Thanks drinkthebleach, I have a keener understanding of why question prompt may come off as unappealing.
/r/MensRights01/03/12 09:14 PM

I didn't come here for a point. By doing that I'm seeking a confirmation, which is inherently biased. I'm navigating through the experiences of others to get a general understanding. I'm learning through these individuals who have more experience than I do. As I mentioned before, I do not believe that there is a prevalent mood regarding r/mensrights impression/treatment over their women who are their ex-wives, baby mama, etc. Instead of operating from either side, I decided to ask the fathers ou…

carchamp1 Nothing. If she got hit by a bus tomorrow I would be happy. You really don't know anything about marriage, do you? You want me to be the happy slave singing spirituals I guess. Fuck that. Kida89 No, I have never been married. I don't presume to know anything beyond my experience. If you don't mind me asking what led you to feel this way? Be as honest as you can be. I want to make it clear that I view your discontent as legitimate and would gain from an understanding of your marriage. Y…

AntiFeministMedia, the question was what he appreciated about her. He specified that his answer was that, He Doesn't. We moved on, you didn't apparently...because I guess your agenda needed a host to drain from. I don't know why you seem to want to plant an alarmist streak in what I find to be a very frank and open conversation amongst gentlemen.

Hahahahaha, no worries. Even if you were, doesn't make it any less funny. :) People get too defensive around Reddit and I think we should have a coke, a smile, and the chill the fuck out

I do not believe in this prevalent opinion that r/mensrights are hostile or negative towards their wives or ex-wives. Regarding any implication...it is merely an extrapolated impression you get from my intentions. I don't know why you seem to think that I'm encouraging such discussion as means to achieve some sort of condescension. However, what I'm encouraging is to allow redditors to talk about their relationships in a way that hasn't been asked enough. How many posts on r/mensrights ask them …

Again, I understand that there is broken relations with your (current or ex) wife however what do you appreciate about her regardless of this strain?

I understand the source of your frustration. However, I asked that despite this...what do you appreciate about her? I understand if you cannot then if so, may you please specify why not and how you were forced into fatherhood at 19? ಠ_ಠ That is just wrong.

Hehe, elaborate please? I find a couple's concern over the media to be too intriguing to let up.

What do you and your wife together find that the media does to harm society?
/r/MensRights01/03/12 06:55 PM

Yes I am. Hence the disjunctive or. :)

if you look at the episode, there were young women in the Illinois Voices meeting with Justin. This implies that they too faced similar circumstances. I'm extrapolating of course, but I feel this is safe to presume...similar circumstances.

It makes me so pissed that Justin was stigmatized for the bitterness of his ex.

I don't think r/Mensrights knows that the Onion is satire.

Actually, I would posit that this image offers a perspective about the harm these magazines do to young women. I also posted this at r/feminism to view a diversity of opinion. I find no complaint on their end regarding misogyny. I will be a bit ambitious, and presume that they agree with my reading on this.

I believe that they themselves are projecting an unfair standard unto you. I understand where they are coming from, but despite feeling empathetic for them, you are in the right. Her friends are going to defend her friends because friends have this bond that is often fearful of overstepping a boundary that could compromise that friendship. Second, it is wishful thinking but as of late I find it to be pretty common thinking amongst young men and women in a long-term committed relationship to expe…
