Not for a while that we're planning lol Nurses make ridiculous money right now if they're willing to travel or live outside of the south, ao not sure what you mean. If she feels like doing overtime (which is never) she easily outearns my engineering salary.... whole shit is almost half paid off already

Honestly you're imagining the worst, we started dating in college and we had talked about our debt early on just not in terms of hard numbers. She makes enough alone to cover her own payments easily so I'm not worried she's trying to leech. I alsp spent a year unemployed with her being the only one making money and it was fine, so not worried she's with me for the wallet. I didnt realize what sub I was in when I made my first reply lol

Everything goes into a joint checking account, so yeah? We've both taken turns at some point being the only breadwinner too. My wife came in with 100k of debt. I didn't know the amount until we were almost engaged. Honestly, has been fine because we both work (her debt was from her nursing degree) and a huge chunk of it is gone now. Unless she's planning on quitting her job long-term it doesn't have to be a dealbreaker.

It works just fine for child support purposes, I think that if the employer refuses to cooperate then the IRS might be a better place to work with.

Should be pretty easy for the employer to provide the info? If someone is getting paid in a different way, their taxes should show it. If they're dodging taxes, then should be easy to report them.

lying in court about salary should get your alimony completely cut off, and not trying would really hurt someone when alimony expires. It would be a win-win for whoever is paying.

After X number of years, it should phase out. I would go further to this and add that the amount of payment should be dependent upon Spouse A's salary. If they end up finding a nice job really fast, then alimony should be reduced significantly and phased out faster.

I've read some of the standards for Washington State. I liked most of what I saw. I've seen examples of new curriculums. They seem terrible. What, in particular, about the standards themselves do you not like? Yes, I know who he is. Teachers may not be able to develop their own entire curriculum, but they can still deviate and focus on what they see needs to be focused on. Especially at private schools, which can teach mostly whatever they want. My school taught creationism in a laughable manner…

Firstly, dunno why you brought common core up in this when nobody mentioned it and it wasn't very relevant to the conversation at hand. Even if they accept common core standards, private schools still have a lot of freedom in curriculum, namely the ability to choose which textbooks to use or even to teach outside of the textbooks. Private schools aren't better because teachers are payed more. They're better because the kind of parents who put their kid into a private school have invested in their kids' education and that care pays off.
