2	“If he was abusive, why did you stay with him?” Yes!! I hate when people ask this question to survivors. It takes so much strength and mental energy to leave an abusive relationship. People really don’t understand all the complexities of a trauma bond relationship. Leaving one is literally a death sentence for some women. Congrats on your freedom and independence! 21	When he says he doesn’t deserve you, it’s the truth.. don’t try to make him believe he does. This is such a good reminder. Plus, if a guy tells you about one of his flaws and it’s a known dealbreaker for you, just walk away and save yourself the trouble.
