Ohh, sub rules, that makes sense. It also makes sense I didn't know it was a thing since as you say (and I agree) it's not so strictly enforced.

She did not like "being his fuckdoll" for whatever reason, and/or changed her mind and doesn't want to be anyone's fuckdoll again. Now, you are saying she's punishing you by not doing something she did not like, just because she did it with the other guy. It's not about you, it's about her and what she likes/doesn't like, wants to do/doesn't want to do. She can change her mind as to what behavior and interaction she wants through out her life. She probably isn't letting her next boyfriend after …

Women need to hold such women accountable But they do? In your OP you say there are feminists who agree with your opinion on Bonnie Blue.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/26 03:59 PM

OP clarified elsewhere that in this scenario, the kids are only with their dad every other weekend. Not exactly what I'd call a "single father".

Some people here use it to mean that a woman who has had "many" sexual partners loses the ability to bond with a man, that a woman is very strongly connected to the man she lost her virginity to (even such that she is always fantasizing about him, to the detriment of future relationships) regardless of the circumstances of that encounter, to justify not wanting a woman with a "high" body count because her "inability" to pair bond means she's more likely to cheat. There are probably more, but tho…

You mention "mother of your sons" so I'm curious how you'd feel if you end up having 3 baby girls with her?
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/26 12:57 PM

Because it's displaying hotter temperatures. It's comparing the temperature in this area from 2018 (top map) to today (bottom map).
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/26 06:50 PM

If you multiply the degrees celsius by 2 and add 30, you get an ok-ish ballpark for the conversion to fahrenheit. Helps me a lot when I'm reading stuff by non-US authors and don't need an exact number, just an idea of "is that really hot or really cold?"
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/26 06:48 PM

Common law marriage varies not only by country, but also by state, within the US. My state doesn't recognize common law at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/26 06:32 PM

It's also me, if it makes any difference. I am 1000% ok with my husband masturbating when he feels the need. If I'm around, he almost always asks me if I wanna have sex, but if I don't, he goes off to another room to watch a bit of porn and please himself. I truly don't understand the mindset of "I do not want to have sex with you but also don't want you to jack off." I wonder if the ladies who say that do or do not also masturbate? Or if there's something else going on in their heads?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/26 04:31 PM

I can at least understand almost all of those different perspectives on reasons to/not to, even if I dont agree. Except for being sick. And it may just be a thing personal to me, but I do not want to be touched, at all, by anyone, when I'm sick or feeling unwell. Unless I need to like, get to the bathroom and I am incapable of safely walking there, I dont want someone touching me and certainly not in a sexual manner.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/06/26 04:02 PM

I just feel disconnected from society not in a lame “no one understands me” but in a the values and lifestyles of people feel fake and short sided. It sucks to feel so disconnected, and I'm sorry you feel that way. Can you explain more how you think or feel other people's values and lifestyle are fake? Like what values and lifestyle do they have that are different than yours and what makes you feel or think they're not genuine?

Children are already forcibly sent to schools Is this specifically about schools as an institution or education for children in general? Arguing where and how a child is educated is one thing, but not educating them at all seems a bit wild to me.

Less than 2% of mortgages on single family homes are delinquent. Hardly "most". Even at the peak of people being unable to pay mortgages during the financial crisis, it was only around 11%. Still not most. https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/DRSFRMACBS And here's another, in case you need more sources to show you're wrong https://www.consumerfinance.gov/data-research/mortgage-performance-trends/mortgages-30-89-days-delinquent/

One, I'm not the same person who made that original comment. Two, way to show that you ENTIRELY missed my point. The person you replied to commented about issues like "universal health care, access to mental health services, unions and living wage policies, labor laws, medical leave, reevaluating over policing, identifying problems with the carceral state" Those are not gendered issues or topics. We dont have to choose between how it was then and how it is now. We can make something new and different from either of them. I dunno if it will be "better" but if neither of the "old" or "new" systems were good, the only choice is to keep on iterating and trying new ways till we get there.

From what I've heard, men can be suspicious of women because she: might be a gold digger might be settling for him after "having her fun" might be trying to baby trap him might be trying to ruin his life with false accusations There are probably more, those are just the ones I see fairly regularly.

. Nobody would say the man should file for divorce over this. Really? Like I'm being serious, because to me this kind of checking/sleuthing would be a major issue if either partner did it. Maybe not completely and instantly divorce-worthy, but certainly a big freaking deal if there was 0 other reason or indication of shady behavior going on. Retroactive jealousy. Basically people who are jealous of the people their partner was with before them, for some reason. It doesn't make a lick of sense to me, but apparently many people (both genders) struggle with this and there's a whole sub for it if you want to go down that rabbit hole.

You agreed that the examples I posted up-thread where 2 people do "behaviorally indistinguishable" things for different reasons... Therefore, I'm pretty sure you can follow the logic that one woman may go to clubs because she likes dancing, enjoys her friends company, and likes dressing up. And another may go to clubs to procure interest from men. What are the things that men do to "enable them to accrue prospective partners" that are equivalent to the behaviors you described for women? I'm asking for real, not bullshitting or going for a gotcha.

Just because 2 things are "behaviorally indistinguishable" doesn't mean the intent or reasoning behind them is always the same, so that intent and reasoning is what makes a difference and is what matters. I wouldn't label Leo a predator necessarily (gross and skeevy, yes but his gfs seem to willingly take it on so...) however, he's 51 dating 24 year olds. Idk about anyone else, but when I insult someone my goal is to hurt them and make them feel bad, not to make some grand statement about my personal values or society's values. So if I know you're insecure about something, that's what I'm going to use to insult you. It doesn't mean that I personally think you should be insecure about that thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/26 07:07 PM

No, saying a man "doesnt add value" is not implying some moral failing on his part. It's saying it's +/- 0 rather than +1 or -1. While there are aspects of having another person in your life that add or subtract value, there can also be aspects that do neither.

Where are you getting that it's blue pill advice to ask out every single woman in a friend group/social circle until one says yes? Typical advice is to get to know a woman socially for a bit, do some flirting and see if she's interested. You've somehow added "and if she doesn't accept your advances quickly move on to all her friends until something sticks".
/r/PurplePillDebate23/04/26 02:24 PM

A lot of the responses on that thread specifically mention that 1) Asking out a coworker is a dicey situation to begin with, many people are at work to work and get paid and dont want to mix business with their personal lives. 2) Going round robin asking out every woman you work with looks desperate because it appears you don't like them for who they are, they're just the next single girl on the list. And again, this isnt exactly the same as asking out a woman in your social circle, though there…

"God" is your ultimate authority. God doesn't tell me anything, as I have no religion. It's not that I don't want to listen to God, it's that there is nothing to listen to as far as I'm concerned. You are well within your rights to only date and marry people who ascribe to your religion. When you place your religious expectations on others is when you start to err.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/26 05:34 PM
7

being a virgin and taking care of your husband is the holy thing to do Your religion tells you what you and other people of your faith should do. Religious tenets have 0 application to those who don't ascribe to that specific religion.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/04/26 05:06 PM

So why not say "I would prefer to date people who know they like me quickly rather than those who don't" or "I only want to date someone who knows they like me quickly" rather than speaking in absolutes and declaring that someone who doesn't know they like someone quickly is being false? You are not the supreme arbiter of a person's worthiness in dating anyone besides yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/04/26 11:57 AM

That's pretty much how it is for me. A guy friend of my husband once asked me if I had any attractive male coworkers (he was looking to set up a female friend of his). My answer was, "I dont know" because I honestly, 100% do not look at any of my coworkers "like that." It just does not cross my mind to even consider if they're attractive or not.

You're reducing loneliness to the lack of sexual partners, and to the chances you'll get married/be in a relationship. That is not what loneliness typically means. So in a way I agree that as you said "having more words and more specific terminology makes us better able to distinguish between various things." and we need to distinguish between people that are lonely and those that do not have a partner/someone to have sex with.

Not the person you're replying to but: Yes, I do understand that it takes a lot of courage for a guy to approach a woman...but that doesn't ever factor in to how I respond to being approached, why would it? and how exactly would I do that? If I'm not interested, I'm not interested and no amount of "gee, I can see it took a lot of bravery for him to talk to me" is going to change that.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/26 02:43 PM

I dont understand. I know you're OP and not the person I replied to, but are you saying you'll "know" I feel empathy for you if you end up feeling like we're "on the same page"?

Do you think that when a woman desires and loves a guy she automatically enjoys him cumming in her mouth? That seems like a weird metric to me, because some ladies regardless of their love and desire for a dude, will not want this ever.

Before I reply to this question let me clarify your original comment - you expect her to initiate sex 70% of the time and you'd accept that invitation, you initiate 30% of the time with 1 out of those 3 times she turns you down but you're ok with that and the other 20% you initiate? Or something similar to that?

Twin 1 may have more individual instances of having and getting a date, but I feel he's unlikely to secure a long term partner or be a good partner to those he dates for the short times he's with them. Twin 2 may not get the same total number of dates as his bro, but he's not undateable or undesirable and he is more likely to end up in a relationship and be a good partner.

Sure, but you're never going to change humans to fit what is "right" or "logical" in the way you seem to want to. People will continue to be messy and always have been.

You're looking for a mathematical solution or set equation to a messy, human, nonlinear and often illogical problem. Life and relationships are not a set of variables that you could ever analyze enough to confidently produce a rule set that almost always leads to the desired results.

Fair, but the one posted above me had "sex" listed at the bottom. Sex =/= reproduction, but I guess I disagree with Maslow that reproduction should be placed there on an individual level. As a species, we definitely need to reproduce to "live" but that's not the same. The original one I was reply to also lists "sexual intimacy" higher up in the hierarchy and it's just "intimacy" on the one I posted. Not all intimacy is sexual.

Why is that hierarchy different than the one attached to the main article? This one seems to be the original and doesnt mention sex or sexual intimacy: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Maslow%27s_Hierarchy_of_Needs_Pyramid_(original_five-level_model).png#mw-jump-to-license

But when she decides she's going to "change [her] decision-making criteria and process it differently" she's told that she's giving a new guy a "different set of rules" and "making him jump through hoops that other men didn't have to". Dudes are saying that in this very thread.

I concur. OP is playing that game where they play dumb and present a fact as "just a fact" but OP has already drawn conclusions and implications from that fact, which they will assert as true once someone agrees with them about the original fact, regardless of if those conclusions or implications are strictly supported by said fact.

Whoops, my bad. I'll rephrase. They explained that OPs post was removed because there had already been similar posts recently and 2 of them were posts of OPs. I assume those 2 posts were not removed? Ok, let's take it as factual that "women care on average more about financial aspects in dating than men”. Now what? What conclusions do you draw or want others to draw from this statement? Are you open to other interpretations as to why this is true, or what drives this preference, even if it is different than your own?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/26 07:06 PM

Metamucil is just a common brand name where I'm at, but any "psyllium husk-based fiber supplement" will work basically the same way. Go for the one you mix in water and drink, works better than the pills IMO. Fair warning that they usually taste like ass, but it's better than the alternative of feeling like you're dying on the toilet.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/26 05:26 PM

Every man can be kind, caring and supportive. But not every kind, caring and supportive man can be successful. Ok, but what's the harm in being kind, caring and supportive if you're not successful? In the case that you wont or cant be successful, you might as well be a good person. And if you are successful, what's the harm of also being kind, caring and supportive? As you say, every man can be those things so why not be if those are admirable traits?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/01/26 04:37 PM

1) The attitude that having or displaying a certain trait is only useful if it gets you into a relationship or into women's pants is sadly so common here. 2) A traditionally masculine man can also be kind, caring and supportive, they're not mutually exclusive.

Yeah, trolling for sex in nursing homes seems a bit extreme, but I suppose the point is that you may have to look outside of the typical avenues to find what you want. Like, I believe it would be a mistake to disqualify single mothers, divorced women, and even women a bit older than you'd typically be interested in, in this case.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/01/26 06:43 PM

Not sure what you do mean compromise. It depends. Am I looking for an instagram model? No. That is basically what I was asking about with compromise. If your singular goal at this point is no-strings-attached sex, it's detrimental to your success to insist that person must be incredibly hot, successful, kind, caring, etc.

By this comment, it would seem that you understand that being transactional in relationships is somewhat of a bad thing. My water bill was still (almost 12 years later) in my old married name until last year because the city wanted me to fax them (yes, fax as in using a facsimile machine...in 2013) my divorce decree, proof of name change and other documents to do so. The paperwork and time is no joke! I changed my last name to my ex-husbands when we got married, and changed it back to my maiden name when we divorced because his last name is very unique and recognizable. I've since remarried and have not changed my name to my husband's, but he's not really concerned with it at all and I do not want to have to go through the whole rigamarole again both socially, legally and in my workplace/career.

This has always seemed weird to me, because it only "works" if women do not swipe indiscriminately. It kind of seems similar to the "prisoners dilemma". Consider this thought experiment, where I've tried to make it gender neutral: Option 1) Both genders swipe indiscriminately. Everyone gets lots of matches, but they're mostly "false" because the odds are neither are compatible with the vast majority of those matches. This results in a very small number of "true" matches. Option 2) One gender swi…

Yeah, YOU do those things [or at least you claim to], but many women don’t not. Things are more one sided. Guess you'll just have to take my word for it that that's my MO and how I see friends. Does this mean you'd agree that attractiveness is relative to an individual? I personally think so, but I find that a lot of men here ascribe to the 90/10 (or is it 80/20?) "rule" that women only find a slim percentage of men attractive. I've argued several times that this "rule" is incomplete because it ignores that women will not all always find the same smaller percentage of men attractive, but have yet to find a man here (especially an RP) that would agree.

In my group of 6 girl friends, 2 of them can be a little unrealistic, overly picky or demanding in certain aspects in dating. They're also the only 2 that are single. We're all in our early 40s now and have know each other for decades. The other 4 of us have, over the years, pointed out these things to them (gently and in the appropriate context) but it hasn't seemed to make any difference so we've essentially stopped.

Yeah, for a while back in the day, OLD was actually little taboo. I have a friend who met and married someone he met on a dating website (there weren't "apps" yet...) and they rarely, if ever, told people how they actually met because it was seen as weird.

But we need to have to have a discussion on how we move forward WITH these new advancements, because clearly a lot of men are not happy. Then what do you propose? /r/PurplePillDebate09/09/25 08:07 PM

Sure, I absolutely fixated on dating apps because I literally didn't imagine that you'd believe that birth control and legalized, safe abortion counted as "modern technology" that could possibly be ruining dating for men. However, since you picked 1920 (the year women in the US got the vote) as the year you think the "problem" began, I see what you're getting at. Do you really think that, prior to dating apps, that women didn't go for "bad boys" and have short term relationships/hookups? You say you're 40, so really think about it. Well, for me it's because while the statement is true, it's incomplete. Sure, I'm only attracted to a fairly small percentage of men, maybe around 20% at most. But the 20% I am personally attracted to is somewhat different than the 20% another woman is attracted to. That's insane.

I would assume people who would "need" or want an at-fault divorce are the same ones who would be just as well served having a pre-nup, no? So if you want an at-fault divorce, draw up the pre-nup agreement saying what "fault" is in your situation and what happens in that scenario. Otherwise (and I might be wrong, my divorce was relatively easy), you've got the legal system involved in who's at fault and that just...doesn't seem like a good idea for anyone.

If you read above, you'll see I have no issue with your Transformer collection. But they are shiny trinkets. Lots of people collect what are essentially shiny trinkets. Myself included. They make you happy. That's good.

This is actually something n-count related I could agree with. Seems like a much better way to measure than by grand total.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/25 04:47 PM

I mean yeah, youre right that in combination with the other stuff it paints a more clear picture of potential issues, but a toy collection on its own, meh. But you've got a point that a guy who wants to "build wealth", who seems very into the stock market, and buys "shiny objects" for himself should probably not be surprised when we finds himself with a woman who values a big bank account and wants her own trinkets.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/25 04:22 PM

Really? I feel like he Transformers are probably the least concerning thing he's said in this thread.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/25 04:12 PM

If you want something that doesn't exist in any other scenario your options are: --- Stop looking for the thing and accept you'll never have it. --- Change your search parameters and accept a different thing. --- Make or create it yourself. Obviously the last option doesn't apply here since we're talking about people, so it leaves the other 2.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/25 04:03 PM

*Happy spouse, happy house. Both partners should be happy with their relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/25 03:49 PM

If you're ok to sharing, I'm very curious as to what these ladies you broke up with were asking that you weren't willing to give.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/25 03:22 PM

They were also the parenting generation that started the "participation trophy" crap. Oh dear God I can't stand when Boomers talk about "participation trophies." And when you ask them who was giving us the trophies, or who's idea it was that we all get trophies...silence. Like do they think a bunch of 8yr olds on the rec soccer team got together and decided to purchase and distribute trophies to themselves? It just shows how much cognitive dissonance (or decline) is really going on with them.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/25 03:16 PM

You're saying you want to be in a relationship where it's ok for you to disconnect for a month? How often? And if you're willing to compromise that down to 3 days, how often do you need those 3 days? This seems to me to be the biggest sticking point. Introverted people can and are in successful relationships, but most people I think want to see their SO regularly and often.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/01/25 04:06 PM

No need to be a dick. Just like couples should have the "would you want to keep it if we ever end up pregnant" convo early in a relationship, if a dude is so hell bent on a paternity test, he should say that early on and before it becomes a pressing issue.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/12/24 06:34 PM

Then your question should be "is money more important than personality?" if that's what you're really asking.

So there's a guy who consents to sex with but does not desire a woman, and your point is that in that in that case, the woman wouldn't want to have sex with him bc he doesn't desire her? Is that it?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 05:45 PM

You're saying that women don't rape men? Because that's what it's called when you have sex with someone who doesn't want/consent to sex with you. And women do rape men, so....
/r/PurplePillDebate29/12/24 04:17 PM

I believe the "original" intent of ladies nights was to attract more women so that more men would also show up. While yes, it does give ladies the benefit of cheaper drinks or no cover charge, it's supposed to provide an environment with more women, something that conceivably men would benefit from. So I don't know if it's actually sexist, or sexist towards whom. However it does seem a bit outdated given the current dating and social constructs and norms.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/12/24 08:33 PM

Honestly, I think this is taking the phrase too literally and without context. Besides super duper radical feminists, I don't think many women actually mean "men provide nothing to society and we'd be better off if they all disappeared" when they say the don't "need" men. What they do mean, I think, is that men aren't an essential and necessary part of their day-to-day personal lives in most cases.

But in your example, he's unemployed by choice and in that case he might not feel badly about his situation. So if he's OK with his situation, no need for empathy because he doesn't feel sad or negatively about it. But let's say he's not unemployed by choice and feels shitty. The solution is still the same (get a new job) but because he feels sad about it, I can understand and know what he's feeling and empathize with him.

Even if that's true, it still doesn't relate to a scenario where a woman is drowning in a car and if she would expect a man to save her. No one is talking about guns or shooting people except you, so you're going to have to use more words to explain how having a CCP, being comfortable with a gun and killing someone is in any way relevant.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/24 02:46 PM

I'm not sure I would be. I know lots of people who do and even considered getting my CCP for a while. But I fail to see how this relates to what I said. What am I missing here?

I don't think it is common at all. I think OP is trying (and failing) to set up some sort of "thought experiment" gotcha to reveal that women don't value men. Oh, and also so he can put this "revelation" in his book about "High Value Women" and sell it to desperate, lonely men.

Wait, no. I am married. Sorry, I didn't catch that part of the title. Please disregard my response as I don't fit your scenario, and I also don't want to be seen as confirming this ridiculous theory.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/09/24 07:11 PM

I don't think, in the scenario you've given, that I'd expect anyone of any gender to risk their life to save mine. Maybe emergency responders, but only because they're likely equipped to handle the dangers. But any random person? Nope. But how does this show I don't value men, when I'm saying I don't want them to die unnecessarily? That doesn't make any sense.

I 100% agree. My husband isn't my best friend and I wouldn't want it that way. Friendships and romantic relationships are fundamentally different. I have friends for friend things and a spouse for relationship things. I think putting all your emotional, physical, etc. support needs in one basket (person) is a recipe for problems. Do my husband and I have some shared interests? Yes, but we also have things we do and enjoy individually or with friends.

Sexual dysfunction is the main side effect of SSRIs. Followed by infertility. They're both about presuming someone is guilty of something (being a criminal, being unfaithful) without any evidence or justification. And what do many men here say when women are worried their man may become or has already been abusive to them? "Pick better men." So, if a man is worried that his partner may have been unfaithful and he could be raising someone elses kid? Well, he should've just picked a better woman, right?

That would also suck. I never said men don't have similar issues. Could be that a woman is only with a man for X or Y reasons and when those reasons evaporate, there's a conflict or insecurity. Which is bad. However, this thread is a question about women, so I was talking about the topic at hand.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/24 05:47 PM
4

Sure, there are other forms of internal value than degrees that a person may have, no argument there.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/24 02:21 PM
7

The external can be altered my time, aging, illness, etc. If a guy is only with me because I'm hot...what happens if/when I'm not anymore? What if I get sick and loose all my hair, or get in an accident and have scars or am disabled? Will he leave me for someone new because the primary reason he was with me is gone? I don't want to have to have that kind of uncertainty in a committed relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/24 02:10 PM

In my experience, this is so true. If you had the 10 hottest celebs, my close girlfriends and I would all likely all pick different ones. Same goes for regular guys we meet in real life. There's can be an acknowledgement that a person is attractive, but not particularly attractive to you. And some women have a larger spread in what they find attractive than others.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/24 09:17 PM

All people have muscles... But to what I think is your point, I guess idc really? It's difficult to define without using visual references but as long as a dude is capable of a decent or normal level of physical activity without collapsing "muscles" don't really matter to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/08/24 07:08 PM

The dude with the 6 pack probably wants to keep it up, meaning he's not only in the gym every day or close, he's watching his diet very strictly. I wouldn't want my world to revolve around his aggressive gym schedule and eating habits. Good for him, really, but that's not how I wanna live. I want someone who can go on vacation without having to find a gym or place to work out every day. I want someone who can have a few beers and ice cream without it wrecking their diet. In the typical Nice Guy situation, what should women be held accountable for?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/24 03:55 PM

I was giving an explanation of the term in this specific usage, not an endorsement of either behavior. But generally, I think most women are very aware that dudes often say/do things with the primary intent of getting in their pants wether it be Chad or some other guy. However, the key bit of "nice guy" behavior is the complete flip after being rejected and the insistence that because they are "nice" they are entitled to a shot at romance with the lady. If these "nice guys" were actually nice, t…
/r/PurplePillDebate19/08/24 03:25 PM

It's kind of a specific term or trope at this point, a "Nice Guy" is one that gets to know a lady as friends but either 1) had romantic intentions from the get but didn't tell her or 2) develops feeling for her and asks her out after a while. The term comes from when he makes his feelings known but the girl rejects him and he protests, saying that he's a "nice guy" and doesn't understand or agree with her rejection. He feels that because he's "nice", she should give him a chance. And then typica…

I appreciate you looking tho. I'd love to see a longer explanation and the context of "not my job". I mean, friends help each other out (at least, imo, but maybe not for others) and helping someone find a partner isn't weird in that context to me. It can be a little tricky, but if you know 2 people might click, why not? It's pretty low effort on the matchmakers part too.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/24 02:07 PM

there was a post on GenZ about why people don't set their friends up with dates and the overwhelming response was "Eww, weird, Why would anyone do that? That's not my job!" That is a really interesting generational difference. Do you by chance remember anything about the title of the thread? I'd like to try to find it to learn more.

Or maybe you're just basing your conclusion about women's misuse of a "metaphysical tool" on your own "terrible wrong instincts"?

I agree. The rest of the comments devolve into 1) arguing about whether or not she actually lied (which is hard to determine based on the info given and ones own definition of "casual") and 2) the fact that he's taking his friend and the barman's word as gospel without talking to her about it at all.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/06/24 06:45 PM

I'm sure you're correct. When I said "someone to mediate" I was trying to encompass that some divorces may need adjudication/mediation or whatever, even with no fault and that divorcing people should do what they think is best and all that. My only experience with divorce was my own, which I know was, by most standards, exceptionally "easy" so I didn't wanna project that onto other situations.

I agree. No fault divorce and someone to mediate (if necessary, if there are contentious points to figure out) to make sure it's equitable. Inflicting "punishment" shouldn't be part of it.

Women are people, not "things". Women aren't a commodity to be bought, sold or traded and your argument about rarity and value falls apart if you actually could see them as humans instead of chattle.

It is easier for women. I think that's pretty obvious to most people. But I 100% reject the notion that because it's easier for women when compared to men, it means that she should be vilified for having as much sex as she wants. Lots of things are easy for some people and more difficult for others. But we don't shit on someone's capabilities because someone else can't do a thing as easily. Jeez, no need to get prickly. I was just confused by your wording and the tenses you used and couldn't tell if the the date was actually accepted/occured with Woman A. That is a...unique line to draw. If you don't mind answering another follow-up: In the event she isn't a virigin, would you want this one sided open relationship continue throughout your relationship, even after you're married? Or would you only have that rule until marriage, then you'd become monogamous? That is assuming you'd eventually marry, I suppose you may not even consider marrying this non-virgin woman?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/24 04:03 PM

Just to clarify: if she's NOT a virgin, she'd have to be ok with you having other sexual partners while she only has sex with you OR if she is a virgin, you'd...wait till yall were married to have sex with her and forgo having other partners? Just curious.

Well, if you count high school/teen relationships (which I don't, usually), I've been in 6 "serious" relationships. The first 2 were in high school. 1st dude cheated on me and did other awful stuff so I dumped him. With the next guy it kinda fizzled out and and we mutually broke up, mostly because I was changing schools and we wouldn't see each other a lot. Thanks for the info, I didn't know that about having a "score." Tbh, my OLD experience is largely 2nd hand from both male and female friends so I'm not completely up-to-date on all the particulars. But I have fairly recently heard dude friends talk about matching with everyone possible and female friends talk about the work involved in weeding out matches and it all sounds exhausting and neither group is particularly happy with the outcome.

I don't think number of matches is a good metric here. Because, as it's been stated, many guys view it as a "numbers game" and will match to every woman possible without looking at her profile or pics. So even if your friend has all those "matches" she now has to sort through each one to see if they're compatible, looking for the same thing, etc. After that, there's no guarantee those matches go on to be dates or hookups because at some point the dudes will finally look at her pics, realize she'…

I agree with the "women aren't less violent but know the stand little chance" thing. They don't act on those violent ideas/feelings because it could backfire or become worse. Like when people say women should just carry guns. But there's a good chance an aggressor physically overpowers them and gets the gun from them before they have the opportunity to use it. So why have a gun, right? I think this is also why "traditionally" poison is a "woman's weapon" because it's more discrete and there's le…

/r/PurplePillDebate02/05/24 04:17 PM

Maybe they can't in all instances, but they could do something like tie a mandatory paternity test to eligibility for other programs/resources. Kinda like the way the we have certain vaccines mandated for public school entry (yes, I know there are exemptions to that and people still try and succeed in getting around them, but it's something at least). Not that I'm completely sold on mandatory paternity testing, but it's theoretically possible.

If I'm understanding you correctly, someone saying that they'd never marry a man who didn't care about their orgasms is denying the orgasm gap? Is that right? If so, I find that confusing. To me, it's saying that the gap DOES exist: some men don't care if their parter cums so don't marry or date a dude that falls into that category.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/04/24 02:52 PM

So if you 1) know she'll lose interest if you don't do those things but also 2) know you'll eventually stop doing them... Why bother? You're just kicking the "she loses interest" can down the road a bit farther.

So either one copied the others post to repost or they're the same person. I don't think any of the replies in that AWO30 post are actually toxic. Some weren't "nice", but not toxic. However, OP seems to disagree with us there.

No, I'm pretty sure that's the right one. And, if you look, the OP who posted in AWO30 curiously also posted the exact same thing as this post in the "Men's Rights" or whatever sub. So, pretty safe to assume this OP and the one in AWO30 are the same person with 2 usernames.

I don't understand why the outcome matters (whether it works or doesn't) here. She's ok with it. If she was of a different mindset, (being open to going on a date with a stranger) it might work (if she was single). But her mindset is no dates with strangers. But either way, again, she's ok with cold approaching. The outcome of it working or not is irrelevant to her feelings about cold approaching. I don't know how else to say it.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 08:25 PM
1

So you want to know why she's not against it, given that she'd never date someone that cold approached her? That doesn't make sense to me. Do you want her to be upset and angry that someone approaches her because she won't date them anyway? Or should she be against cold approaching in general because for her specifically it doesn't work? She said she's fine with cold approaching. Soooo she's fine with it, regardless of the outcome.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 08:02 PM
4

Because the reason she said it won't work for her is because she's married. She's talking about her own personal preference and specific circumstances. She's not speaking for other women, not saying it doesn't/won't/can't work, just that in her case it doesn't. I think it would be rather silly of her say "Men shouldn't approach women because I'm married", which is what I'm getting you think she should say.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/24 07:30 PM

Precisely. I don't have romantic or sexual feelings about my friends regardless of gender. I have those feelings for my partner, which is one of the reasons they're my partner not my friend.

/r/PurplePillDebate06/02/24 03:21 PM

It depends on 1) if he said anything to try to explain why he needed to pay that way - did he misplace his credit/debit card or wallet? Or anything else to let me know this isn't how he rolls regularly? 2) how the rest of the date went. If we clicked, the conversation was good, etc. If the answer is "yes" to 1 and it makes somewhat sense and the answer to 2 is positive, then maybe? Probably?

I'd like to see stats about that as well. Even the linked study doesn't say exactly what they mean by "initiated" divorce. Does it mean, they were just the one that filed the paperwork? Were the 1st out of the couple to say "I want a divorce" and/or move & separate? Or some other option? What I think is most interesting is that the "70% stat" only applies to marriage, at least in the US based study linked in the article. Sure, if your only measure of "manliness" is "making a lot of money" or "making more money than his partner", you'd be right that he wouldn't measure up in that regard. But is income really the only or primary metric of how much of a man someone is? That seems awfully reductive.

However, I'd bet very very very few of them actually tell their friend "your bf is ugly/unattractive." Nor do I think any of them even care that their friend is dating someone they dont find good looking. It's one thing to think something, and entirely another to share it in a mean spirited and debating manner. The fact that you jump from women having these thoughts to them sharing them openly…

Why didn't you call the police or EMS? If I found someone passed out in the street (of any gender) my 1st thought would be to get them medical assistance. I don't really doubt that your intentions were noble but...you also imply she was in a vulnerable state and may have previously been assaulted. Why not call those that can actually help her?

No where in the post you're replying to does it say they do or did expect a man to step in. Only that that a man never has. They're just replying to OPs question.

If, among these childfree married couples, men are the sole or primary earner half the time, that means the other half the time the women are the sole/primary earner. So if in 50% of these couples, the woman is the breadwinner, and 50% of the time the man is, how is that "a consistent pattern of the man being the benefactor"? It's literally half and half within the group you cited.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
