One doesn't exclude the other. It's both capitalism and misandry issue.

That's the distinction I'm talking about: Stellar Blade characters are tastelessly sexualized, to the point of absurd and un-attractiveness, compared to other examples. "Sex sells" is a critical commentary, not a guide to action.

I strongly think videogames don't need any sexy characters whatsoever, in order to be fun (like, I sure don't play Satisfactory or Megabonk for the hotness of their characters); but the thing is, there are games with sexy or generally attractive characters (like Resident Evil, Nier Automata, Persona series), and also there are games with just tasteless character design (like Stellar Blade (both of them), or that Nikke-something one, which is also a gachs bullshit IIRC). Tastelessness (as well as…

I don't operate on something as unreliable as "faith". I feel disgust at these commenters. I also feel disgust at anyone who smokes in my vicinity. But I don't equate neither of them with the whole humanity. Each human is a human first and foremost; and each human is a human, an individual, to the same extent. It's just a fact, I don't need to "believe" in it. It's chauvinists of all sorts (including misandrists) who need to believe in the opposite of that fact.

Society won't improve and won't solve its societal-economical issues at all, unless it fundamentally changes (inclusively, by getting rid of chauvinism, and by "eating the rich"), and no, just "improving the birth rates" is not enough for that.

I doubt that society, which allows existence of the numerous forms of chauvinism (sexism, racism, transphobia, homophobia, ageism, lookism, etc) among itself, is working in the best interests of its participants.

No, it's not a solution. Imposing additional expectations and/or responsibilities on humans based on immutable characteristics of said humans is the textbook example of chauvinism (and sexism is one of the types of chauvinism). No amount of additional benefits (even if they are objectively valuable, which is very naive to expect) makes chauvinism even slightly acceptable.

masculine traits—such as high energy and competitiveness There is no need to divide human traits into “masculine” and “feminine”. Especially, since, while some people would treat, let's say, competitiveness in boys as behavioral problems, some other people would treat the lack of competitiveness in boys as behavioral problems, and all of those people would be wrong and harmful to those boys.

there’s no such thing as a “true” definition of something Such position is harmful for everyone, especially for us LWMAs. There's always a true definition of any term. And there always may exists some forces that use the name of that term as a shield to hide their actions (and actions mean more than names) that would contradict the definition of that term. Us, rationally people should expose such acts of misusing the terms, instead of allowing those forces to co-opt those terms and mold their de…

If they do so then they are ignorant. Try your best not to interact with people who are definitely known to be ignorant. Most of the time, no one single human being has enough resources (of any kind) to fix anyone's ignorance. Even groups of people are hardly capable of doing that.

I don't think it's a good idea to sort of "give up" on a term just because someone else puts different meaning in it. I mean, we wouldn't accept "sexism" being "only against women", then how "materialism" is any different?

This is the "no true scottsman" fallacy, FWIW. Being politically left means being egalitarian. But one can't "be egalitarian" by just claiming that they are. Or else a misandrist ""feminist"" should be egalitarian just because they claimed to be one (which they often do). Also, I never understood how "being a Scotsman" [which means originating from Scotland, which 1) is not something one can choose; 2) says nothing about one's personality] can be compared to being a supporter of an ideology, whi…

> Isn't progressivism just what most people say it is? No. Many people would say that sexism exist/matters only when it's against women, but they'd be obviously wrong. Dictionary definitions matter more than "what people say". Logic and humanism matter more than most other things. "All humans are humans first and foremost. "no true Scotsman fallacy" is a dumb concept, even its naming is dumb (because suggesting that a human's place of birth defines their personality is dumb). A human is politically left/right not because they simply said so, but because they have corresponding convictions; same goes for parties/countries/etc. A person may call themselves 'progressive' all they want (and usually feminists want to be perceived as egalitarian), but if they perform misandry, then they are complete opposite of egalitar…

I've already said. It's the [idea about how men must live and act] that was constructed and shaped by society over the course of humankind history. This idea can be simply called "gender" (not to confuse with gender identity, transgenderness, etc.). The male gender is more strict and less malleable then female gender, which is also how society came to be through it's history. Biology has very little to do with all of this, it was more like a convenient set of circumstances.

I think any modern country (meaning their governments) is either misandrist or has potential to become [more] misandrist in certain conditions. None of them can be trusted. Be firmly assured that these people are absolutely unimportant to your life. They mean nothing. They are still humans, but their words, their thoughts, their names - mean nothing. They are ignorant, which means they don't even want to think about changing their worldview; and a singular person usually doesn't have enough strength or other resources to try and change those people's worldviews (and isn't obligated to waste them on it). His friends him give head nods, and maybe a jab about being pussywhipped. This may happen, not sure it's that widespread tho. Anyway, those aren't "friends", and people need to learn to recognize that, which won't happen without education. So, fuck nihilism, it's unhelpful. Not to mention this is like point 127 in order of importance in men's problems list. I mean, "friends", "girlfriend", "wife", wtf is all that? lol

I mean, not everybody knows that [hardcore] misandrists exist and/or how ridiculous they are. But yeah, recently I also have come to conclusion that there's no point in arguing with ignorant people face-to-face and trying to change their mind, it just won't happen, that's why they're ignorant in the first place. But broadcasting our views and highlights of misandry is still necessary.

I'm agender (probably this puts me under non-binary umbrella) AMAB; I don't have any particular gender expression. It's better to understand than to be ignorant. So, yes, it's a good use of our time. Obviously, next logical step - seizing of political power and establishing actually egalitarian world order - is much more complicated, but it surely won't ever be achieved without places like LWMA. After all, there are other things that got somewhat better (even if obviously still not the best) in human society, like average working conditions. Fleeing as an AMAB from Russia now is also complicated as many other countries simply won't accept them - another example of worldwide misandry. Any meaningful political resistance in Russia was choked long ago. And trying to actually overthrow a militarized fascist government with numerous police and feds for…

I think proper understanding of antinatalistic ideas is important for male advocacy. It's not just about procreating, it's about ethics behind procreating. The problem here lies in the "women's issues are more pressing" statement being completely false. It's the men's issues that are more pressing, often being the question of life and death. And, since we don't have infinite (or even just huge amount of) resources of any kind, the more pressing issues are first to be dealt with. You first feed those who starved more. Feminism is in control of academic research on gender/equality topics, also maybe they hinder initiatives that would help men specifically (shelters, etc.); but control of whole societies? Feminism is the number one reason why. Not really. Governments/corporations/society are and were considering men expendable even without feminism influence. By the way, if (and it's really a big stretch, because that will never happen) all humans will choose to not continue procreating solely by their own will, then what is more important: freedom of will or human species existence? 🌚😅

Gender roles include mating behavior and procreation. Behavior - kinda, but not the fact of mating or procreation, those are biological matters. Gender is a social matter. I know there isn't a fully established definition of a term "gender", but I use this and I think it does the job of being not confunsing: "Gender is a collective designation of ideas and practices tied to sex; a social construct that defines human's behavior and human's perception in society depending on the sex of a human." "…

"immediate danger of our existence ceasing" won't happen at least until aging Sun will burn Earth's suface, which is a lot of time. A lack of ethics/morals would itself lead to society's destruction, so it's a necessity, not a luxury. [I don't really understand, why should I explain such things here, of all places]

No. Gender roles are artificial and discriminatory. Being dimorphic is natural, but it's not a reason to create and maintain gender roles. I didn't write "humanity should be abolished", I wrote "such society should be abolished", meaning "in order to establish a new, ethical one, if the last one couldn't be corrected".

Existence of gender roles is unethical. If a society can't find ways to exist without gender roles then existence of such society is unethical, thus such society should be abolished.

Well, society often dismisses feelings of men, that's true.

"Does the average human need it to live a fully self actualized life?" No. Humans can live fine and well without sex (like, there is nothing wrong with masturbation). But society/corporations/governments/whatever are trying hard to make you think otherwise (because they can use it for in-/directly gaining profits of different sorts), which is what actually causes anxiety/depression in humans, especially men, not the "not having sex".

"Male sexlessness" is not a problem. Society promoting sex as a great status value, especially for men, is a real problem that actually causes anxiety and depression in men.

If a society lives off of men' self-sacrifices then it doesn't deserve to exist. Though, we already live in such a society. Oh, well.

"No True Scotsman" is a meaningless concept, especially when applied to ideologies. Yes, many "feminists" are not actually feminists, and yes, it's important to acknowledge that they don't actually support gender equality and that they aren't opposed by "actual" feminists, thus constituting the face of modern feminism, while still being fakes. > "I have no interest in "taking back the word" from people who misuse it." With such attitude you'll end up without words. The word "sexism" is also mi…

And it is acceptable how exactly?..

Generally agree; though I don't understand, in what context it is acceptable to demand from someone to give you access to personal data (like messages) on their phones.

If somebody (regardless of gender) likes being cat-called, then they are pathetic idiots and should improve their self-esteem.

It's not "on average", men commit quantitatively more suicides in the same year.

Is it really higher? You said yourself that your experience of DV was minimised, maybe this could be also the case of DV-murders of men. Though, I'm not sure if there is a difference between being murdered at home or on a street, and generally men are murdered more often than women. Also, again, stop with this "average"-ism. It doesn't help.

I'm freaking tired of all this "average"-ism, it's pointless and unhelpful, especially for men.

Sadly, in this day and age those "gender neutral" resources would quickly degenerate into "women only", because of feminism's hegemony on fields of academical gender studies, social justice (which by itself is a good thing; tired of [edit: seeing "SJW" used] as a slur), human rights defense initiatives, etc.

"and anyone who identifies with "the other" must therefore be an enemy by default because they are not one of us." Well, no, they must not. Women aren't inherently enemy to MRAs, non-LGBT people aren't inherently enemy to LGBT activists, etc. Anyone who think/state otherwise is a dumb MF, regardless of their social group, and shouldn't be listened to. And if those dumb MFs call themselves MRA, LGBT activists, etc. - they are lying. "I'm convinced that the vast majority all want the same things. …

Everyone has problems, but some groups have more problems than others, so they need more resources to deal with, and resources aren't endless, because activists aren't oligarchs/governments.

And this quote proves that I'm right and 7th image in OP is lying about the "only" part. u/TheTinMenBlog , fact checking isn't less important than highlighting sexism against men. Also, the article had no link to that "city's contract".

Erm.. Where does it say on their website, esp. this page, that the program is only for "women, transgender and gender-nonconforming individuals"? Didn't it occur to images' author that men can also be "transgender and gender-nonconforming individuals" (both separately and simultaneously)?

What, even if they're allergic to cats? 😅 I just meant that your comment sounded like it's bad to be childless/single [for anybody] - which really is not, like, I want to be childless and single. Sorry if I misunderstood you.

They are hareful misandrist bigots, but how is being childless/single related to that?

1) Misandry is not just "women hate men", it's "society hates men"; 2) In Russia there are plethora of women hating men; not all, of course, but they exist; and it's women who are the majority of current Russian government's electorate; and no - none of it contradicts with point 1). 3) In Russia there are many gendered laws (having any mention of people's gender, which must not be a thing) and most of them punish men harder than women for the same violation. 4) We (Masculist Initiative) don't de…

This is a news digest for the last week from our social media (link is in the article). Use google translate or another translator (yandex may be a valid option) to understand what the speech is about. In short, it became clearer about the systemic tortures of men in prisons, men were forbidden to talk about violations of their rights in the army, attacks on immigrants and gay men continue, supporters of the Putin government want to officially start an anti-male campaign aimed at persuading men …
