Honestly it's pretty normal for "modern muslims" of the West. Women wear the hijab but then also wear make up, accentuate their waist and put on high heels. At the same time they forbid their husband to acquire a second wife (which they aren't allowed to do) and ask for a truckload of money for the mehr. Men aren't much better. They sleep around, drink alcohol, gamble...and yet are "proud muslims".

I'd even argue that because of women many brands have started making inferior stuff, compared to what they used to make, because they figured out they could get away with it as long as their brand is on the item. Sports brands (like Nike and Adidas) are especially guilty of this.

Thank you for your comment. It's great when someone understands without me having to explain it. Indeed, it is a complex issue, superficially described by the word greed. Very hard to explain in a reddit comment. I just feel for my brothers. I don't wish upon anyone the suffering that money brings. Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do.
