pornography. If he needs porn featuring women getting outright assaulted to even get hard, there’s not a chance you’ll ever satisfy him with anything less than that.

This poor woman! Married a man who can only get off when she’s in pain which is disturbing enough, but she’s tried to condition herself to it so the marriage stays alive. She’s made all the sacrifices, and her reward is to be tied up and beaten until she’s unconscious. The comments are great though - hopefully she listens to them and goes to the police.

They don’t even view us as human - had a little read through the first page and they refer to us as “plates”. As in keeping multiple plates spinning. When you’ve dehumanised women to that point in your mind, it wouldn’t even occur to you that you may be about to rape one - you can’t rape an object, can you? That entire sub is twisted, and the perfect breeding ground for the next angry white man who unleashes his anger into a crowd with a gun. It’s quite frankly dangerous and should be shut down.

She’s literally being paid to be nice to you, so no matter what terrible line you end up using she’ll laugh at it politely so she doesn’t risk her tip. Then she’ll tell her colleagues how uncomfortable you’re making her, and at the end when you ask for her Facebook she’ll politely decline then make sure the manager is aware of your complete overstepping for next time.

It worked for me. I was quite shy around people I didn't know, and then I backpacked for ten weeks (6 with a friend, although that friendship didn't last the trip; and 4 weeks solo), plus I have been in a foreign country, on my own, for 6 months now. Solo travel is stellar for getting over shyness - you meet tons of people in hostels, and it's a super casual and chill environment.
