SpiralingStay focused on moving forward. Day by day. No overthinking. It gets better with time but you have to keep your mind busy in healthy stuff. Workout. Work extra hours and fix your credit. Etc | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/01/25 04:27 PM
Who else is enjoying holidays without family drama? Not a bad Christmas but still feeling an undertone of sadness. On the bright side, didn’t have to cook and had a chance to work in the yard. Fuck 2024. I’m so over it. | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/12/24 05:05 AM
So how many of you believe your ex wife is/was having a midlife crisis? It might have played a role on top of the rest of the bad stuff that was happening between us. In the end doesn’t matter as she is too proud to backtrack even if she wanted to. Oh well. | /r/Divorce_Men | 16/12/24 06:38 AM
When did you stop wearing your wedding ring? And to think that I almost tattooed mine (due to work logistics and convenience). Good thing I waited… phew | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/12/24 03:13 AM
When did you stop wearing your wedding ring? When I saw the love in her eyes fizzle out completely. About a 10d after D day. | /r/Divorce_Men | 15/12/24 03:12 AM
How many of you are still friends w your ex wife?Emailed your local shelter yet? Called that acquaintance who always offers you to adopt a cat they got from the street? | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/12/24 03:10 PM
How many of you are still friends w your ex wife? She sends her best from up high in her perches | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/12/24 02:21 AM
How many of you are still friends w your ex wife?Aaaaaaaaaand no. Why would I wanna interact with the person who first stole my heart and then proceeded to shred it into a million pieces? She gave up on us despite me working on fulfilling her demands. She’s now free to go have all the drugs she wants and control somebody else’s life. Imma just chill with my cat and mind my own business, thank you very much. | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/12/24 12:01 AM
Wedding dressNikon or Canon? Either way, great therapy. Useless for useful. | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/10/24 08:12 PM

"Rebound?"Wise words! I was her rebound I’ve come to realize! 🤦🏻♂️ | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/10/24 04:32 PM
I feel bad for some of you on here. I am Enjoying my divorce!Right?! The ability to go to work unencumbered and get extra hours paid is such an underrated benefit of all of this! Tackling debt like a champ, especially after the financial hit this whole ordeal put us through… | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/10/24 06:29 PM
Ex wife keeps bringing new boyfriend to my houseOr... if you want some sliver of chaotic revenge, ask a pretty friend she doesn't know, or hire an escort for half an hour to come pick up the kids with you a few times. Sorry, I love some chaos some time. Stand tall and don't let the crazy lady get to you! | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/09/24 01:56 PM
Ex buying me self-help booksHahah can’t believe this is a thing/trend. Mine got some, and while she was reading the first two, even offered to lend them to me after she’s done with them. Ma’am… I know what my problems are: focus on yours. You could make a fixture out of them, or maybe encase them in resin and make a lamp. Empty them out and create secret storage. | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/09/24 11:27 PM
Married men should never buy a house; always rent from your parentsWelcome! What a drag to have you here but well… happy to have you hahahah | /r/Divorce_Men | 19/09/24 12:45 AM
How do I spend more?Get into woodworking. Get some tools; those she will never want. Get some pieces of wood, slabs, etc. Those can be quite expensive. Buy lifetime subscriptions to things you already like (Nebula, for example). Upgrade your gaming chair, get new decor, or a desk. Tune or Upgrade your personal car. Support someone on patreon. Give cash to family members. Donate to the volunteer firefighters department where you live. | /r/Divorce_Men | 17/09/24 03:22 PM
Dating is a nightmareThis. "Work on yourself" should be the mantra of this and the regular r/Divorce group. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/09/24 12:38 PM
Fuck you. I'm still standing.Chin up king, or your crown will fall! Good job and keep it up. Your teens know who’s right who’s less right. My stepfather found my mother when he was 50-52. They’re still together over twenty years later. You deserve and will find a good partner. Also: tell her to fuck off if she wants to keep one of your pets. | /r/Divorce_Men | 12/09/24 09:35 PM
Saw my ex-wife on a dating app.Redheads 🤷🏻♂️ | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/09/24 10:39 PM
Saw my ex-wife on a dating app.Definitely try for someone else. If you repeat yourself with the same lady you’ll return to your starting point 😂 | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/09/24 10:26 PM
Saw my ex-wife on a dating app.Tough love but enabling a fellow divorcee. I approve of this message. The council of the Divorced probably approves too. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/09/24 09:18 PM
Saw my ex-wife on a dating app.Piggybacking onto this comment; avoid your usual patterns. If your ex wife was a redhead, try to go brunette or blonde. Was she tall? Go short. You catch my drift. Don’t allow your brain to fall in the well-transited, familiar rut of nostalgia. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/09/24 09:17 PM
Divorcing a literal crazy woman. Any advice??It’s funny how they will say anything to get a reaction… When I told mine she couldn’t keep my cat, she went ballistic. Some of that shit she took back, but what’s been heard can’t be unheard :/ Stay strong, dig your heels, and limit contact to the barest minimum necessary. | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/09/24 01:52 PM
Divorcing a literal crazy woman. Any advice??This guy divorces. 👌🏻 | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/09/24 01:48 PM
Divorcing a literal crazy woman. Any advice??I think your balls might be too massive and have you to that terminal velocity. Godspeed | /r/Divorce_Men | 01/09/24 01:47 PM
Dating app for the divorcedFunny this was posted, a few minutes ago I started getting adds for dating apps. | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/08/24 04:36 AM
Why I don't trust women anymoreOh man, you too?? What a coincidence! | /r/Divorce_Men | 25/08/24 05:52 PM
“It’s better to die on your white horse than to fall “Without anyone laughing, can anyone explain what the AP stands for? Adultery Partner? Alternate Person? Additional penetrator? | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/08/24 03:23 AM
“It’s better to die on your white horse than to fall “I experienced something similar. Once she made the call to end it, a whole different person emerged. Somebody I wished had come out earlier in the marriage to put me in my place before everything exploded. Weaponizing sensitive information is something I wish she hadn’t done… but, alas, here we are. We live and we learn, and learning what information can be disclosed throughout the relationship is part of it I guess. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/08/24 03:22 AM
Rant, cry for helpHang in there. It will get better once stuff cool down. Don’t let her get under your skin; she will try to get the worst out of you. Do not give in, deny her the reaction she’s looking for. Don’t give up | /r/Divorce_Men | 08/08/24 11:48 AM
Are you doing better than your ex?Saying no to a loved one is so difficult. Nobody ever addresses that part. I would agree to go places I knew I would not like just to make my SO happy. Then I realized I was saying yes just to fulfill my husbandly duty despite knowing it was at my energy’s expense (introvert here… work with clients and my social battery is constantly being drained… by the weekend I just want to snug and recharge with a loved one). Being an adult is hard | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/08/24 08:48 PM
Guys who initiated the divorce and did NOT get cheated on, what’s your story?Holy shit, that sounds like a scumbag human. Hope you’re alright! | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/08/24 12:26 AM
Guys who initiated the divorce and did NOT get cheated on, what’s your story? That was a rollercoaster to read. Hope you’re doing alright. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/08/24 12:25 AM
| – | The daily experience of dealing with a divorce is a lot like sneaking a peek after a particularly nasty shit. This is a poetically corrupt and horrifyingly accurate description of this process. Especially if you're the one who was served. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/07/24 09:58 PM |
What red flags did you see at the very beginning? It's fun being called a narcissist when the only thing you want is to see them enjoy their hobbies, progress in their careers, and just fucking support the hell out of them. Love hurts, and we can all improve on things. That's my take on it. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/07/24 02:42 PM
What did you learn the hard way from your marriage and divorce experience? And the principle applies to the period after the break-up or divorce. Beware of those thoughts, as they can drag you back into tricky situations or worse. | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/07/24 01:28 PM
What did you learn the hard way from your marriage and divorce experience?I can relate to the simping part. It is really hard not to do that when you love someone with every strand of DNA in your body. Love really hurts, either during (for one) or after (for the other). Nobody really prepares you for what could happen or how to properly address the issues as they’re brought up. Change is slow and sometimes both individuals have different timeframes in which they expect such a change to take place. | /r/Divorce_Men | 26/07/24 01:22 PM
GrievingLow dose of alprazolam (available in the us) or half a pill of Clotiazepam (not in the US). | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/07/24 12:16 PM
GrievingI have also been similar in resistance to emotional damage while being able to withstand physical. Going through a divorce (an easy one compared to all of those I’ve read about in these subreddits) has broken me down into my smallest possible pieces. Never cried so much before, and it is kind of freeing. It does suck 120%, but letting it run its course dulls the pain. Anxiety pills also work wonders. | /r/Divorce_Men | 24/07/24 03:42 AM
How old were you when you get divorced?Just turned 33. She turned 30 a few months ago. Married for 2.5 years. Silver lining is we never got to have children, so it simplifies a lot. The big problem is: she is the mother of my children (future), and now she's gone. FML | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/07/24 11:27 PM
