I get it, back in high school I was all about fighting for my beliefs, and as a conservative in a public school I had plenty of opportunities. Do you know how many teachers I got fired? With that attitude why even get out of bed in the morning. Besides, high school grades matter about as much as elementary school grades, which is to say they really don't matter at all. Learning to standup for himself when he knows he's right is a much better life less for this kid then learning that "that just the way it is, somethings will never change."

This is just another symptom of our ad hoc system. The rights of men and women have changed so much in the last hundred years and a lot of the systems we've had in place have not kept up with those changes.
