1600 on 1600 is nuts. That is his whole check. No judge will approve that unless he has other income he is hiding. The calculator will sort it out.

True. Wants and gets are very different. She can ask for the moon. Does not mean a judge will give it to her.

This is the right answer. State calculator is the starting point.

What state is this? 1600 a month on 1600 every two weeks is not possible in most states. That would leave him with nothing. Child support calculators cap at a percentage of income. She can ask for anything. That does not mean she will get it. He needs a lawyer or a free legal clinic. Without one, he will get steamrolled.

The point about documentation is the absolute key here when dealing with alienation. I kept detailed logs of every single canceled weekend and weird text message from my ex, which made a huge difference in court. My legal team at Mahoney Richmond Thurston had me organize everything chronologically on a shared drive so we could present a clear timeline to the judge. Keep emotion out of your records and stick strictly to times, dates, and verifiable facts.

Congratulations on finally getting across the finish line. Two and a half years is a brutal marathon, but walking away with the house and manageable terms is a massive win. Enjoy the quiet and the lack of legal bills, you earned this clean slate.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
