I recently hit the age where a lot of people start panicking like “omg I thought I would be married by now/having kids by now” and after my birthday came and went this year, I didn’t feel that way. My aunt kept saying “oh my god, you’re basically 30!” And I didn’t care. My brother at thanksgiving single-shamed me for the first time. I simply told him I didn’t like anyone. He mentioned some of his friends liked me. Tall guys, in Med school, handsome, funny. But I’m not interested. A few of my fri…

OLD was a great way for me to practice my vetting. Especially when you unmatch or don’t send likes so often, it can wear you down mentally and make you want to lower your standards. So much easier to recognize that from the safety of my home and stop myself rather than out in the wild. It’s a great way to test what you’ve learned and practice but I agree, OLD often shows folks’ true colors quickly and get you comfortable with saying no and blocking.

But I love that wasn’t even the reason she said she was turning him down. He is objectively creepy, whether or not she dates women.

I say my standards to my friends only, to normalize having standards. My friends with LVBFs always put it down and shame me but I also don’t care because I’m not looking for a relationship that mirrors theirs. And ngl ladies, when I tell those friends about the dates I go on and the guys I am meeting that I vetted are gentlemen, and funny, and treat me well they get super resentful of their icky boyfriends and are real quiet about my standards. I agree men can use our standards to manipulate us,…

Omg I used to deal with dates like this all the time before FDS where the guy had no respect for my time and I would still show up, but I would show up ANNOYED and already over it due to his lack of planning or the bulk of the mental labor of planning the date was on me 🤮 now if I don’t hear from them 24hrs in advance on a set time and place, I cancel it. It has saved me so much time, money, and annoyance rather than to hustle last minute to go to a date when it’s convenient for him already know…

Yes!! I work with youth, mainly young boys. My coworkers and I have made a huge point to teach them how to clean after themselves, take care of their bodies, and show respect and manners to everyone. One of my boys is in kindergarten and always holds doors open for people when we’re out and about, he takes care to make his hair look good, and we consistently model verbalizing our feelings and finding safe ways to manage them. FDS is for everyone in that way, we can raise boys to be HVM. If I wor…

You’re so right. He took his time to think and went through a 3rd party with the intention of getting your number. Which is pretty personal info tbh. I would have preferred if he asked that friend to set up another group hang so he could express his interest to you directly. Feels a little weird and juvenile to me as well tbh.

Girl BEEN. THERE. Sending you love and good vibes and so happy you found this sub. As you continue to level up, you’ll find friends with HVM or friends who share your values, it’s inevitable. Happened to me slowly but surely. Please remember it’s not a reflection on you how those men treated you. I tell myself now, “don’t be a nice girl, be an authentic woman” which means don’t be fake and play a part and try to be what they want so they’ll like you because it’s “nice.” When I’ve been my authent…

So they tell us to smile more but then don’t smile if you aren’t available but smile anyway because you don’t wanna be a bitch?! 🙄🙄

A guy told my friend happy birthday (we were walking to the restaurant for her birthday dinner and she was wearing a crown, he was a stranger on the street) so she blew him a kiss and smiled, he immediately goes “alright, fuck you then!” Bro WHAT

Yeah, I noticed a pattern in the guys I was dating. The pattern was they would behave in ways that were inconsiderate towards me, I’d communicate my feelings directly (I always say how I feel and what I’m thinking, so no one can call me passive aggressive or indirect) and they wouldn’t change at all. So I’d leave. They were always shocked and the numbers of times I’ve heard, “but that’s not a good reason to end things.” Sir, anyone can dump you for any reason. You are not entitled to me, there i…

He’s friends with a 15 year old… she makes him dinner… is she babysitting him or dating him?

What the fuck is their reasoning for this app. This is why I still wear a mask even though I’m vaccinated and my area lifted the mandates. I don’t get harassed, people don’t recognize me as easily or know who I am. I have 20/20 vision and sometimes wear the mask and glasses out so my stalker won’t recognize me.

I did go to school for that. To be PAID for that. Buying me a coffee does not count as compensation for 2 hrs of Connor trauma dumping on me while I listen lol

Men not taking care of their mental health affects everyone. If you normalize trauma dumping on everyone you date, it solves nothing. Men’s activists need to center their movement around normalizing men accepting help from professionals, not centering the movement around being anti-women. 🙄 because I agree, men have it rough in certain ways but popular men’s advocates focus on women being the problem rather than a toxic patriarchal society that forces men to be silent about their trauma and “be …

If it’s making you insecure, then it means deep down it matters to you in some way. The ring is important and he should have given her SOMETHING as a symbol of commitment and love, that’s not that hard to do.

LVM blame women for being gullible enough to date them. He literally says “she knew what I was like” and blamed her for reacting to his childish and abusive behavior. This is why it’s so important to know your worth and watch out for red flags. See how he treats other people, how he talks about other people. Because once he’s comfortable that’s how he’ll treat you too!

For my woowoo love and light FDS sisters— Know Your Aura has a lot of strong messages about cutting out toxic people from your life, helping you glow up into yourself, and manifest what you truly want. Something Mystic Michaela said is it’s not unreasonable to manifest and ask for someone “who fulfills you in every way.” Your standards are not too high. Dating comes up in it sometimes, but if you’re new to FDS and interested in spiritual stuff this is a great way to get in touch with YOU and wha…
