I think you'd be surprised at how many would.

It would be much, much worse without porn. Sure you have a lot of that but a lot of guys are at least kept sufficiently satiated that they have a measurably satisfying life without a girlfriend and not have their libidos bothering them as much. Like I said though, the real measure would be a neuroscience breakthrough that allows people to change sexuality at will.

Being in a social circle and approaching a woman because you like her character is completely different from cold approaching a woman because you like her boobs. Except sticking to within social circles is a terrible idea. You only have a limited amount of shots, and given that women find a lower percentage of men attractive than vice versa, chances of striking out are high. And what then? A man who confines himself to only dating within a social circle will very often have no one. Also, men are…

Men are already satiated to a large extent by porn. And I've said this before, but if neuroscience ever discovers how to alter sexuality I think straight men will swamp requests for this just so they can be gay and get laid easily.

The whole status and money thing looks completely different. By 2040 most jobs are gone due to AI and robotics. There isn't really "poverty" or "low status" so to speak. Almost everyone has no job and lives off of UBI, doing whatever they want with limitless free time. A small upper class, consisting of company owners, high-end professionals who oversee the tech, and people in physical jobs that are less easy to robotify such as electricians and plumbers, as well as those with legacy money, will…

It isn't negative support, it's just horniness. If men had female sex drives they wouldn't bother dating. If science ever finds out how to modify human sexuality I suspect a lot of men will turn gay to have more sex. It has nothing to do with being "taught" and "socialized."
/r/PurplePillDebate25/04/26 12:39 AM

If it were the other way around men absolutely would be shamed into solving the problem. You already see that with age gap relationships. Older guys like Leonardo Dicaprio, who pretty much every woman his own age wants but can't get, are shamed and ridiculed for their dating choices for a reason.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/26 02:20 PM

Saying "my party is obviously the correct one and has all the solutions" won't convince everyone even if I do think said party would be generally closer to my preferences on most domestic issues were I still living in the US, though some of the more insane stuff puts me off. However, as I said, this is not just a US phenomenon. The causes need to also be seen in the context of what the left is like in general.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/25 11:51 AM

There are some policies most people disagree with pushed by the other party but I'm not sure how much I could get away with saying here without the Reddit Admins intervening.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/25 11:45 AM

First of all, it varies by country. "Lack of affordable healthcare" doubtless means you're referring to a US context but this is a phenomenon elsewhere too. In the US both parties have also pushed policies that most people don't support but one party treats men as the enemy.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/12/25 11:36 AM

They're a reasonable proxy because they're a type of man who has more choice than any other type of man. A billionaire, or really any seriously rich man, has women lining up to date him. These guys can behave based purely on their desires without any constraints imposed by female selectivity.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/12/25 06:00 PM

I don't think the issue is just false rape allegations. It's honest rape allegations that point to the wrong guy. There's a guy named Ronald Cotton who wrote a book with his former accuser about him. He spent years in prison because she honestly believed he was her rapist. When it comes to a crime where so much hinges on testimony the system has to be really careful.

There's no "looks organ" but we know men care more about looks than women do.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/25 08:14 PM

The fact that women seem to care more about this stuff at a base level even when the workforce is open to them seems to indicate that it is indeed biological.

Males would almost certainly have played the primary roles in any such hunting.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/25 05:32 PM

There's a difference between taking part in hunts and being the main hunter. Men were almost certainly responsible for hunting big game. Both men and women probably took part in fishing and trapping smaller animals. Protecting the band from predators and rival tribes, other stuff that would likely have been high status back then, would have fallen on men.

I'm talking about a few decades ago, when women actually could and did support themselves (even if discriminated against) and did not need a man for basic survival.

The attraction just switched off. As soon as it became clear a relationship was not feasible any level of desire just went away. Interesting. You're saying that if she were to strip naked you wouldn't have been attracted? If that's true it's your experience I guess but from what I understand that's not how most guys work. You realise females in that era did the bulk of 'providing' through foraging and when necessary hunting? I can believe that women foraged more. Hunted? No, unless maybe we're t…

It's just a clear example. Billionaires are a subcategory of society and one where men actually are swimming in choice so male behavior in that category can be a reasonable proxy for men as a whole.

A guy might care about your work and knowledge. The high status it brings just might not be as much of an attraction trigger for him as the other way around.

Lizard brain is basically just saying "natural instinct." Just like men's lizard brains care far more about looks. Women also marry in the same class due to proximity and conscious choice. But that choice for both sexes is also driven by attraction. Men can choose to overlook the hot waitress 20 years younger if they can find a reasonably attractive partner in their own age and status range. However, women seem to have attraction to status that can make it harder to be attracted to lower status …

The point of course is that billionaire are more likely to marry women with no social background than the other way. It's only logical in that they're doing what they're hardwired to do. That may not always be the most logical thing from a purely financial point of view given that they'll sometimes go after golddiggers who clearly only care about their money. They're doing it because as men they're biologically hardwired to go after good looks. Likewise, women are hardwired to go after status in…

Both sides make the decision but men are simply not biologically hardwired to care as much about status in the way women seem to be. Just like men often make decisions based on looks to a greater extent than women do. It's a decision based on feeling sexual attraction, and the attraction triggers are not the same across both sexes.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/25 12:54 PM

Men largely made more than their wives throughout the past decades. It's obviously not true that men are turned off by making more to the extent that women are turned off by lower-status men. Why is "conditioning" always the explanation? As if these things just came out of nowhere and were dreamed up at random. Perhaps if something socially conditioned seems to be persistent maybe it's based on biology and not just conditioning?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/25 12:35 PM
-3

I think to a certain extent it is. How many billionaire women do you think would be willing to marry some middle class computer programmer who is perfectly stable but is far from a billionaire? Some would but I'd guess the percentage of wealthy men who'd be fine with such an arrangement is higher.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/25 12:18 PM

It depends by place I guess. I live in Israel, where you can travel the world quite easily even on unimpressive wages simply due to location. Were I ever to return to the US travel would be extremely difficult even with a much higher salary.

You just made my point for me. You said she was attractive and ticked the boxes but broke it off due to different life stages. Did you lose sexual attraction to her or did you just realize that she wasn't what you were looking for and despite how attractive she was this simply was not going to work? Also, yes status can vary by country. When I say status I don't just mean in a strictly modern white collar sense, I mean anyone considered to have high status and showing indications of being an abl…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/25 12:01 PM

I think women have an ingrained instinct to go after status that men don't. Even if far from universal or all-determining. Status of course varies. What was high-status 10k years ago is not what's high-status today, and what is high status varies by the circumstances of the place and social environment you grow up in. I suspect that many kids born into poverty are born to fathers who built status in the context of their rundown neighborhood who have multiple kids.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/25 11:58 AM
-6

I'm not saying that women are more illogical in this. Just that they seem more likely to be put off by a low status guy due to sexual attraction triggers and turnoffs that are ingrained. Just like a guy might turn down a girl who might otherwise be perfect for him because of insufficient looks (I've done that repeatedly).
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/25 11:54 AM

I didn't suggest that literally all older professional men preferred their peers. Just that the stats show marriage is still largely in the same socioeconomic bracket. In fact between the two men obviously have the greater average desire to go for a younger hottie, even if in practice it doesn't always work out that way.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/12/25 11:48 AM

Those problems are all solvable in ways that the sexual thing isn't without hard science. We have various solutions we can implement today regarding them but a key problem is going to need serious research. It needs more attention.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/25 01:57 PM

It is a primary issue and no amount of platonic intimacy will make it go away. The actual solution to persistent male lack of sexual success with little hope of things changing is science. Turn them gay, turn off their sexuality entirely, or create some ultra-realistic experience far more immersive than porn.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/25 01:44 PM
1

Sure but a huge complaint is the sexual needs not being met, given the strength of the male sex drive. They'll only be truly satisfied once you give them an outlet they'll be happy with. Either make them gay so they can attend the famous gay orgies or some hyper-realistic simulation.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/12/25 01:16 PM

enough ability to get their needs met by other men like women can with other women. That can only be achieved in full if science finds a way to change sexual orientation so unsuccessful straight men can be made gay.

It's numerous things. The bots as well as the fact that they obviously suppress accounts. There's a reason that you typically get more likes when you first set your account up. Plus they're pretty ban happy to the point that people report getting banned due to malicious reports, and once you're banned from one app you're banned from all, effectively cutting you off from most of the mainstream online dating market.

That still doesn't mean we need a single company able to actively make it worse the way only a monopoly can. It won't be a carbon copy of the 2000s but it can still be a step up from today.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/10/25 08:09 PM

No, 15,000 men wouldn't be kicked off, they'd have to wait their turn. This would give time to the other guys to find a partner before they could go onto the apps and actually have a much better experience than now.

It wouldn't be like the 2000s but I think it would still be much better than now. Maybe there needs to be some additional regulation but I'm convinced that breaking Match's monopoly would already solve many problems by itself.

Dating sites used to actually work in the 2000s according to people who used them back then. Their business model may encourage keeping people lonely but practically, when there's actual competition, there's only so far they can take it. They wouldn't be screwing up the dating world as blatantly as they are now. I'm convinced that a ton of today's dating woes can be laid at the feet of Match Group systematically buying up the dating apps and making them shitty just as the importance of them in t…

It would actually be quite simple. You just need to do some monopoly busting. That means you, Match Group. No more buying up every app and freely enshittifying the experience for everyone due to no competition while giving people the illusion of choice. I'm convinced that a lot of modern dating problems stem from this one company. It has to be made to sell off all its apps. You could even get individual countries banning Match Group from operating in their territory, which would financially pres…

No, it's because of jealousy. More plainly, because younger people are usually more attractive than older people. All the women he dates know what the deal is. They get to be with the Leonardo Dicaprio for a bit before he moves on to the next one. They have plenty of wealth and fame of their own. They're not grooming victims.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/25 04:10 PM

Sure, you can see him however you like. But as a generalization it's pretty obvious. He was a heartthrob when he was young and it makes sense he still appeals to women of his generation. Plus he's rich and famous. He's pretty much as desirable as a man can get on the dating market. I can understand feeling for young women pursued by fat and broke dudes in their 40s and 50s. When it's Leonardo Dicaprio it's something else entirely, especially since he pursues high-status women. They very obviousl…

He dates up to mid-20s. And they know exactly what they're getting into. They get a fling with Leonardo Dicaprio. These are rich and famous women. They're not naive girls. It's not like he's some sort of groomer seeking to trap them. It's pure resentment that a man of his stature only wants younger women and can get them.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/25 11:42 AM

You can already see the reaction to the richest, most attractive men doing this with younger women. See how much hate Leonardo Dicaprio gets.

Yes but it's their job to have to go find out who is attracted to them rather than the other way around, which complicates stuff.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/08/25 04:02 PM

That would work if it wasn't basically on the man to find out who is attracted to him and who isn't.

increased entitlement to women's bodies, the idea that women are sex objects, the dehumanization of women Nope, nobody cares about this standard scolding anymore. This is just slop with the usual buzzwords, particularly "entitlement", which is thrown around nonstop. It's just tiring at this point, you aren't going to convince anyone.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/06/25 08:34 AM

I'm 31. I'm not speaking about this from the perspective of an old man, I just know how male sexuality works and imagine how I'd think in the shoes of someone like that. From the way I can imagine it, losing your virginity as an old man might be a relief to some, but for quite a few guys I imagine might feel like sort of a joke.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/04/25 09:17 PM

Men care about looks a lot more than women do. If they only get to experience it at a time when people are less attractive, as well as when they're less horny, they will often still feel they missed out on something fundamental that no amount of sex while older would make up for. Some might not even bother if they finally get the opportunity when old.

Your lack of willingness to date educated women with careers will either leave you single or saddled with multiple dependents you actually cannot afford. It's not a "lack of willigness" so much as a lack of a requirement. When men say they don't care, it generally means they literally don't care. She could be a barista or a finance managing director. The only negative points regarding a professional career would be long hours. Some men might prefer a degreed career woman because he wants someone…

Let me clarify. The Communists of yesterday were bastards but they were at least competent. The Soviet Union was a tyrannical regime that ultimately failed but at least it industrialized and won World War II. Today's leftists are some of the most pathetic human specimens to walk the Earth.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/25 02:59 PM

No, women can more easily do it because they have lower sex drives. That's literally it. Gay men can more easily be happily single because a lot of them can basically just go on Grindr and order up sex whenever they want. If straight men had those sexual opportunities, or if their sex drives declined to the level of the female sex drive, it would be extremely easy for them to be happily single.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/25 05:19 AM

False accusations are only part of the story. There are cases where the woman is convinced a particular guy did it when he in fact was innocent. There have been cases of people actually getting convicted and going to prison based on testimony from victims who actually had suffered sexual assault but picked the wrong man.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/24 12:14 AM

Normal people seek out romance from people who don't even know them all the time. That's literally what dating apps and sites are about. Most people have only so much of a social circle and can't reasonably limit themselves, plus if a guy does the route of "get to know her first" then the accusations of "you were only a friend to get in my pants" start to fly. Yes, normal, reasonable people understand that you need to interact with strangers to get romance. If it's not for you fine but if you th…

No, in France from what I've read it's illegal to send it to a lab outside the country and you can be arrested if caught doing it.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/04/24 02:55 PM
2

Yeah after letting your wife know you suspect something and thus endangering the marriage. What's illegal is getting it on the sly, meaning if all's good she never knows. This basically forces men to risk breaking up their marriages every time they want to, making them less likely to do it. A man has to contest paternity, leading to probable divorce and the breakup of the family. No "peace of mind" testing allowed. And what if the judge says no? The French government has openly said that the ban…

The natural libido gap is of course one thing. Beyond that, in pre-20th century societies, when every sex act was a potential pregnancy and there was little in the way of government assistance, and when there was no DNA testing so a man could not have full proof that a child was his, what kind of mores do you expect to arise? We're past that time now and in hindsight there may have been better ways but for most of human history people lived under pressures alien to us. It's good that it's all pa…

If women collectively adopted this strategy then men absolutely would get into friendships with women with the hope of an eventual relationship. To think anything else is naive. And no amount of "you shouldn't be friends with the hope of sex" type shaming is going to work. If men somehow didn't, if they didn't change their habits, that would be the end of dating altogether. A lot of men have predominantly male friend groups or are friends with women they're not attracted to. If they did nothing,…

“Having standards” is generally things like in shape, good career, nice teeth…not significantly younger than me Maybe from a woman's perspective, but not from a man's. Men will often have different standards due to innate differences.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/23 10:38 PM

My point was that a male standard that is inconvenient is castigated. A disproportionate number of men have "young" as a standard but that's somehow unacceptable.

Except the standard is now that women's sexuality has free reign and male sexuality does not. Women are free to impose standards on height and income but apparently men having their own standards is "weird."

In this sub, literally a few posts up from this one, there's a detailed post going on explaining how men approaching women are akin to people in poor countries trying to suck up to wealthier people to get favors from them. This is the kind of messaging men have been constantly exposed to - approaching is unwanted, annoying, rude, and scary. So, what did you think was going to happen? This passivity wasn't always there. Blue pill means, from my understanding: “red pill is not accurate.” And the whole core of the red pill is that there is like a science to dating. And dating is somehow different then all other human to human social relationships. It is. How is choosing who you will have sex with anything like choosing who you will hang out with or work with?
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/23 01:10 PM

Sex differences were much smaller, they didn't say they disappeared entirely. Maybe social pressure plays some role but the effects of testosterone are clear. Also I want to see the actual paper.

This is a pile of nonsense. They said its not black and white but didn't show the averages for a very good reason. That it would immediately disprove it. Some women may have higher sex drives than some men but as a whole its clear who averages higher.

Because if you expect to be approached rather than do the approaching, you can't seriously think only those attracted to you will do the approaching.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 10:54 PM

Facepalm I'm sorry but do you really not understand? Of course women want to be approached by men they're attracted to. But if the expectation is that the man approaches, by natural consequence of that they will be approached by men they're not attracted to. There's no way to find out for sure if she's attracted to you than by approaching. How exactly are men supposed to know if she's attracted or not? /r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 03:23 PM

The thing to do if you don't want to donate your time is to politely say no, get assertive only if they don't take no for an answer, and otherwise go along with your day. If you consider male attention a nuisance, just remember that it's a natural consequence of the men-approach-first expectation, something women still mostly expect.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 03:18 PM

To be honest, if women expect men to be the initiators (and they still mostly do), that's just something you'll have to deal with. If you want attention from attractive people, you're going to have to accept you may get attention from people you're not attracted to. Unless you want to ruin it dating for society as a whole, since dissauding them will mean they don't try with others who are attracted to them, if they aren't harassing you and politely leave, it's just something you need to deal wit…
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/23 03:12 PM

Nobody enjoys being "hassled". I love how you imply that an unattractive man by his temerity to even ask is hassling. If a man gets a pass from an unattractive woman, the proper thing to do is politely reject her, and only get mean/assertive if she doesn't move on. Not try to crush her ego and insult her for daring to even try so she never tries to find a man again. A man doing something like that would be widely decried as an asshole.

The imagery of an 18 year old with her dads old mate having sex is extremely disturbing and feels violating as hell. Doesn't matter how it "feels" and how personally disturbing it is to anyone who isn't either of them. It's their business. They're violating no one. Also relationships of these nature aren’t always consensual and often involve coercion from the older adult. In those cases its bad. I'd like statistics about how "often" it happens. In any case, you're only presenting it as an 18 yea…

The very reason people seek out relationships and sex is because we're wired for it, like animals in heat. And what is "morally reprehensible" is entirely subjective.

The best way is a dating app that limits male registration to ensure parity or near-parity. You can have an account which is only allowed to be active during a set period of time, then its back on the waiting list.

Men have already been doing it less, leading to complaints of "why don't men approach anymore?" Men are expected to be the initiators, sure more and more women are doing it but there is still heavy pressure on men to initiate. You can't simultaneously harbor that expectation and then bash guys for doing it just because you don't like them.

The two most important trends I see going into the future are: AI and robotics displace most humans from their jobs. This is still some time away, but the trends are there. The transition can be real messy, but eventually, 90% of people will be unemployed, with what jobs still being there all being compensated handsomely, so you essentially get everyone being essentially on the same level except for an upper class. Longevity. Scientists are seriously researching how to reverse aging. We may soon…

Many people are unhappy that unattractive men’s advances, when they cold approach, are considered creepy. This gets thrown around as if it was some sort of news or revelation of the female nature, or whatever. Can you explain why this dynamic wrong/unfair like I’m 5? If you're not attracted to the guy, reject him politely and don't be rude unless he actually acts creepy, is persistent, etc. Imposing social consequences on men when they approach someone who isn't attracted to them, when you expec…

Aside from the topic and all the argument in the comment section, it's really weird to see how many here are saying dudes in their 30s look old. To me that seems to be a huge exaggeration. A 30 year old guy will usually be indistinguishable from someone in his 20s. Once you get older and enter your 40s its hit or miss but a lot of people these days don't look particularly bad at 40 either. I'm 29 and I'd say most people would still have trouble guessing whether I'm in my mid 20s or 30s.

Except from the shaming men get for dating in a way that goes against the female imperative, such as Leo Dicaprio, you'd seem to think some women have ideas that it's men's job to have sex and relationships according to women's preferences.

Dating does get easier for men as they get older but that's because they tend to die younger. As people age the pool of available single men disproportionately shrinks further and further. Eventually you start seeing the supply and demand issue at work, men are hornier so in a dating pool with the two sexes largely equal there will be greater demand for women but eventually the thinning out of men shifts who is in more demand.

As people get older, since men tend to die younger than women, men increasingly come to dominate the market. If you're a well put together man in your 60s and 70s you'll have your pick. I doubt anyone here is particularly thrilled at the idea though.

He should risk rejection, not fake accusations for no better reason than she wasn't attracted. Anyway, maybe if that's the case women should approach men more.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/23 02:50 AM

First of all, if that's the case, stop telling men that their problem is how they do it and just be honest. This gaslighting of "it's how you do it, you were probably acting creepy" when men complain that they don't approach for fear of harassment accusations is ridiculous. Secondly, you have no right to make false harassment accusations against anyone. People approach each other all the time for things. If you don't like it, just say no, if they take the rejection and walk away, it's no problem…
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/23 02:18 AM

My point is to stop gaslighting dudes about this. Stop automatically assuming men are somehow acting inappropriately every time they tell you they don't want to be accused of harassment or being creepy. The cookie cutter response is always something like "if you don't know how to not be creepy you shouldn't approach" or "learn how to not sexually harass." Also it shouldn't be socially acceptable to shame people or accuse them of things like harassment for a polite approach and taking a rejection…

More whores, more men chasing them. ... and? That stuff (sex trafficking and forced prostitution) is already underground. And legalizing and regulating sex work would help fight it better. We already police based on morality, and always will. But morality is highly subjective. A lot of people don't think sex work is inherently immoral. Even the radical feminists use the "no one would ever sell sex willingly" line rather than claim its somehow just wrong independent of any real world harm.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/22 05:46 PM
1

What tangible harm does it cause? Is it proportionate to the diversion of police resources, driving sex work underground that results in it being harder to stop sex trafficking and actual forced prostitution, and society getting the idea that its ok to police morality based on religious morality?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/22 05:33 PM
1

Moralizing is banning stuff that doesn't actually harm society out of a subjective sense of morality. And I'm against wasting police resources in general, we should also stop having police do those useless things, not add more or just stop doing some useless things to focus on another useless thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/10/22 05:13 PM
2

Sorry but that's a dumb reason. The default should be that anything not immediately harmful is permitted. Silly moralizing rhetoric does not outweigh people's right to make choices. Not to mention that banning something that doesn't cause harm causes a waste of police resources and drives sex work underground, which causes more harm to people who actually are trafficked/forced.

I lean towards biology. If you're a woman answer me this. Assuming something like 60-70 percent of ordinary guys in the age range you'd be willing to date were looksmaxxed, would you find them attractive/consider them potential romantic partners?

To a certain extent this is true. I'm currently doing my damndest to lose weight and put on muscle, so far its going well. However I do have natural advantages as well (I'm 6 foot 3 for one). Men could be more successful if they improved their looks. However, height is one thing they cannot control. Social skills are generally poor in this current generation, I'm not sure if they're solely to blame. However, women by nature are attracted to a lower percentage of men than the other way around. Potential power imbalances between partners is issue that deserves consideration, there is some caution to be had, but blanket statements that all relationships with the potential for such an imbalance are wrong/exploitative are the result of critical theory seeping into the Western left. When you embrace an ideology that sees everything in terms of "power structures" and "systems of oppression" you'll apply that to the dating world too.

Men who don't actively take care of themselves tend to age poorly. I'm currently 29, but I have good reason to hope I inherited good genes (my parents are in their 50s and 60s and aged well) and am doing my best to work out and get into top physical shape, I also hardly drink alcohol and mostly keep out of the sun so I have good reason to hope I'll look good. What's "too young" is entirely subjective. Sure a 60 year old isn't going to have too much luck with a 20 year old but people dating between their 30s and 20s isn't weird. If you're attracted to someone, there's nothing wrong with shooting your shot and walking away if the answer is no.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/22 10:50 PM

Yeah and it doesn't matter. Don't like a guy because he's significantly older? Say no and walk away. Simple. Stop making it out to be borderline criminal.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/22 10:33 PM

Oh please, expressing attraction is not in any way harassment, even if it doesn't fit your standards. If you don't like a guy, simply reject him and move on. But if he just politely asked you out and didn't persist when you said no, that isn't harassment.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/22 10:11 PM

Not to mention that older guys can still look reasonably good, at least until they start getting really old. Some people apparently think a 40 year old is equivalent to a 60 year old. Part of it is simply luck of the draw, inheriting good genes. But if you work out, don't drink or smoke, and watch out for yourself you can look youthful for a long time.

You do, as people get older and men continue to disproportionately die it starts to show. Men in their 60s who are reasonably put together have a much easier time dating their peers than men in their 20s. And women are far likelier to complain about struggles in finding a partner at that age (in earlier decades its too much male attention).

The future of dating in what age range? Dating for older men is typically better because men tend to die younger for various reasons and that continues to be the case today. Over time women begin to seriously outnumber men and the demand for single men outweighs the supply more and more. When the current generation of people in their 20s and 30s reaches middle age and beyond I don't see that changing. Of course how the dating dynamics evolve remains to be seen, but due to the gap in mortality ra…

Limitations with age are dependent on how you've treated your body. Just look at Frank Grillo, dude's in his 50s, jacked, and could outperform most 20 year olds. If you lift, exercise, and generally treat your body right you'll look great and perform well for decades. Of course, given anti-aging research, I don't expect this to be a problem forever.

IMO any decent dating app will have restrictions on male registration to ensure a fairly balanced sex ratio. Dating apps can still work, they just need to be geared towards actually matching people than raking in profit.

Both. Get in the gym to get some decent muscle tone, then maintain a body fat level that will ensure a decent face and make all that muscle tone visible. Just dieting alone without any strength training makes you simply skinny.

These comparisons are so silly, the difference is straight women presumably are interested in meeting men. And annoyingly men are still expected to be the approachers. If I was in a gay bar and got approached, I'd politely decline and explain I was a straight visitor. So long as the flirting ended I wouldn't care. I'd even find it kind of flattering.

I mean older men will also have their pick, and given that men tend to die earlier for a variety of reasons over time there would be less older men. Also pretty sure that when this happens automation will wipe out most jobs anyway.

I think this will happen, science is already researching this. And yes, pretty much this. The preference some older men have for younger women would go down real fast.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 03:47 PM

I think it depends what you mean by "older." A 5 year age gap is really nothing special, maybe when you're in your late teens it is but I don't see anything too odd about a couple where one is 30 and one is 25. A 10 year age gap may be more significant, but it depends on the age of both. A 20 year old dating a 30 year old isn't going to be looked at the same way as a 30 year old and 40 year old dating, and it goes down the older you get. Once you get into 20 year age gaps that's where the real d…

Bibi is an arrogant, corrupt asshole who is currently trying to dismantle the Israeli judicial system to stay out of prison for corruption charges, but he is not the warmonger everyone thinks he is. He is actually a cautious politician who tries to avoid conflict (in 2014 he only sent the ground troops into Gaza because the General Staff basically forced him to). Sure he does hold right-wing vi…

A minor property dispute is "ethnic cleansing" I see.

So? This is just a far-right asshole. The settlers are a bunch of far-right nutjobs but there's no "ethnic cleansing" going on or anything like that. This was a court case with a long history of litigation regarding those houses and it spiraled into a clusterfuck because of rioting.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/21 10:21 PM

We aren't. This whole thing started due to a court case involving old Jewish property which was seized by the Jordanians in 1948. There have been decades of litigation over this. Of course emotions run high in a region like this so there was stone-throwing, the police reacted, and it spiralled out of control from there.

It's sad. I think the left is right when it comes to economics but this obsession with victimhood and interposing American racial standards to places where they don't belong makes it hard. Guess it just shows how no one's ever 100% right on everything.

Here in Israel the situation is getting more intense. Looks like we may as well be at war. I had to run from my apartment to shelter in a stairwell with neighbors twice after rocket sirens sounded. Seeing the way some elements of the Western left misunderstands the situation here and tries to impose it's narrative of "evil white supremacy" to conflicts that have nothing to do with it is really something.

Because that worked out so well during the Industrial Revolution and Gilded Age, when industrial cities were shitholes of pollution, crime, and endemic poverty because of cheapskate business owners. There is government overreach but government had to step in for a reason. Once the economy is upended I don't see how else people can make a decent living.

The entire world will have to find some way to completely reorder our economy. We will have to ensure that there isn't mass starvation and ensure everyone can live fairly comfortably so that there are people buying what the robots are making. How that will look like I don't know. But what's coming is on the scale of the Industrial Revolution.

A UBI in the current economic setup would leave "loser" men better off than now in the dating market, but they'd still be relatively unsuccessful in life, so men with jobs would still have an advantage. However, we are headed for everyone being dependent on UBI in the not-too-distant future. Robotics and AI are advancing fast and it's only a matter of time before most of us are put out of work. In the end almost everyone will be totally dependent on UBI with only a tiny number of people still ho…

In physical terms, while its naturally hugely varied so different women are attracted to different things, in general, and I again emphasize this is just a generalization and far from universal, being tall (something completely out of your control), having a lithe, muscular body, basically a swimmer's body, and relatively low body fat is attractive. It helps if you are genetically blessed with a nice face as well. That being said, female attraction triggers are different. Women can go from zero …

Increasing the birthrate isn't much of a priority for two reasons. First of all, within the next 10-20 years, we are going to have to completely reorder our economy. Robotics and AI are advancing rapidly and they will displace most workers. If they want to to. It's that simple. You realize that men wouldn't bother going through what it takes to find a partner if it wasn't for their sex drive, right? /r/PurplePillDebate09/09/20 11:02 AM

No, I think the concept is ridiculous unless it's for really serious stuff (like hiding an STD) but if so, let's make it equal. A man who lies about his career to get laid should only be arrested if a woman who lies about her body count is also arrested.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/20 09:26 PM

Looks do matter. Women do indeed care about things other than looks but they care more about looks than many would admit. So what made rape reports go down when it was legalized?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/20 08:23 PM

Taken directly from said study: "We propose another regulatory policy: a combination of legal, strictly regulated and intensely monitored brothels with—and this is crucial—severe criminal penalties for johns who buy sex elsewhere. Our analysis suggests that this policy can simultaneously safeguard voluntary prostitutes and minimize trafficking." Is this what you support? Do you even take the time to actually read what you're posting?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/20 08:20 PM
1

And as I said, less reported rape is an indicator of less rape. Or do you think rape rates magically go up while reporting goes down after a barrier to reporting is removed? There is actually a wealth of evidence legalization does more hArm than good and only anecdotal or isolated studies proving the opposite Then why have I found a bunch of studies and you've found only one?

You posted a single piece of evidence and, either through ignorance you didn't know you were repeatedly posting the same thing from different articles, or you were being deliberately deceptive and trying to make it look like you had more studies than you did to prove your case. No, I want it to be heavily regulated. You say there won't be "less rape" without proof when I've shown multiple sources that there will be. In any event it's about simply recognizing reality. Sex work is still going on despite criminalization. You can't seriously catch all or even most clients. It'll keep going on despite attempts to ban it. So why not regulate it?
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/20 07:56 PM
2

I already mentioned it. I know the difference. Decriminalization means legalization of selling but not of buying, legalizing means buying. As I said, in a lot of cases the effect is the same. Because sex workers then have to find ways to work under the nose of law enforcement to ensure their clients get caught. You've so far only posted a single study (with multiple articles citing the same study) that it decreases sex trafficking.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/20 07:49 PM

You posted three articles citing the same exact study. I'll need more than one study to be convinced. Anyway from the stuff I posted: "Human Rights Watch has consistently found in research across various countries that criminalization makes sex workers more vulnerable to violence, including rape, assault, and murder, by attackers who see sex workers as easy targets because they are stigmatized and unlikely to receive help from the police. Criminalization may also force sex workers to work in uns…

FDS is designed to serve the female interest and imperative in dating, at the expense of men. Men dating younger women, particularly successful men who actually have a chance (AKA the ones they classify as "HVM") further distorts the dating market to older women's disadvantage. Sure some men have a desire to be controlling or other issues, but lots of perfectly decent men are in relationships with younger women. Again what we have here is a fundamental misunderstanding of all this. Men do indeed often care about a woman's job or intelligence but it's not out of sexual attraction, it's out of knowledge that the relationship would be likelier to succeed. But the woman has to have physical attributes to attract him. What men mean when they say this is that they don't view it as inherently attractive in and of itself. Women are hardwired to be sexually attracted to hardworking men or men of high status. To …
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/20 07:14 PM

That's not what I meant. Women are instinctively attracted to status and success. Call it golddigging if you want, it's just biology. The main issue is that while men may consciously choose to pursue women of high status, they are not hard wired to be attracted to it.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/20 02:02 PM

I think people misinterpret this. Guys do care but in an abstract sense. Like for example if a woman is attracted to a man but knows for whatever reason it won't work, she'll still reject him despite the attraction. Men can consciously choose to date highly educated women with successful careers. However, women are hardwired to find signs of status and wealth sexually attractive. That means if a man doesn't have the physical attributes to attract her, he still might be able to with success in hi…

Men get the advantage as they get older. The marketplace shrinks for women over time, in part due to the fact that men die earlier. The problem, of course, is that a lot might resent having missed out on it in their prime and having a pick of partners more sexually experienced than them. Then there's sexbots. I mean mean kind of experience the same thing as they get older if they decide they'd rather have a younger woman over someone they're own age. Of course it's not to the same threatening level as women experience but at the same time, when you have women showing blatant entitlement in complaining about how men their age are so shallow and evil for ignoring women in their age range in favor of hot young women there are similarities.

I disagree that everyone is entitled to sex but I agree that everyone absolutely should be held to the same standards. From what I understand, this is actually not normal practice in Israel, where a small but growing number of parents actually don't circumcise their children, and to my understanding, face no legal penalties. http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4316641,00.html This particular incident happened because the parents are going through a divorce, and the rabbinical court has authority in this case. Basically, a bunch of rabbis are judges, and the rabbinical courts have a lot of power. For exampl…

The problem is the age of consent. It should be lowered to 15. It's wrong to send people to jail for consensual sex with someone who is not a little child anymore, and who clearly understands what they are doing. I don't have a high opinion of anyone who would sleep with a 15-year old, and think it's utterly cringe-worthy, but not prison-worthy. Note that the age of consent in California used to be 14, and the reason that it got raised was because a lot of teenage girls got pregnant and the stat…

I think that there are a few lessons that need to be learned here. In response to all the questions asking whether police in the USA are allowed to lie to you, YES, they absolutely are, and they regularly use it as part of interrogation. Police are actually trained in techniques to get confessions which include outright lying. And they will sometimes lie in open court to get a conviction on someone they're certain is guilty. They call it "testilying", and it happens all the time, and it often wo…

So she got a minimum of 14 years plus 2 months, and a maximum of 18 years. If the genders had been reversed, the man would have likely gotten either the death penalty or life without parole.

Let me just start off by saying that you're a better person than I am. Had that been me, I would have demanded a paternity test and walked out if the results proved negative. I'm sorry, I really am sorry for you, and can only hope that you'll see your son again someday. Stories like this are outrageous, and prove just how little society cares for men or their feelings. "No reason"? You were the kids father! Courts regularly force non-biological fathers into child support on grounds that they act…

Just think about this for a minute, people. If you've been a loving father figure, a judge can force you out of the child's life even if your name is on the birth certificate. Yet, men who are not the father but on the birth certificate can still be forced into "child support". And under I think the Presumed Fathers Act, I think a man can even be forced into child support if he knowingly takes a child that is not his and raises it as his own for a set period of time.

Just imagine the outcry if there was a male-only anything.

Doesn't mean they should be. And that's what's wrong with the way DV laws and policies often work these days.

No, I don't want to beat anybody up, but if someone ever attacks me, I don't care if they're weaker than I am, I'll fight back.

They would deserve it. Seriously, it's not your problem if you hurt somebody more. If they are the aggressor they deserve to be punished.

Self-defense is not excessive force.

So it's OK for women to hit men and cause them harm, but if a man defends himself and causes more damage, it's wrong? Under that logic, when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor, the United States had no right to respond, because it was bigger and more powerful. Self-defense is an inherent right. If you don't want to get hurt, don't hit in the first place.

Except that those laws aren't fair to men. What you're basically saying is that we must put women's welfare above men's, that to protect women we must endanger men, that to pay the debt to Peter we should rob Paul. Basically, to stop rape, you're advocating doing something even worse to innocent men. And thanks to the travesty of DV laws like VAWA in the West, women can screw men and drive them from their homes at a whim, and men are not believed even though women commit more domestic violence (…

So to protect women, it's OK to strip away legal protections from men? Because some men rape (or make rape jokes), it's OK to subject every man to the possibility of prison on a mere accusation? No matter how bad the situation is, what you're advocating is atrocious. You're basically saying that to keep women safe, we need to oppress men. What I find most terrifying is that you advocate all this in favor of "deterring" rapists. But why stop there? If it's acceptable for one crime, what's to stop…

I'm sorry, but it's indefensible to advocate locking up innocents just to catch more of the guilty. Any civilized justice system operates on the premise that it's better to let many guilty people go than to punish a single innocent person. What you've done so far is advocate a suspension of men's human rights just to catch more criminals against women. Basically, you're advocating male disposability. I find it hard to see how you "support men's rights" as you've claimed.

So it's OK to risk locking up innocent men to lock up more rapists. In other words, throw out legal protections people are normally supposed to enjoy in court, deny the right to a fair trial, which is supposed to be the right of anyone accused of crime, as a way to fight crime. Just think for a second and imagine how it would be like if this was the same for all crimes, if the government thought that it was acceptable to lock up lots of innocent people as a way to fight crime.

This may have been devised as a way to keep the family courts and divorce industry active, but it won't work. As one commentator so aptly put it, all it'll do is enslave another batch of men and then a cohabitation strike will start.
