I believe that in many cases, specially in Asian cultures, women are still expected to do an unfair amount of household labour while also working This is not the case anymore, if anything it's reversed, at least for my case and my generation. 6	When it comes to gender to fiction. Male characters who don't conform to the "horny lizard brain" stereotype of men, are more likely to get their sexuality questioned? I think now a days, people just write some kind of fan-fiction in their heads of that character's sexual orientation(mostly either gay or lesbian) and pretend that's canon despite being confirmed as straight.
