I'm inclined to agree. As a female MRA, this sub can sometimes be a little hostile, but I think there are just a lot of frustrations men here need to vent. I hope they people choose a more positive, egalitarian approach. :)

I think it the study is really pointing out how incorrect this view society has about men and children is. Men are often see as hostile and harmful to children. Playing with a child by yourself (as a male) or even looking at children will earn you the stink-eye or worse. This study just shows that men aren't as harmful as we assume and we should cast a blanket assumption over a whole sex.

As a lady, I've always felt really uncomfortable with people paying for me. I can't say for sure, so it's just speculation, but social theory has come a long way since the 50s and 70s. EDIT: In my OP, I used 'likely' because I wasn't sure one way or the other. I think it's about half and half in this subreddit. One part irrational anger and one part helping men. I am passionate about making sure men are helped with their problems, but some of the stuff on here makes me roll my eyes. I'm still subscribed because I think this subreddit does do good sometimes (especially in the cases of men having proper custody over children and making sure that male rape is recognized).

I was in JROTC for all four years of high school, the women had just as many restrictions (if not more) than the men. I remember buying gel, bobby pins, anything and everything to keep my hair off my collar and also out of my face. Never dreamed of actually being in the military, though, haha.
