Yep, totally. Is it possible that she has good self-control, understands they're orbiters but also knows and respects an existing relationship she's in? Obviously rare, but seems possible (and not just .001%).

You're trying to work hard, not smart. Take a few days and figure out how you can build an asset that can grow and make you money over time. Formulate a solid plan on how you can take that asset and have it make money for you. Invest in that asset (hopefully something you're passionate in), and watch it grow over time. Hustling for pocket change is a quick ticket to poor-ville.

Beta males attacking you here also. I strongly recommend taking a martial art. Not so much for the reality of "if" a fight happens, but you act with a different level of confidence when you have martial arts training; you naturally say things you wouldn't normally say when you have the confidence to completely defend yourself. I'd take an MMA boxing class with some BJJ or wrestling. You'll get muscles in places you never thought were possible. My 2c. Good luck.

I like your perspective, thanks dude. I tried your latter suggestion, and she just comes back with "we're adults, I need you to respect my time alone." Doesn't seem like a clear cut response to something like that, unless I double down...

This is all really great advice man. Appreciate you taking the time. I'll mull it over and make a decision. It seems like it might be worth having a brief conversation about the shutting down part. She mentions how much she doesn't like when other people do it to her. I know logical conversations turn pussies into the Sahara Desert, but a brief convo telling her why her actions are disrespectful might seem worth it, no? I wouldn't tell her shutting down is infuriating, just that it's disrespectf…

Not a bad point, just annoying to play back and forth games, you know? I'm obviously doing my own thing; I'm not just sitting at home contemplating when she'll respond to me, so she has no direct impact on me in that way, I'd just prefer not playing those very petty games.

The answer is simple. Don't try to control her, and don't move until September. Gauge how she acts when she comes back. If she acts weird and different, she most likely cheated.

Oh, I'm the exact opposite of a hero, lmao. I have bitches do things for me that most people here wouldn't believe. I don't give a shit about anything other than achieving my goals in life. If I allow a woman my time, they better make me happy, or I'll just stop communicating with them. My philosophy is the following: as long as I'm deeply respected and taken care of by my woman, I don't allow someone's history (within reason) to affect my decisions with them. I have 0 control over past events. …

Got it. Good insight. I definitely need to be a little more beta at the right times to reinforce that positive behavior. In this situation... what are you thoughts on how I can best approach this overtly? Assuming I just give her space and let her come to me, let her know I made a mistake, and move on? Thanks man
/r/askTRP07/05/17 09:32 PM

It doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is how she treats you. Everything else is not worth worrying or thinking about because you have no control over it.
/r/askTRP28/04/17 05:01 PM
14

You acknowledged her by deciding that responding was worth your valuable time - bad idea. Let her vent. Telling her to do something is counterproductive, and exactly what she wants. You can only ignore it. Any sort of direct response to her behavior is exactly what she wants - attention. When you withdraw attention, the behavior you're ignoring eventually stops. By acknowledging it (responding), you're reinforcing her bad behavior. Basic psychology.
/r/askTRP26/04/17 07:51 PM
64

0 reason to directly acknowledge anything she messaged you - you entered her frame by doing this. All consequences after that are a failure of your frame.
/r/askTRP26/04/17 07:32 PM
4

Your response: "I'm a dangerous guy." Then, regardless what she says after, tell her what bar/place to meet you. If she's serious / interested, she'll accept. Otherwise, screw her and spend your valuable time other places.

Great points. You're right. Evaluating motivations behind each action is really important. The only reason why I would be reaching out to her is to satisfy my own insecurities; there's 0 gain from setting conditions or reaching out first outside of that insecurity. Not initiating anything is basically a "reverse-dread".

Got it. Makes sense. Do I tell her to call me when she gets back to her room later that evening, or should I wait and see if she offers to? Appreciate the advice.

Understood. But this is generally my reaction almost every single time. Is this a comfort test in your eyes, or more of a shit test? Hard to tell. Your response seems like a reaction to a shit test by flipping what she's saying and not directly responding. Either way I completely get you're saying.

What clued you in on thinking she expects something for her birthday? More importantly, why is this the "shitty part" to you? Give her your time if you're that convinced about giving her something - go to the wine store, buy a $10 merlot, some cheese & ritz crackers - set it up nice, and tell her to come over your place. Get her buzzed and fuck like rabbits. Your brain is completely resource based. You want more stuff, and you strive to gain more stuff. You take this fact, and assume (and billio…

You're her rebound hookup/fling. Next time it comes up, just go with the flow and tell her you have no interest in a relationship, but you enjoy having her around. Keep the tone very light - almost too light - like it's such an afterthought you can barely muster up the energy to spit the sentence out. The less you seem to care in your response, the better chance you have of keeping her around as a hookup. DO NOT engage in a relationship with her in any way - obviously you know this.

Your problem is the mindset of "putting in all the hard work." You're not coming from a "I'm the prize" mentality, and she is lucky to have you give your time. You need to act this way 100% of the time while females are around you - that's where your entire mentality is off. Also, anyone putting in "hard work" like you seem to think you're doing, and not getting much in return is a mental drain. You should be putting hard work into yourself, not putting hard work in to a relationship hoping your…

Why try to stop her from doing something she wants to do ? Whenever you take an action to mate-guard, ask yourself if you're doing it because you have your own insecurities, or if you're doing it because you legitimately think your LTR is in danger, or you're being disrespected. Never stop her from doing something she wants to do. It's her right. You were low-energy beta the prior weeks, and she was looking for comfort. I always try to spin disagreements into an aloof comment with a smirk on my face, whether it's a serious topic or not. For example, during the election cycle, a lot of my friends & co-workers were anti-Trump. My response was always "yeah, I totally am not voting for Trump; he said mean things to women 12 years ago" smirk, Etc... You can apply this to everything. Nothing ever has to be seriously discussed unless it's a topic that means a lot to you, even then, use your serious comments sparingly.…

He's essentially the leader of the most successful tribe in human history. Of course he's fucking alpha. He fucks whoever he wants, he does whatever he wants (he's a billionaire), and he currently commands a nation of over 350 million people with arguably the strongest army in the world. He doesn't necessarily get drawn into other people's frames more than he genuinely challenges people on their bullshit; that's arguably a noble cause when there's such a sea of bullshit out there.

You're assuming resistance training won't help you toward your goals of losing fat, when it absolutely will. You won't lose as much nominal weight on the scale, but you will still lose the same (if not slightly more) fat, and have the added benefit of aesthetically looking (and feeling) 50x better.

Most other subs make recommendations that have literally 0 basis in reality. Deltoids are a small muscle group. They are compromised of primarily slow twitch muscle fibers, which generally respond better to higher rep ranges and higher volume. Same with abs, same with forearms, etc. You could very easily bring reps up to 30 and still see similar hypertrophy. Current sports science very strongly supports this.

Front, side, and rear. You need to do all 3 for a balanced cannonball look. I'd do 3 sets each (15-20 reps). Shoulders benefit from frequency and higher reps. Best back exercises are barbell rows, cable rows, cable pulldowns, face pulls, and pullups.

It won't, but they'll condition your abs and make your body more postured/well balanced/strong. All benefits.

What body part(s) do women find most attractive ? What body part does she first see when glancing at you from a distance ? Your shoulders/arms/forearms; more specifically, your shoulder/waist ratio. Women find broad shoulders and slim waists most attractive; everything else in-between is trivial and changes from girl to girl. Best exercises to improve your shoulder/waist ratio ? Fork put downs, ab exercises of all variety, and shoulder raises (front, side, and rear). What muscles does she notice…

/r/askTRP25/01/17 03:51 PM

It's just the scenario as a whole. She didn't tell me, and she deleted texts. Obviously both big red flags. Seeing if it's worth even approaching at this point, that's all.

Fair points. Seeming butt hurt about it is a bad move. Fair enough. This seems like potentially the best move here. Does a boundary need to be established through a brief discussion involving me telling her what I expect, or should this entire thing never be brought up again ?

Just seems a bit naive to paint such a black and white picture when benefits of her in a relationship with me far out weighs completely cutting contact when hard dread and keeping emotional distance are easily implementable options. She treats me like a God. Men and women make mistakes.
/r/askTRP25/01/17 06:07 AM
-1

No other red flags. She's completely in love with me and constantly tries to get my attention. Cooks, blowjobs and desire to have sex every day... she's infatuated with me in every sense of the word. Withdrawing emotion and dreading seems like the best thing here while being mindful. Thoughts?
/r/askTRP25/01/17 06:03 AM
-1

Is there a scenario where she deleted the messages because she was over it? As unlikely as that is, of course. Is there any way I can approach this without coming off beta and establishing boundaries appropriately ? Seems like withdrawing emotion completely will make my point crystal clear. We all make mistakes (not rationalizing bad behavior, just stating a human character flaw we all commit).
/r/askTRP25/01/17 05:57 AM

Can trust ever legitimately be regained in a relationship if it's lost? We all make mistakes, and the last thing I'm doing is rationalizing her behavior, but is it possible to accept and clearly set a boundary that if crossed again means completely severing contact?

Her ex messaged her during the holidays. Not sure what the complete contents of messages were. She said she deleted everything. Obviously trickle truth going on here in some capacity. Is there anything I can do to establish frame and try to work this out ? Obviously not the end of the world. She saw me messaging my ex over my shoulder a few months ago and I made no deal of it. Is it possible to forgive and move on through TRP lens ?

In the middle. If it was skeletons in the closet I would no longer be speaking to her. Just enough to be extremely disappointed - that's all. She knows trust is very important, so she is not a mindless low IQ fool that doesn't understand her actions. I am being intentionally vague because it's not something I want to discuss directly on my main account, but the tenets of advice should still stand.

By actually not giving a fuck. Focus your mental energy on other things. Exercise, bettering yourself as a man, career, friends, hobbies, etc. It sounds simple, but just do it. Stop actually thinking about it. You must view yourself as the prize if you want to be effective. Eventually, when you continue training your brain to feel and think this way, you will adopt this mindset 24/7/365. It takes a while, but if you put legitimate effort into doing it, it will begin to come very easy to you.

The only way you can approach this is by doing your own thing, instilling a little dread, don't message/interact as much, outwardly ignore her if she's near you doing your own thing (by seeming deeply involved with whatever you're doing, not by appearing butt-hurt), and see how long it takes her to ask you to have sex. Don't pout or appear to be butt-hurt in any way; do your own thing and legitimately be busy doing other things. Next time she asks for sex, decline - say you're busy, don't give a…

You need to apply that mentality to all your relationships, not just with women. Not saying you have to be an autist about it, but say and do whatever you want, bro. That's your problem.

Once you adopt a literal "I don't give a fuck what you think" mentality people will enter your frame. Right now all you're doing is trying to supplicate and enter other people's frames (women, in this case) - and that mentality becomes draining very quickly.

Operant conditioning. Basic human psychology - Redpill or not. When your girlfriend is bothering you, tell her to stop whatever she's doing that's bothering you. Removing attention is the only legitimate way you can convey your dissatisfaction; not getting into a contrived conversation, in your case complaining like a woman (actions > words). Tell her if she gives you that look again you'll have to teach her a big lesson in bed... or any variation of that. Be aloof. Back to the basics. She's a child. Not at all. I actively fucked several women as I courted her and she started becoming more attached. I aloofly teased her about this in an indirect way, and my frame allowed her to be fine with it as long as I gave her some attention every once and a while. She happened to be more interesting/better fuck than the other women I was seeing. This has nothing to do with wanting a slut and not being able to fuck / LTR other women. Not really. I get what you're saying, but it isn't as big of a deal as you're making it. This is a temporary position for her until she passes her nursing certification exam. I get what you're saying; no question about it, but I don't argue with women, so nothing can be held against me in any way. It's always a professional interaction at work and privately I am always aloof, slightly arrogant, but never emotional. I completely understand your point about not shitting where I eat.

I get what you're saying, but I had no idea at the time, and nothing initially indicated this was the case.

Fascinating insight & story man... I'm really glad to see that things turned around for you. Since this post I have already stopped messaging her completely. Going full dread right now, and eventually when she calls me out for not talking to her I will tell her I am too busy to continue anything meaningful with her. I'll make it short and simple. I already know I am going to get rejected, so I prefer to save the pity from her and move on while I'm still ahead; I won't harbor any ill-feelings tow…

To your question... yes I would. We're both extremely motivated individuals; she's the only person that genuinely has any interest in the world around her; the economy, her health, diets... I bounce ideas off her constantly; we share very similar general interests, and she understands my sense of humor. But I do not deny that my oneitis is really bad... very unfortunate that it is so terrible with a woman that I share so many things in common with, but I am aware of it.

Without a doubt... I love it.

This is actually extremely good advice, and I will work toward doing this so the ball is in her court... Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I think it's extremely important to make sure she knows she isn't being rejected, but simply being put on the back-burner by another woman.

Seriously seriously thank you for this... Will be reading both links here shortly. Amazing points that make me see a different perspective.

I think that's fantastic advice, and it's exactly what I am going to do. Waiting until I have a clear head is the best solution. Thanks again for taking the time to respond.

I really appreciate the advice. I think you are unfortunately (or fortunately) correct. I think the route I am going to take is continuing to improve myself, my fitness, job, social life, and do my best to get out there & have sex with other women. I'm 22, and I've only had sex with 1 female, so this is probably a significant contributing factor.

I really appreciate that personal anecdote. Without specifically making any move is there any legitimacy in going full-dread... barely talking to her, short answers, and seeing how she responds? We text multiple times a day, so this would have a very clear impact immediately. I won't center my life around attempting to cause a reaction from her, but I'll alter the way I interact with her instead of completely cutting contact... Best case scenario is if she shows any interest perhaps I can attemp…

My apologies. And I actually lurk every day. Probably just the male hamster kicking in right now. Need to cut this emotional tie now before it becomes even more consuming. Problem with female friends is they tend to get into this grey area of TRP... and I believe female friends can be legitimately healthy if they positively influence your life and share similar goals, but it's few and far between, and in this case the oneitis is making it unhealthy. Thank you.

Hah great video. Is it possible to just dread hard with her, and put her on the back burner, but not complete contact removal? There's no chance of being friends while feeling this way I am assuming. I'm semi-hamstering right now, but legitimately curious.

I appreciate the advice. Was hoping for a middle ground because we do genuinely enjoy each others company, but it seems like this may be the only way at this point.

Careful with logic like this... the husband is a grown man that needs to take responsibility for his own beta actions - not throw the blame on his AWALT wife. Women play this type of "blame game" all the time; we're better than that.

Annnnnd this is why you don't get married. Imagine if this guy was single, enjoying the full fruits of his labor with NO crazy human living with him? This is a nightmare.
