Fun fact. In Paraguay, during the war of the triple alliance, it is estimated that 90 percent of the adult male population of Paraguay was killed.

The amount of housework I had to do went DOWN after I got divorced. Mind you I was working 40-70 hour weeks when I was married and still had to come home and “help out” around the house.

Who follows their significant other into the bathroom?😂 Was she worried he was going to find the love of his life through a bathroom glory hole?

I never understood the multiple girlfriends thing. It just sounds exhausting and a huge time sink. Women are nice and all but Jesus I got shit to do besides chase women.

So you effectively pay alimony without having to get married, nice.

It’s funny how my financial health has drastically improved after divorce despite paying 30 percent of my take home pay to my ex lol. The wrong partner really makes things harder.

Go to the roulette table with a decent sum of money. An amount of money that will really hurt to lose. Put it all on black or red depending on how you feel. If you’re willing to do that then you’ll have a good idea on the risks of marriage. You could win but more likely you will lose it all. Godspeed.

This right here! I’m so grateful I got divorced when I did because I was able to reconnect with my dad. We talked on the phone almost daily. A year later he was gone.

Lol the power grid would only last a day or two. Maybe a week in some places. Oil reserves would be gone soon after. Hell the grocery stores would be empty in less than a week as well. I’d be surprised if 10 percent of developed economy female population survived such an event.

OP, HIRE A FUCKING LAWYER! You may have to ruin your financial life for a decade or you can have your whole life ruined. Now is not the time to be cheap. Beg, borrow, go into debt, do whatever you have to do. Hell try and find a lawyer willing to go pro bono if you can.

Honestly, once a situation starts to to deteriorate in this manner you should really consider recording conversations (as long as your state allows 1 party consent as always consult your lawyer.) Also consider getting a few cameras for the living room, kitchen, basically the common areas. That way you can protect yourself against the possibility of a false DV claim. You have to get into the mentality that she is most likely going to be your worst enemy moving forward. I mean unless you roll over…

I don’t understand this. When I talked to my lawyer I had a list of specific questions to ask. The goal was to be off the phone in less than 6 or 12 minutes. Since they bill in 6 minute increments.

To all the guys out there saying not to get married… I completely agree but some lessons just have to be learned the hard way. OP if you want to get married I would follow a few rules. 1. Find a virgin woman. No hymen no diamond. 2. Treat the marriage like a business contract. Find a good lawyer to protect you assets both now and in the future. Those are the big ones I can think of. I can understand wanting to have a family. It is going to be hard to get this done right but future you will thank…

Nope, you can’t argue with women. If you argue they win. You have to just say no and walk away. No explanations, no apologies.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7nqcgUDoV_M Seriously though, you need to take care of your kids. Go get medicated if you need to. You have what many men would be over the moon for FULL custody. Don't mess that up. Do whatever you need to do to stabilize yourself.

This whole thing pisses me off. The only reason they changed the law is because women were not filing/claiming the alimony payments. So what do they do? Punish the MEN!!!!!!

Tell your lawyer that you are thinking about accepting this deal. Then have your lawyer slap the shit outta you. There is no peace now. There will likely never be peace. She will be nice until after she bends you over a barrel. After you sign she will go back to berating you. At the very least get 50/50 custody and little to no alimony. Use the 401k and the savings as a bargaining chip if you have to. This is not the time to be weak or cheap.

Always use a lawyer. Don’t go cheap when it comes to custody of your kids. The last thing you need is to step on a legal landmine.

Congratulations you played yourself lol. All jokes aside she was just trying to use sex to get you to agree to the poly-relationship. Something along the lines of, “See how great our sex has been?” My advice is get a lawyer, file asap, do not give her an inch. Start recording everything to protect yourself against any false DV claims. Keep conversation to the minimum. DO NOT have sex with her. Stay in the marital house whatever the cost. Do not give her one penny more than you have to. Hopefully…

Hello fellow Utahn. Just my two cents. Focus on controlling your desires. Get a hobby, religion, sport, philosophy, whatever you need to do. If you ever desire marriage again (which I don’t recommend personally but I understand) you must be happy with being you. You must be able to make a clear headed decision on a partner not just the first one that touches your pee pee.

I’ve seen dudes with 3 divorces that got married a fourth time. I like the Orthodox Church view on marriage. “The Orthodox Church blesses the first, accepts the second, tolerates the third, and forbids the fourth.” Basically three strikes you’re out. I won’t ever get married again after one divorce but after three? Yeah, either you suck as a person, at being married, or you suck at picking a partner.

If a guy stays late for work often it's 50/50 he's cheating. If a woman stays late for work it's 90/10 she's cheating. Also I just made this statistic up.

32M, I will never marry again. I just know myself and I get worn down bit by bit until I am a shell of my former self. I know that there are still good women out there but there is no way for me to know if they are for sure. I simply cannot take the financial risk. I also like having money, even though I have to pay my ex 30 percent of my income for the next few years I am actually able to save now. Once Alimony ends I will turbo charge my retirement. As long as the world doesn't explode I will …

I tried to explain this to my mother. She keeps telling me that not all women are like that. I told her it’s not that all women will, it’s the fact that all women can. I want to retire one day and I simply cannot take the financial risk of marriage.

OP I also have a security clearance. The best thing you can do is self report right now. Just tell them you are having marriage issues and it is probably headed for divorce. That is what I did and there was no punishment on my end. It is what they encourage you to do. If you think that she is going to claim some type of abuse the best thing you can do is record everything when she is around. If this is headed for divorce then you should file now and get ahead of this thing. (Edited grammar)

I work in an almost completely male workforce. It is 100 percent awesome just working with dudes and being able to be men. Almost everyone is a team player and those that aren’t are isolated real quick. We do have one female manager that is literally the only thing keeping my job from being awesome all the time. Not only does she go after petty bullshit she also pisses off other departments like Quality Assurance so they make our lives much harder than necessary.

It already has. White single mother hood went from 5 percent to 50 percent. While black single mother hood went from 25 percent to 75 percent. So white single mothers increased ten fold while black single mothers increased three fold. Welfare and the family court turned the nuclear family into a nuclear wasteland. But don’t worry these are strong, independent women... as long as big daddy government is there to back them up.
