We can acknowledge it, of course. However, stating that it happens with anyone isn’t relevant to what I was saying. My original reply was in regards to the users here assuming the worst in others, despite it not being a proper tactic for a debate forum. They just happen to be blackpill, so adding another factor doesn’t add much. Though, I apologize if I came off harsh. My point still stands, but I acknowledge that my irl mood can impact my typing. Thanks for being easier to talk to than those wi…

I didn’t say you specifically did it, that was an example of what I’ve seen when encountering some blackpill users. Saying both sides do it is useless because again, that doesn’t justify doing it at all. I’m not going to debate basic human decency and common sense anymore. Trying to have a conversation here is worse than reasoning with a second grader.

Knowing other people may do it too isn’t justification to do it to others. Saying it’s bad to generalize blackpill users then generalizing women or bluepill users is another example. That is called hypocrisy, which is a term I’ve seen thrown around on this subreddit.

Of course not. But assuming the worst in someone with zero evidence related to them specifically isn’t constructing an argument either.

SOME women go after men based on looks and physique alone. No one’s denying the existence of these things. Y’all just make it out to be every woman’s problem. Not to mention that grooming, sex work, and similar things often come from a place of manipulation and harsh circumstances. People have different lives they’re living and different motivations that come with it.

Well he sounds stupid, doesn’t he? And you know what stupidity attracts? More stupidity! It has nothing to do with societal structure. I don’t see why I should consider becoming blackpill simply because of a handful of incidents people toss around, especially when they’re all from celebrities and people on the internet. Applying this logic to the glass metaphor, that’d be like whining that the glass is mostly full opposed to spilling over the brim.

I’m just here to debate and comment. I mean, its in the subreddit title. It’s hard to have a balanced discussion here when most people are blackpill-aligned. I say this on your comment specifically because, despite this being a DEBATE forum, there will be multiple users denying others’ personal experiences are true. What’s the point in having a debating space where anyone opposed to the majority is assumed to be lying or secretly coping? Jumping to conclusions is not an argument.

You’re right, it’s not inherently wrong. Feeling bitter is just something that comes with life experiences sometimes. Still better to not make broad generalizations based on it, but it happens. Pointing fingers and disrespecting others out of negative emotions isn’t practical. It gets you nowhere.

I mean I’ve seen it with less conventionally attractive people too. As I said, some people really don’t care if everything else is going for them.

Honestly had no idea who that guy was until I looked him up. Articles giving him the title of “hot felon” reminds me of true crime teenage girls that have an “I can fix him” mentality. Though if it’s the fact that he got a girlfriend after the incidents that prove your point, that’s not much to go off of. Some people just aren’t going to care what you did a decade ago if you have everything else going for you.

Let’s be real: no one is perfect. We’ve realized this or at least been told this since we were still in diapers. And you know what? That’s okay. What’s not okay is being cynical in the sense of considering whole categorizations of people to have the same, if not extremely similar, flaws. Not all men are worthy of being called pigs. Not all women are worthy of being called inferior. Can we stop trying to pretend billions of people are all going to have the same core? We can acknowledge others str…

I knew a girl in high school that mostly only pursued men that were scrawny or much shorter than her. She had a few outliers she went for simply by personality compatibility but she definitely had a type. Heard of similar stories from others but the point I’m trying to make is that people have different types, broad or narrow.

Wow, now I'm envious. My discomfort with adult content causes my brain to fry when I come across surprise plugs.

Going through public server listings makes stuff like that unavoidable. You could search any type of server and there will always be someone trying to get you to check out adult content. The demand is unhealthily high.

Unfortunately for social and political conflicts, those three subjects you’ve brought up are often misinterpreted or oversimplified by the masses due to the depth they go into. No point in arguing over topics such as gender if nobody wants to educate themselves.

If you go on server listings you’ll be met with a swarm of women looking for money and men asking women to work for them. It’s like OnlyFans and sugar baby work on a smaller scale. I avoid it at all costs because I’m both not interested and not looking to be scammed. I’d recommend staying away from it if I were you. There are a lot of underage girls offering things and it makes me want to hurl.

I only go on discord to talk to irl friends and follow strict niches I’m into. Chatting on there casually is a dumpster fire of any weird internet archetypes you can think of.

Honestly? These situations are scarce compared to the content you find online that’s there simply to make you mad. All households have issues to some degree but they’re not all going to be the SAME issue.

In committed relationships? Yeah, it’s mostly the little things that can mean the world. Working on personal projects together, mutual support/respect that can go beyond friendship, having someone there that wants to listen and have your back, having intimate moments that reminds you why you wanted to be with them at all. Being able to go down a path with a woman in life, working through all the ups and downs together. This is all a PERSONAL opinion. Not everyone is suited to that type of compan…

Yes, exactly. Social media constantly pushes the narrative that relationships = happiness and for many people, this mindset creates disaster. Only being in a relationship to cure loneliness tends to turn into just as bad of a mess.

Sounds like Richard Montañez but taller. Janitor to millionaire? Sounds like a mobile game about working up the corporate ladder.

Yep, I get that. Despite what I’ve seen on my end, feminism just doesn’t feel like the most fitting title anymore. I hope your social media feeds calm down with that. Most of the people I’ve met that align with it have been very considerate if that’s the word. The bad apples will always shout louder than the rest.

Social media has diluted the definition of modern feminism on all ends of the political spectrum. By the broadest terms I’ve found in the past, modern-day feminism focuses on mutual respect and equality without regards to sex, both legally and socially. No matter how much one does or doesn’t align with that, what I’m trying to say is about as objective as I can grasp. Not every feminist stands for all the same things and vice versa.

This question goes for anyone: why is height such a big factor in relationships? What are you going to do with a taller partner, force them to reach things on the top shelf? Using partner height to raise self value seems so shallow. As much as I’d like to say height bias doesn’t exist, I’ve seen it around and it makes me feel weird.

I’m all for having more healthy dating tips on social media platforms. In regards to the study you sent me, I like the depth it goes into. It’s definitely something to keep in mind.

I’m not the type of person this post is catering to but it still somewhat applies. I’m always stuck worried about how I’m going to speak with impact in social situations, so this feels like a “no duh, why didn’t I think of that” moment. I mean, don’t people communicate to be thoughtfully heard? I might’ve missed the mark but maybe it’ll come in handy.

Yeah, what I can find feels very black and white when it comes to their views on men, and not positive ones. I’m glad those groups aren’t too mainstream, but the fact that it exists still doesn’t sit right with me. It’s late for me so this might be a stupid question, but how much would you say the income differences between spouses could sway how common this issue is? Honestly, I like to give people the benefit of the doubt, but I’m always learning.

Thank you for responding with a solid example, I'll have to dig into that. I do agree with your last statement though. Statistics and survey samples will always be flawed in some way across sources(*), so while we can make estimates, exacts are always a topic of discussion.

While I have no doubt that marriages like this exist, "most women" may be an overstatement. Looking into it, such a thing being widespread doesn't add up with the numbers from multiple sources. As of 2021, the lower and middle class made up roughly 80% of the US population. Dual-income households make up a bit more than half of the population. It's not easy to sit back and take your husband's money when you're living paycheck to paycheck. Outside statistics, why would anyone in the position to l…
