First few weeks of separation are unsettling. I prepared by having all I needed ready and waiting. I had all I needed to go at least 3 weeks without having to do any shopping, laundry or other needless chores. Just enough time to find peace and focus. Good number of boxes full of groceries. Plenty of clean clothes. Just be ready to go. Plan ahead.

Get your kids genetically tested to verify they are yours. There are discrete tests that can be completed by legit labs using toothbrushes. These tests are not legally valid. These tests will give you peace of mind.

Yeah. 55yo. 28 year relationship now separated. Found an amazing woman. Truly fulfilling mature relationship that has brought me great joy. Still struggle time to time, but well on to a better life.

Get your kids genetically tested to see if they’re yours. Tests can be done discretely using their toothbrush. These tests are done to standards, but are not admissible in courts. They are for your piece of mind.

Don’t tell your ex anything that your lawyer says to you. In fact, don’t say anything to your ex unless it child related.

A man sacrifices his happiness for the family. A woman sacrifices her family for her happiness.

Came here to say that. Menopause can inflict significant hormonal and mood changes that she might not fully understand.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
