No, you misinterpreting me. She has every right to get called out and whatever comes with that. They're a crappy people all over and they are highlighting the crappy people at Harvard, in order to push an agenda that Harvard and Higher Learning in general is bad

I have a secret for everyone, there are buttheads everywhere. From the lowest rungs of the working class to the top earners. From fast food restaurant employees to Harvard College professors. But now there is a focus on trying to bring down Harvard so anytime anyone associated with that place does something wrong there's going to be a spotlight on it. This is propaganda manifest. Right wing media is trying to manipulate you because the president got his feelings hurt that his son was rejected fr…

I voted against him, I donated to causes, I protested, I talked to friends and family. I don't know what you're talking about. His dissenters do not deserve to reap his atrocity. Even some of his supporters that were fooled don't. It's like saying because the Japanese military joined the axis in World War II that the Japanese civilians deserved the nuclear bombs. OR Because the US Military intervened in the Middle East the people in the World Trade Centers deserved to die. OR Because Hamas is fi…

Yeah, I understand. This is a really tough gray area for all involved because this is unprecedented. The crux of the matter is if the judge had evidence that the arresting officers were going to violate due process, then does she have the authority to prevent them from effecting an arrest. My own personal opinions aside, this is a clusterfuck which can have incredible implications going forward.

You are incorrect, while a judge can allow a arrest to be affected during a court proceeding. They do not supersede the judges Authority during such proceeding. If they try to affect arrest during a court procedure against the judges wishes they can be held in contempt. Once the proceeding is included, the judge no longer has authority over the person. It is a bit of gray area whether they're her Authority extends to the courtroom itself when there is no proceeding

You do realize he lost the popular vote. The system is broken, not all the people

It is actually somewhat ambiguous whether she broke the law or not. Not to mention all people are considered innocent until proven guilty, so your statement should be amended with an allegedly at least.

I don't believe in deleting comments because even mistakes are part of the conversational process. Then they asked what country I THOUGHT it was from, I explained what country I THOUGHT and why. It was an explanation of thought process. There was no doubling down, you small muppet. But if you really want me to... While it is not shit legal advice, it is shit practical advice. While technically you're legally allowed to walk away from a cop if they say that you're not detained, doing so when they…

Things aren't black and white. There is nuance to reality. Yes, sometimes bad actors take advantage of situations but that doesn't discredit all of those telling the truth.

I'll speak to this. I worked on Sand Hill Road for 8 years. We were an intermediary for VC firms. We work with startups, small, mid, and large cap companies. What you are saying is correct about approval times and quickly jumping on product projects. But, if we were to discover that a company's future would hinge on a single day's work or delay that would be a red flag and funding would be pulled. Also in any product launch there is a PM who is made aware of approvals and will set a schedule pri…

Believe it or not there's precedent to where she could actually sue this guy and get child support from him because he's supported them for so long

The fucked up part is that he still might have to pay child support since he's been taking care of the kid already

See, now that is projection, because you wished ill will on me initially and now you're saying I'm not looking to argue in good faith. That is projection, textbook definition. It's also difficult to argue with someone who doesn't have a complete grasp on semantics

So now we've established that you don't know the definitions of analogy, correlation, and projection.

Correlation doesn't imply causation. That's a common fallacy. Don't call prey to that. Second if you re-read my comment I said that if the economic disparity isn't vast than races should not be a consideration. Poor white people exist, I'm one of them. Lastly, you can argue till you're blue in the face but the Supreme Court and most fortune 500 companies decided in favor of affirmative action because obviously there is a societal need for it.

It's not conflation when the two factors are overwhelmingly correlated

Aside from arguing with the definition of analogy is... Equal opportunity does have its place and sometimes should be looked at to reinforce a specific group. If one group has been historically disadvantaged then that causes inherent problems within the infrastructure of that group's economy, a cascading effect. Purposefully lifting up those in that group you can tourniquet the wounds of oppression. To put it bluntly, a black kid with a relatively good GPA in an extremely economically disadvanta…
