10	Brush and Floss your Teeth That means you haven’t been flossing your teeth. The plaque builds up and it starts eating away at your gums. As your gums are receding the plaque takes over that spot. You basically are scraping off the layers of plaque that covers the gum when you floss again. The gums will bleed. Best analogy would be a scab on your skin.
