And that's why the cycle of violence and injustice is perpetuated. Because of those who see things that are wrong but never speak about them. Because of "good men". Almost all the women I know have been witnesses to dangerous situations where the men in their life were silent.

I agree. I never liked it when it first aired and I watched 3 or 4 seasons this year to see what made it so popular. There are so many issues with the characters and stories that annoyed me like introducing the mytological friendzone or Ross and Rachel's break. Ross and Rachel's break sparked so much drama and debate that I searched for the definition of a break and why it's different than a break up. When people were asked online if they thought is acceptable or unacceptable to have sex with so…

Shame on them!! Why is it so hard for them to recognise non substances addictions as addictions? Behavioral addictions are just as dangerous and destroy your life and the life of those who care about you. But maybe they don't want to see it as what it is because others feel and see the effects more clearly, while they think they are fine.

It pains me to remember and admit but I did this. I am so ashamed I still CRINGE. I didn't get on my knees but I asked my ex to marry me because I believed in equal mumbo jumbo. I wanted to be different than my pickme mother. He accepted and even bragged about it but over the time I realised that it was not my role to lead although he happily let me. He never took the lead in anything leaving me with the emotional burden of doing everything. I was always walking on egshells and started acting a …

Same! My time is more precious and I am better alone than with someone that doesn't appreciate it. Time is a valuable commodity, and free time is a privilege. Women do not have the same amount of free time in a day as men do.

I find it very RUDE when the only person you know doesn't make any effort to ease you in a group regardless of your social skills, or relationship. Buuuut this is her boyfriend! If the situation were reversed he would have felt the same or mad actually. I've been left alone more than once with people I didn't know because my ex wanted to play billiard or drink with a friend. He didn't make introductions, they were making inside jokes , and I was in his hometown so I couldn't leave. When I initia…

Because men are very territorial and no matter the nature of the relationship they don't want anyone else around. If he becomes jealous in a fwb situation it's not about feelings or love (just like all those quizzes and articles proclaim online), he simply doesn't want to lose his booty call. If he really cared about you he would have done the right thing, sorry hon. My sis has been in quite a few situations like this and it broke my heart because it took her a long time to realise she was break…

The act of giving is an ART. It has been used since human existed in every period of time.We often give gifts to re-confirm or establish our connection with others, which means that they’re a reflection of both the giver and the receiver, as well as their unique relationship. Good post! Giving a gift to someone we care about allows us to communicate our feelings and appreciation (!) for them. In fact, some sociologists think that we only give gifts to people we want relationships with. In his bo…

At the beginning of any kind of relationship people tend to be cautious, especially about therapy, fears, anxiety etc. Disclosing personal matters can be uncomfortable and if someone tells you something personal you might find the need to reciprocate (there is even a term for this: NormOfReciprocity. You might feel pressured to share something similar therefore creating a "bond". Lonely people tend to share less and men are conditioned to not show emotions so they don't share out of fear. I foun…

In my country priests are reason number one why battered women in areas where religion is upheld strong to continue to stay with their husbands proclaiming that love is all they need to keep their rotten souls on the right path. The blame is put on them. Those women come to them for help and all they get is that they should love them better.A hundred years ago they even encouraged beating your wife to keep her in line.

How twisted in the mind you have to think this is normal?? You can't say that a man chasing a very young woman is "young at heart", more like immature. You can still do fun activities with people your own age. Grandchildren shouldn't compete for the attention of their grandparent with his newborn. When a couple decides to have children it matters very much the age gaps/spacing . It's very important to take into consideration the age spacing between siblings because they manifest emotionally, int…

I never had any casual hookups. Partially because I am not conventionaly attractive and I felt that you need a certain level of trust and you have to know the person to have a good time, and how can you have a good time when you're fumbling in the unknown. My sis had fwbs, casual hookups and they destroyed her (not that I had good relationships ...) Those hookups really messed with her self esteem because although she is pretty she felt unseen. Even now she still says that "they really don't see…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
