Let me disagree with you for the second time, sorry 🙏, look imam can't just interpret the Quran based on his believes and the subject is very complex to explain here but it's really worth the knowing and you might find it easier since you have a Muslim background, it's very hard for me to explain all the misconceptions and misunderstanding about Islam here but I want you to know this Islam is on of the most just system I've ever seen, so I think it's worth a shot

I don't think Islam itself hurt men, but what I'm sure of is the culture that puts unbearable burden on men because they are men and born to suffer as my people says, but Islam said make life easy for other people not hard but old men and rich men took it the exterme while at the same time pampering women like a new born babies and men's life became making those princesses live at the same luxurious life their fathers provides, plus many men had to leave schools just to provide for their sisters…

Also nearly all countries in the middle aren't as bad for women as the western media show, the amount of exatiration I see is mind blowing, most women here lives a life me as a man is jeoulse of. I actually can't describe my happeness now to hear this , I never thought anyone would do this for men because I've been raised by my own mother to believe that a man without money is worthless ( her exact words ). "I just hate sexist people" thx for saying that me too. I really wish I could solve all women problems and confort them but the say harsh things on those videos and comments make me I can't feel empathy towards their feeling anymore. I've been raised by a great women in life ( mother & sister ) so I do care a lot about them and I would give them the moon if they asked.
