The whole women get paid x amount less for the same job as a man is the common interpretation for the wage gap, and is a negative interpretation that is false. We agree on that. 2	Another Perspective on the Wage Gap I do think people should be paid more for riskier and harder work. It's just that it is not exclusive to men. Men don't have a burden of riskier and harder work, that statistic of increased work injuries is due to men working those industries more so than women due to physical ability. Things such as working injuries and deaths has to account for the fact that men work in labor heavy jobs more than women due to obvious reasons. No reason men should be paid more for that. The people working these labor heavy and dangerous jobs should be paid more period, man or woman, so long as they do the work. There are dozens of laws against wage discrimination and the only "proof" of the wage gap is statistical from studies that don't account for all factors. 2	I feel like this sub is getting off track... Seems a little harsh, bud. I do downvote the posts, and unsubscribing from the sub wouldn't be the best solution as then I wouldn't be able to see the actual quality posts. I thought it would be beneficial to bring this issue to attention so the mods can see. I chose to make a post rather than message the mods because they can now see how much the community agrees or (in your case) disagrees on how big of an issue it is.
