So two bits of advice Write longer prose and wait for responses patiently. I found this really helps to keep the conversation going and means you can sit down, type something and wait for a response. May not work for some but works for me, I was text 6 days ago by a girl online and we've been texting non stop since them, a lot of it in longer messages.
