This ALL day I’ve been separated/divorced for 7 years and it’s always the same. You ‘talk’ or ‘date’ for a few weeks and then it’s over, so you move on to the next. At this point, I have zero expectations about getting into a new relationship and I’m just living my life the way I want too I’ve also put much more of a focus on my son, as he is really the only one that matters now anyway

Of course not. That’s not financially responsible as a parent It took me about 5 years or so to pay it off

That’s where we are different. If there are kids involved money is absolutely no object to me. Between my divorce and having to take my ex wife back to court, I paid over $165k It’s just money

That’s not true, at all. It depends on where you live I hope you documented it. I would hire a PI and have them get more information so it is legally documented for court. If you have that information in my state, you don’t have to wait so long to get a divorce and you can also use that to get more, too

I’m not really sure because I don’t keep up with it. Our son says she looks sad all the time and never laughs or goes out anywhere. Apparently, she also has no friends anymore either. This has been going on for years, though. Lately, he says he’s caught her crying in her room several times too

My ex wife knows nothing about my life. She left about 7 years ago and is absolutely miserable

I’m not sure why it matters at all. Her feelings are no longer his responsibility

There is no accountability at all

We may be biased, but we are unfortunately educated on marriage and what can happen because of it I wouldn’t get married, honestly

Hopefully it can be enforced. I don’t know how all that works

Yeah and I agree. Not a smart move, regardless of how much you love the other person

That person is making a BIG mistake. I don’t think it’s ever smart to go in 50/50 on any big purchase after divorce. There should be a prenup at the very least to protect him

I would tell you that just because you accepted it, doesn’t mean that that it’s the best decision for both of you. I believe that no one makes better decisions for me than myself and it sounds like she made that decision for you I understand that there’s nothing you can do to change it because it takes two to be in a relationship. However, that doesn’t mean you are forced to agree with her decision I’ve been there and it sucks. If it helps, my ex wife of 10 years is royally screwing up her life.…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
