Regardless of your view on someone, it doesnt mean its suddenly okay to be transphobic. Intentionally misgendering someone just because you dislike them is like calling a black person the n word bc you dislike them (and then saying its fine because you're asian). You'd just be racist, its no different just bc its an individual you dislike.

Yea I was in a hurry at the time and didn't quite have my thoughts straight. I see it as Conan seeming to make the point that a state Rep referring to women as vaginas isn't flawed since men are referred to as dicks. Fair enough, though considering this sub exists and this post has made it to /r/all (on mobile rn, cant check number of subscribers) there's definitely a group to appeal to. I would assume on an individual level though, most people would find both just as bad?

Regardless of origin or alternate meaning, it's a joke to pretend most people have kittens in mind when they call someone a pussy..

That's a false equivalency and really doesn't make sense. Women get called "cunts," men often get called "pussies" to imply they're weak...plus it's a state Rep. so obviously he's gonna get shit for referring to women as "vaginas". A female rep would get shit for referring to men as "penises."

Seriously, I can't believe this is a post so upvoted, it's on /r/all. "Woman destroys the feminist myths on rape" is such clickbait and a ridiculous conclusion to make from one story. From the title I expected a convincing article or paper with various statistics and reputable sources.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
