Yep, and I heard "don't park beside vans" the other day.

I simply wanted to know other ladies' viewpoints/experiences/advice. To me, it's interesting when I read other people's experiences and consider new perspectives. That's why I wanted to share my own dating experience with someone that checks a lot of boxes on the surface because I saw people on FDS saying it would be useful to see that. Anyway, I appreciate your feedback as I do all others, and I will consider it.

We went on a few dates a few years ago, but I wasn't ready for a relationship (the 8 dates include those). We recently re-connected. It's been one date a week since then, and I'm definitely dialling it back as I turned him down for this weekend earlier this week. Yes, I've posted before that he seems too focused on my looks. The "beautiful lady" stuff is more pronounced this time. He alternates between "beautiful/pretty lady", my name, or Ms. (first letter of my name). Aside from this, he's been…

I'm not forcing anyone to reply if they don't want to. I was under the impression that this was a safe place to get advice from different ladies in FDS. For the record, the feedback was mixed (as is my own reaction to this person because I'm still figuring out how I feel), and I didn't know I'm not supposed to post about the same person. I'm planning on vetting men for a long time so posting here is part of that. Also, I've seen people saying they WANT to see field reports.

CONTEXT - he asked me out and is planning a date with a daytime activity and dinner afterwards. Is this a red flag? I'm thinking of replying with "I don't hold hands with anyone I'm not in a committed relationship with. I'll let you know when/if I'm ready, as the lady should be the one who sets the pace for anything physical." Any suggestions or thoughts are appreciated!

Agreed! Women offer to pay if they think the man can't, or she doesn't consider him a romantic prospect. If I ever offer to pay for myself it's either because I see him as just a friend/little brother (certainly not a masculine provider that turns me on) or I'll never ever date him again.

I believe that men should heal their damn self and/or get a therapist to help and have their life in order BEFORE a relationship. If a man isn't bringing value into my life, he can move along.

She looks great! Wtf is this loser on? Why is it that the uglier the guy, the more obsessed they seem to be with our looks??

Actions speak louder than words, I don't need a man to tell me nice things. If he wants to impress me, I'd rather he do things for me and better my life in a tangible way. EDIT - that guy showed his true colours really fast!

These aren't all phrases but specific trends I've noticed - Telling you sob stories right off the bat to gain sympathy. Complaining about xyz repeatedly and not doing anything about it. Drama with their family and friends. They're always the victim in their stories Crude or rude sense of humour followed by any form of "it's just a joke", or "you're over-reacting".

What he said was a turn-off and makes me think it would be a constant money struggle dating this guy and pinching pennies. What is the "misunderstanding"? Sounds pretty clear to me. I don't think men that broke or on a tight budget should date. It'll be stressful for them to count every dollar. They should adjust their budget accordingly, and no one said he needs to drive a Tesla.

I signed up for Bumble before I knew about FDS. It's the only OLD profile I have. Like you, I will only respond to people who swiped me first if I'm interested. In my experience, the men I've talked to on there are passive, like they're waiting for me to take the lead.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/09/20 12:32 AM

Haha, lame! Didn't even open with a "may I buy your coffee". From his perspective, it would have been amazing if you paid for your own over-priced coffee, took a seat with him/or went for a walk, gave him your number, and blew him before driving yourself home. Zero effort and he got himself a pick me!

He's clearly moved on, so should you. Torturing yourself isn't going to help you. Whenever I reminisce about anyone in my past, I focus on bettering myself instead. I've always been goal-oriented when it came to my education, income, and assets. At the end of the day, these are things NO ONE can take from me so whatever crap men do, I know I'll be ok! There's something so powerful in knowing that. Make your life full (work out, join clubs, go on dates if you're ready, get a makeover, get a side …

Omg, this is shocking and solidifies the reason why "drinks dates" are BS. He probably thought she was desperate when she paid for the drink. When we don't call men out on their shitty and cheap behaviour because we "feel bad" or whatever, they think it's an invitation to keep using us and see it as weakness ladies. This is a lesson to nip any crap in the bud with men ASAP.

He makes it sound like our standards are... a bed frame?? It looks like a double. I'd rather sleep in my queen bed with the high-end Swedish mattress and bedding from Switzerland.

Nah, I personally don't like making the first move. A friend of mine suggested that I use Bumble because women make the first move. It sounded great in theory, but then I when I actually tried it, it seemed like men think it's a pass to make LESS effort. I'm considering deleting it very soon, and it's the only OLD profile I have.

I have a male friend in his mid 40s and he has only had 1 relationship that was 3 months. He is emotionally under-developed (self-admitted) and doesn't have any close relationships with friends and family. I personally believe that men gain so much from an intimate relationship with a woman way beyond sex. We nurture, support, boost them up, listen to them, care about them, give them confidence, social status, etc. It's very valuable to their development as a whole and women shouldn't forget tha…

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy08/09/20 04:17 AM

Exactly. I know men who aren't tall or handsome by conventional standards, but they attracted decent to great women. Why? Because those men are successful, fun, smart, sociable, financially well-off, responsible, have real things to offer, etc. I can think of 3 off the top of my head who have great careers, houses, passive incomes, great people skills, etc. In other words, incels shouldn't blame women; they should work harder on themselves. That's what all successful people need to do in life.

OMFG, this is appalling. I agree that men who are so broke and/or cheap should not date!! It's ridiculous. Do men not know that dating already costs us money upfront, and we take a lot more risk than them? It's not 50/50! We buy new clothes, dress up, put on makeup, lotions, perfume, mani/pedis, lingerie, shoes, etc. Should we demand they pay for half of that? It's dating and I accept the above costs because I want to look attractive to a potential mate. What do these types of 50/50 men do to at…

Exactly! A guy friend actually told me that some guys compare the cost of a "date" with the price of a prostitute. They should just go do that then but of course, they don't want to risk the STDs. Also, their fragile egos can't take the fact that the working girl is only with them for the money.

I'm quite new on here and idk how to add a message to the image :( We've been on 2 dates and he's always talking about how I look to the point that it feels over the top (both in texts like this and in person). Is this some kind of LVM tactic or red flag?

Marilyn is absolutely correct!!! I cringe when I see media/movies/shows that brainwashes women into thinking we're "gold diggers" for caring about money. There are so many movies where the guy "picks" the girl because she "wasn't after his money". All those girls are usually young, cute, hot, and don't know they are/cute hot (insecure). Don't fall for it ladies! A person's success is part of what makes them attractive. There is nothing wrong with being concerned about money imo. It's arguably on…

Absolutely! I've seen women who have dated down thinking that this would get them the committed partnership they wanted, and they got screwed over in the end anyway :( I'm new to FDS and "red pill" (I'm actually not even really sure what that is), but it sounds like those guys want to blame women instead of improving themselves. Life is hard, and it takes sacrifice and work for all of us. If something isn't working for me, I do everything I can to fix it. Those guys should too. I come from a tra…

Yes!!! I wish I could upvote this many times. I've met a LVM man like this before, and it's a huge turnoff. He would complain about drama at work, with friends, with family, with the person at the grocery store taking too long to select something, his sob stories from years ago, and he was ALWAYS the victim. I totally fell for it for a long time because I wasn't used to this type of man and felt "bad" for him. Men take advantage of our kind-heartedness. Never again! I started to smarten up when …

A HVM will add to your life. Actions speak louder than words ladies! A HVM will make your life better/less stressful/easier/more interesting and fun. I've been in 2 relationships and one was with a HVM that treated me very well - paid for pretty much everything which enabled me to go back to school and travel, try different jobs to find my interests, explore the kinds of music/movies/events I wanted to by accompanying me, cooked, cleaned, and supported me with real ACTIONS. Yes, there's someone trying to date me right now who keeps saying "you're gorgeous', "beautiful lady", etc. Once or twice is fine, but it's over the top. He focuses on my looks way too much. In turn, it makes me focus on my looks over intellectual qualities. It's like society's way of brainwashing women to think that our looks are a priority and we're constantly being scrutinized over it :(
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/08/20 08:12 AM

Thanks for educating this loser. I'm a teacher too and totally understand why you would spend this much time and energy on this guy. One drop in the bucket at a time... My hope is that all women raise their standards for men.

Facepalm* Great comeback. Who talks like that guy, and what kind of woman goes for that?? I'm so baffled by modern OLD.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/08/20 04:38 AM

Omg, how desperate do these guys think women are?? If they had their way, we would pay to get ourselves drunk, fuck them afterwards, and get our own asses home. That's an even cheaper date than a working girl! I used to go out on drinks dates as a first meeting (thankfully never had a guy with the balls to ask to split). After finding FDS, I'm thinking about saying I'm a dinner dates kind of girl. If they ghost, so be it!

I'm in my mid-30s, and he's in his mid-40s. I've always been in long term relationships so dating is new to me. Thankfully, the texts were yesterday and we went on the date tonight. He brought a nice box of gourmet chocolates to give me beforehand, picked me up, took me to a fancy seafood restaurant, tons of compliments, and asked me for another date next Friday. There's still gentleman out there who know how to treat a lady. It's still too early to tell if he's a keeper, but at least the date was great and I didn't have to deal with any LVM BS!

Definitely! He asked for a second date when he dropped me off, and this is why he's going to get one.

Absolutely! Ladies, a guy wanting to have sex with us is NOTHING new. Most of us have had that attention since we were pre-teens (11-12) for me. What else is he offering? Is he trying to make your life better? If it's just sex he's offering then he better be Chris Hemsworth (insert dream guy) with a great d and mad skills in bed every time.

When a guy doesn't have a plan and tries to "see how it goes"/"go with the flow", it's a hard pass from me!

Why do women do this?? We are way too nice for our own good.

Just wow. The entitlement is insane.

Omg, if I heard this question, I'd be turned off immediately. No point.

Great message! Thank you! It's better to direct that energy into improving ourselves instead. For me, it's making myself go to gym during this pandemic (many days of not wanting to go), working, and planning for the future.

HAHAHA! This made me lol. I have a feeling I'm going to repeat this joke at some point :)

Gross! He must be super broke. I don't see any successful guy asking a question like this. Good thing he asked so you didn't have to waste time going out with him and having an awkward cheque moment.

Interesting insight for sure! I think this half happened to me? I'm still not sure. He love-bombed me early on (a proposal, meeting his family), but he had a bad alcohol problem which affected his mental health, and his mood eventually became unstable. He simply didn't have anything much to offer in the way of financial stability nor was he in a good place. However, the sex was fantastic, we saw each other every weekend, he hosted and paid for all food and drinks. I had fun for a while until the…

BS something else probably fell through. Good response! I feel tired of having to set standards each time with men. I really wish all women would up their own, so we wouldn't have to state the obvious to these guys.

This is what I'd like to have :) I'm in Vancouver, Canada, but open to travelling to warmer places!

I wonder if Timbaland or these types of men would tell their daughter (if they have one) to settle for those standards.

I've met men who just could not get their lives together and that negatively affected and caused the relationship to end. I know they "wanted to" and had "good intentions" but they couldn't get over themselves. For example, alcohol problems, gambling addiction, unhealthy eating, being lazy, etc. If a man doesn't have anything to show for himself, he probably has bad habits and/or isn't working hard enough. The lesson I've taken away is to be much more selective. I know the hard work and sacrific…

Definitely! I met a surgeon who checked all the boxes. However, he was a city boy who didn't like nature (things like hiking, camping, kayaking were out), didn't like/want dogs (hard pass!), and complained about his weight constantly but ate fast food every day for lunch (he sent me lunch pictures daily). It got really old very fast. We hung out as friends for about 6 months (never had sex with him) and it faded off mutually.

That's great! :) I'm new here and would love to know how FDS women breakdown finances between bf/gf or husband and wife. Personally, I think the man should contribute more financially (for various reasons). Would you mind sharing how you navigate this with your HVM? I'm going to make a post about this as well*

Definitely! I'm only on 1 online dating app and it seems like every single guy tries to get cheap and easy sex as a default. It really makes me wonder about women's standards nowadays!!

Are you travelling alone? Maybe doing it with a good female friend would help? I've been thinking about possibly working remotely starting next year. Like you, I'm single. I've been thinking about how awesome it would be to have a good female friend/group to do that with. Feel free to PM me, if you like :)

LOL, hell no. What is up with men like this? I've seen my fair share of guys who dump all their crap on you after you just met them. Thanks for the honesty? Are they looking for a nurse or mother? Unfortunately, many women have a helpful nature and think they can "change" or "fix" the man. It almost never works and I think they take advantage of that kindness. Stop it ladies!!

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
