This post gives off the vibes that OP has only met terrible women. Men can be just as manipulative as females can, people in general can be manipulative. It's a broad generalization that all women are this way just the same as people saying "all men just want to have sex".

I'm inclined to agree with you. I'm by no means a feminist and think the whole "men suck" thing is old as hell and beaten to death. I've just never seen statistics on violence on men at night, I'm sure it exists but that wouldn't help a narrative if more people knew about it.

I'm a guy and I don't even do that. You could argue women maybe have a higher chance of violence towards them in this situation... but I'd argue it's dumb for anyone to be walking at night by themselves in most places.

They're kinda like Taco Bell... really great in the moment and then at some point (if you weren't into the girl that much) you just feel shitty. I avoided them in my early twenties after a few.
