Inevitability of evolution of sentient life in the cosmos, carbon-based or otherwise. If we (and other organisms) stop breeding, evolution would simply happen again on this planet and others. Even if we chemically harmed the earth in such a way to prevent re-evolution after we are gone, who is to say novel life-forms that can co-exist with the chemically harmed earth will not emerge? There was mobility and meritocracy with respect to caste before the British. Even cultural heroes and philosophers were born in one caste but based on their actions entered another one.
