Who compliments somebody by saying "You look pretty"? Do you know a lot of people who get hit on by robots? One might say "Oh hey insertname. Wow, you look real pretty today! How've you been?" Or am I the only one who doesn't go up to women and blatantly say everything I'm thinking in three word sentences?

Using the words "cute", "pretty", and "beautiful" in a particular conversation or context is a good idea. Going up to a woman you've never met and saying "Hi, I think you're cute/pretty/beautiful" is a terrible one.

The first half of your comment is one of the stupidest things I've ever read. Most people, especially women, work extremely hard to look the best they can. Their entire morning is dedicated to looking as cute/pretty/beautiful as they can manage, and that is something a lot of them take pride in and would most certainly appreciate being complimented on. Second half though, solid advice.

By being blunt? I agree. Women by nature appreciate having many choices in many aspects of their life, especially when it comes to sexual relationships. If you give a woman the slightest incentive to decline your advances, 9 times out of 10 it'll be a no, and being too obvious (and even the slightest bit too aggressive) with a yes/no question is a textbook way of influencing someone to refuse whatever option they might be less comfortable with, in this case being giving their number to some guy …

A fair point, but many women are offput by a lack of subtlety (or rather what they interpret as a lack of subtlety), and respond much better to a more casual approach. But we can't say for certain in a case we're not present for, because body language, facial expressions, tone of voice, etc. play as big a role in the process as the things you say. Often when I reevaluate an encounter with someone afterthefact, the biggest thing I'll consider is what about those things I could have done different…

A valid point, in most cases, but there is a difference between a desire for power, and a desire to use said power. Many people, as power-hungry as can be, will strive only for the gratification and/or recognition that having some kind of authority or power brings them, but then couldn't tell you how to use that power effectively if their life depended on it. Some people, on the other hand, don't desire any kind of explicit authority over other people, but rather an influence that others might n…

Just out of curiosity, did you say that line word-for-word as: "...I thought you were cute, can I have your number?" Cause I can see (hypothetically) why phrasing it like would be a little offputting. Personally, I'd say something a little less blunt like "any chance I could get your number or something?" or "would you maybe wanna hang out/grab a cup of coffee with me sometime?". Just to clarify, I don't see anything wrong with what you said, I just get the feeling that saying "Can I have your n…

I'm a writer, so I usually just think of a story I've already created the concept of and then tell her a basic version of the story. For some reason, women love it when you tell them fun stories.

I'm 15, and almost got my 14 year old girlfriend pregnant. Very happy I'm Canadian right about now

You're dedication to the matter frightens me, you should know, but is also stunning. What I'm saying is it should be a choice, and should made an option when a child is old enough to make an informed decision, but it should be their decision, not the decision forced upon them subconciously by propaganda they witness. Having experienced sex both with and without a full foreskin I can tell you that without is much more pleasurable, both for me and for my girlfriend, but again it's all completely b…

I guess the women have it worse in this particular case.

Having experienced both I can honestly say that I don't regret having it done, though maybe I'm just far too lazy to wash my dick.

/MensRights is confusing me recently with these anti-circumcision posts. As someone who has been non-circumsized most his life and then circumsized, I can attest that being circumsized is a lot more comfortable, clean, and sexually benefitting.

From what you've written, I don't see what's wrong. Maybe it was just their stop? I mean, the mother didn't scream "pedophile" and mace the guy. Japanese people are often very serious people, so it might seem like she was in a hurry to leave, but that might be just the kind of person she is.

Wow, I guess those women just can't accept that a man is more intelligent than them.

I find it sad that people told him not to do it. It was his choice, and if he is Christian, I hope he lives on in heaven. If not, I hope he is successful in the next life. Either way, I'm glad he is finally at peace, if he had lived he wouldn't have been happy. RIP Black Visions, you are an inspiration

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
