2	Starting point If you want to stop masturbating, prayer (Specifically Lectio Divina or other forms of mental prayer) on a daily basis and throwing away the thing by which you commit the sin are basically essential. I would also recommend fasting (The Didache, a very early Christian Catechism, has some information on timing which may be helpful). The sexual urge and the urge to eat are linked to the same appetite. If you discipline the appetite, then you will have an easier time. 1	Spinning Plates reference I remember at University I attempted something like a Christian version of this. The idea was that by doing this I would find one woman worth actually being with. This did not work. What I ended up getting were 2 women who were actually attempting to cheat on their long distance boyfriends, some other strange stuff with other women which I blew off, and a whole lot of drama.
