Heh, and if you think this is bad, see what happens to much fatter adn much uglier 55 year olds on swinging websites and the like. It's this times 1000. The online dating environment inherently puts men at a structural disadvantage for the reasons already explained - you're almost always better off meeting women in real life - and the same chick who will dismiss you online for being 0.5 inch below her ideal height or having the wrong colour eyes or whatever (because she has 300 other messages wa…

Good post. Another example of the old Heartiste maxim - every male activity has its groupies. Just remember: You get good at something for yourself, not to get girls (the girls are a byproduct of passion and mastery and the social proof that comes with it). The social proof is situational - unless the guy has solid social and Game skills (which he might - I don't know him), he will be lost outside the climbing club and the environment where people know and respect his mastery - like in a regular…

Late 30s here. Almost everyone's brain gets desensitized to porn, but there's actual research showing that the brains of older men (roughly 30+, but can vary) bounce back faster from the desensitization when they stop watching porn (few weeks) than younger men (few months). Not at all coincidentally, the dividing line is between men who had to "work hard for titty pics" and those that came to sexual maturity able to look at xhamster on their phones or laptops whenever they wanted. The base neura…

Great FR. And great that you're starting to learn about this stuff so young. The most important thing here is that you took action instead of sitting on your ass. As long as you keep taking action you'll move forward and you'd be surprised how much forward you can move if you take consistent action in the right direction. When you're in college smashing cheerleaders and having threesomes , remember to update us here :) (and I'm perfectly serious by the way - you're capable of it if you keep movi…

Good stuff bro. These things happen. I think you did well (I wouldn't have dropped that last text though - it's not worth it if the vibe isn't on). Given the fact she's a cheerleader etc, it's gonna be harder to get another round, but I would suggest trying - nothing lost by trying. DHV yourself on social media if you have it with her (I don't use social media at all) and maybe drop a non-committal text in a couple of weeks giving value to her (emotional value I mean - something funny or a cool …

Broadly agree with the message of the post (that the frame in which you spend the money is more important than whether you spend money on the girl or not). Just don't use it as a crutch and be aware that if you're really the guy from scenario 3, the date shouldn't be necessary. If you take her for one drink and bang her in the restroom, if she's happy to come over to your place and fuck you just because she enjoys (and is validated by) being in your presence with nothing more in it for her - the…

All good advice. Each of the points has various nuances and variations and can be situation dependent (which is why you see variations in things taught by different pickup coaches etc) but any system that actually gives results will be based off the same core principles or it won't give results. What system you choose has more to do with what suits your personality. I'll add a few things: Don't stress about buying a woman a drink or not. If you're an absolute newbie it's probably better to have …

Good luck. I think you're doing great. I would say you don't need more "rapport" (aka "comfort" in PUA terms - that's what every other guy gives her), but rather more "attraction" or "emotional relevance". Basically more of what you did when you met her - you stood out from the crowd because you were a cool guy who was the social center of the bar with strong social proof, making out with a girl almost as hot as her etc. You need MORE of that. I think meeting up next time she's out anyway is a g…

This is a really good Field Report. Pretty much textbook game from handling shit tests, to AMOGing the beta, to leading/dominance, and especially to engaging social proof - without that, there would have been no cheerleader. You may find it difficult to get the cheerleader out on a date though - that kind of girl usually has her phone being blown up by lots of guys and you need a lot of emotional relevance to cut through the "noise". Also, while you made it work, I don't usually accept invitatio…

Yup, you could do that. "Screening game" or "scattershot game". There are many variations, but for example, you could walk around a nightclub at 2am holding out your hand to girls for them to take it and come to you, without saying a word (google "Hand of God PUA"). Lots of girls will shake their heads and refuse but the rejection is done in 2-3 seconds. Any girl who takes your hand and comes in for a hug almost certainly likes you enough already to fuck you. That doesn't mean it's a done deal (…

Absolutely, I agree with that. I support lifting. And you will benefit from the endorphin rush, the confidence, the self-esteem boost, learning to maintain a disciplined practice and focus, and a bunch of other things. I just want to make it clear that the direct boost to your looks from lifting is not that big a deal in terms of attracting women.

It's a personal choice - as a man it's about choosing your own values and living by them. As I said in another post, it is (very) difficult but it is certainly possible to turn around a "no girl" like this. But for me, the outright nastiness and going out of her way to hurt someone (not the fact she rejected me at first), would be a dealbreaker. If that isn't the case according to your values, then by all means go ahead and enjoy yourself.

Well, yes and no. There are two separate things going on here to untangle. One is YOUR reaction to HER. So how you react to what she does/says, determines your value to her. So if you act like her shit test is no big deal, your value in her eyes goes up because you passed the test. She's judging you based on your actions. The other is HER reaction to YOU, which are her actions, which YOU judge and use to form an opinion about her (in this case, comments about your university or about the OP's lo…

This is spot on. You lift for yourself, not to get girls. Especially since it isn't even that big a deal in getting girls.

Guys, come on. Let's not have this looks fetishism on TRP. Good looks help up to a point and particularly make any open easier (and as you noticed it will get some girls to come and open you - particularly the average-to-cute girls who are below your "looks level" - the smoking hot supermodel female equivalent of that guy will not be opening him like that). But prioritizing it like this is classic projection. You think male looks are as important to women as female looks are to men. They are NOT…

So this is an interesting point. TECHNICALLY, from a Game perspective, yes it could be called a shit test (because she is challenging your frame and still talking to you instead of walking way). So in theory it should be possible to pass the test and get the girl - probably by some variant of laughing in her face and/or agreeing and amplifying (maybe something like "Women, yeah, of course not..what about men? Do you think any of the men here would fuck me?"). What is absolutely crucial here thou…

I don't think this is as important as you make out. The Hulk body helps because women dig dominance and a body like that sends social cues that you're likely to be dominant so it's a positive. But ultimately, it's the dominance that's attractive, not the body (of course there are plenty of OTHER benefits to lifting, from discipline, to health to self-esteem). As far as the fear goes, even an average (or even pretty weedy) man can beat the shit out of 99% of women (top athletes and female Israeli…

Broadly agree. You'll notice if you go out enough that the hottest girls are also usually (not an absolute, but usually) the ones who have the most social grace and are the best at rejecting you in a smooth, calibrated way. They know they are hot and their worth in the SMP, and basically they're secure - they have nothing to prove. They will still reject you - but they won't insult you - it will be smooth and socially calibrated (The PUA Todd Valentine has some good stuff on this - essentially "…

Great post. Not so much for the advice (although it is accurate) but more for the sheer balls to take that kind of nuclear rejection on the chin and keep going. I suspect you are below average looking (which is why you get such nuclear rejection on the open - because they haven't been exposed to your personality and charm yet) but you are also the poster-boy (poster-man!) for persevering despite that and succeeding with hot girls and proving that looks doesn't matter as much as most people think…

Hahaha, I'd forgotten that. Of course it should be noted that while all male activities have groupies, not all groupies are created equal - the guys who are exceptional at surfing or horseriding and polo (among others) will have a much better quality of groupie than WoW - but the principle works exactly the same everywhere.

This deserves not just to be upvoted, but probably its own post. Think it was Heartiste who coined the line "there is a groupie for every male activity" or something like that. Being passionate about something and exceptional at something are far more important than what that something is. And certainly far more important than looks or lifting. Note: Lifting and getting your look right are positives and certainly worth doing. No harm maximizing your advantages, and for a lot of newbies, the ment…

She wouldn't turn down Brad Pitt (or whatever her fantasy archetype male was), provided she felt she had a shot with him. Of course some women get ego gratification from turning men down - usually it's turning down men who (the woman perceives as being) are lower value than her - this is the "how dare you even imagine you're close enough to my league to try approaching me" reaction. You also get women pre-emptively rejecting guys who are way above the woman in value - because she knows she has n…

Yes. If I thought I had made a mistake and wanted to acknowledge it and say I wouldn't repeat it and because I believed it was the right thing to do (and in the case of a 9 year old, it would have to be a mistake he could understand). No apologies just because he's throwing a tantrum or to keep him happy or calm him down. Same with women. If YOU genuinely believe you made a mistake, it's fine to apologize for your reasons on your terms. Once. Don't grovel or repeat yourself or lose frame. Just a…

Sure. We don't know exactly what happened. It may or may not be rape when the details are examined closely. But the combination of factors suggests that some unpleasant shit went down that day.

100% agree with this. I am as angry about False Rape Accusations etc as the next guy on this sub, and think what's happening to Kavanaugh (or Ansari, et al) is ridiculous. But we can't go to the other extreme either - just because FRAs exist, doesn't mean ALL women reporting rape or sexual assault are making FRAs. Real rape and sexual assault do take place and we need to judge each case on its own. I haven't looked into Ronaldo in detail but if the above account is accurate on the details, then …

I don't know about Ronaldo (haven't looked at the details, but if these details are true it is pretty damning) but it's not unusual for famous guys to be gameless betas. As Rollo says, alpha is a state of mind, and just because Ronaldo is a genius with a ball, doesn't mean he has that state of mind. NB: He will get a huge amount of attention and attraction because of his fame, and girls will indeed throw themselves at him, but that in itself doesn't make him alpha.

Let's not go overboard guys. Yes, random accusations can happen, but you could also get run over on the street tomorrow. Unless you want to swear off crossing the street ever again, all you can do is take reasonable precautions like looking both ways and getting on with your life. Same with women, unless you plan to be celibate forever. There is no such thing as absolute protection. There is always some risk. But the risk can be mitigated very significantly. The most important thing you can do -…

Google "The Book of YaReally" - it looks like there are still some downloadable links up. If that doesn't work, let me know and I'll try to put it on Dropbox or something for download. There's also another compilation of posts PDF called The YaReally Compendium which overlaps with it a lot but I'm not sure if that's still up for download. But the whole Archive is still available on the Internet Archive - http://web.archive.org. Just search for yareallyarchive.com. It's a bit slow, but the whole …
