Listed from a feminist sub, the most popular definition of patriarchy right now is "a system of society or government in which men hold the power and women are largely excluded from it." If I am accusing that we are talking about most developed societies, then a patriarchy cannot exist because it implies that most men have more power and rights than women, and most women are oppressed victims that can't do anything. No one I've seen made the argument that patriarchy doesn't work historically (ev…

I'm sure that most don't.

You've said this before, but yeah this is more common in Gen Z and millennial east coast culture. It's mostly inspired by African American culture as gender norms are loosely followed in those cultures. Not a whole lot to do with feminism. Just find some white valley girls and you'll be alright.

Speak for yourself, there is a lot of hate and resentment around the world towards men as a class that is being normalized and going unchecked. It was become so much of a problem that government and society decides to favor women in overall choices at the disposal of men. Society also encourages active hate and discrimination against men in policies and institutions that would not fly if It was directed at the other sex. It is very unfortunate that women are being killed by men, some with the in…

General feminist hypocrisy that stems from prejudice from the past. Men are oppressors, women are oppressed. Woman are capable of benevolent sexism while men are capable of malevolent sexism. "We don't need men" and "men are trash" statements.

I never understood how you could support something completely separate from your identity as they consistently disrespect your own identity. These men would rather support random women than their own brothers and fathers.

Are we not egalitarian? My bad, I thought we were.

Ironically, when a woman calls a man an "incel" they are often objectifying woman and their selves as sexual objects. So, really they are telling on their selves and their beliefs on sexual value.

Don't be a hypocrite when you literally mock your own fellow men and call them "beta cucks"

That's any dating sub in general. Even relationship advice has a lot of pro-female/anti-male bias.

Bruh, what? How many of you would sacrifice yourselves for the safety of another stranger, who probably doesn't give flying fuck about you, to play hero? That is the most nonsensical argument because anything can happen out there on the streets. Do they not understand that when a man enters an altercation like this, there is a possibility that it could escalate? It's very shameful to attack a woman as it is, but nobody would take the opportunity to protect another man from a guy who is going all…

Well, women have higher expectations and standards for sex in order to enjoy it. Women need to feel safe, comfortable, valued, and sometimes they even need to feel a connection just to want and enjoy sex. Men just need to be attracted to you physically, and know that you won't chop their junk off (which is normally given). Not to mention that it is harder to get a woman off and it takes them longer to be turned on. Men can get turned pretty quickly once they see or feel something that stimulates…

What's anti-feminist about this besides the fact that gender expectations are completely dogshit amongst Gen Z and millennials? This post comes across as more red pill than anything.

Well, I mean yeah if I am in the workplace with toxic feminists and they have the upper hand. Then, I am going to follow this advice in order to not deal with any trouble. In a normal context, I wouldn't follow this.

I don't know the context, so I will hold my opinion. But I think that bro hit way too hard imo for the situation.

Yeah, I was talking about generally concerning individuals that say crazy shit in circlejerk forums. I was referring incels on the internet (see 'IncelTear' or '4chan' red-pill types) that feminists do see that we do not. So, somehow lonely desperate men are lumped in with those people, and that is often used as a way to dismiss men's issues with dating. It might've been a poor choice of words since I know that some of that even happens here. But often we are mistaken as the same groups of peopl…

They love to bring guilt by association. A fair amount of incels are often bitter against woman and blame their issues on them. So, they assume anyone who complains about dating must also be an incel. It's a way to tune out being able to hear real issues or show any sympathy towards your "oppressors" I bet if you would ask this in a feminist sub, they would double down and assume that you are also one of those people.

Yeah but why? You sent this to feminism subs (and it got removed) but sent it to ours first? I'll take it once I get a look at it.

You know that they will make the argument that misogyny is more serious because of "femicide", misandry isn't systematic like misogyny or women are oppressed. Some bullshit to downplay any harm towards men.

Do you want "research" research or collective anecdotes? Proving that men feel unwelcomed by feminism could show in a lot of posts (even outside of this sub), yet there is limited research on how men as a whole feel about feminism and its negative effects. Note to others: OP is actually a decent person with an open mind, not an angry deluded "gotcha" feminist. You can't see his/her comments because of moderation queue, so until then check their profile.

I've been watching this sub for a while and it seems like the majority of you aren't anti-feminist, but anti-misandrist. No, I would have to disagree with most of this. I am also against the "patriarchy" conspiracy theory. I am against the belief that women are oppressed (legally) in western civilizations by the government (MAYBE with the exception of Roe v. Wade). I am against that idea that female privilege cannot exist because "male privilege" is systematic. I am against the idea that woman c…

It's another toxic feminism subreddit. They're more concerned about the top-level comments of anyone who doesn't behave like a "textbook feminist" than policing other feminists making themselves look bad by spewing their toxic "misandry" nonsense.

They're not super common, but they're definitely not rare. I could say that they are more common amongst younger generations of married couples than those really old ones.

Exactly because feminism is just a biased movement that they want men to have no part of, but peddle for them. Most of the rights that they have today are from the same "patriarchy" that they are trying to dismantle, it makes no sense.

Well, you've made a huge generalization about the members of this subreddit. Most of us are simply reactionaries to the toxic nature of feminism that most feminists refuse to acknowledge.

The first two posts, I would have to agree with you. I left that in there because it was in the OP. But, I don't think youve witnessed how antagonistic dating subs can be for men who may not share the same social experience. He's overly defensive, but I can see why.
