It's a huge myth propagated by lazy dieters and diet book gurus that say you have to eat a lot of small meals to keep your metabolism going. The "starvation mode" humans go into when losing too much weight too fast can take several weeks to kick in, not one to two days. 1	This made me more angry than it should have. Why? Because people actually believe this. Women ARE biologically programmed to choose mates more selectively. Men, however, are not designed to fuck everything. This is why females have so many secondary sex characteristics.
