Sounds a lot more like some bullshitting on the story tellers part. Even if it has happened it's more a case of the exception to the rule rather than the rule. Every single poster has an alternative perspective, but most feel no need to qualify it with non-credentials like their gender. Which is why the "I'm a woman" is completely unnecessary and comes up a lot when people are just looking for attention and support from the white knights who quickly throw around words like "bigot" when they don't apply to the situation at all.

It's not jackassery, actually, it's just an observation that white knights like you will never understand. SO. Yeah, when someone uses an unnecessary qualifier like "I'm a woman so.." it should be assumed that they are doing so to get more credit than due. It's almost never necessary and even if you could argue it's appropriate it's best to just never use them.

When a female uses any variant of of "I'm a woman so..." on the internet it should be assumed it's being done to get more credibility for whatever comes next just because they're a woman regardless of if that was their intent or not because saying it is almost never relevant. This was a case where their gender was irrelevant.
