fraternities are infamous for sexual assault. Maybe you shouldn’t have joined in the first place. You shouldn’t have gotten so drunk either it’s your fault Note: This comment was originally intended to respond to somebody that was victim blaming and shifting the blame on OP. If mods or OP don't want it up, feel free to delete it/I will. Victim blaming and shifting the blame eh? Classic. It's his fault for trying to enjoy his college life, but some vindictive girl decides to lash out on him becau…

do you think you would naturally use the word hysterics to describe a man engaging in similar behaviour? Yes. I would also call out other men on bullshit that they do. It goes both ways because I will speak my mind instead of keeping things on the down low. Fair enough if so, but you must realise the association that that word has with being reductive about women. The first I've heard of this to be honest, but that is not my intention. It was to illustrate that whenever I have an argument with a…

The generalized statement I made does not mean that men cannot be emotional or that women can be logical or smart. It's more so that any argument I make with any women in my life-- whether that be a family member, coworker, or friend, it is met with hysterics and I am quickly dismissed as a misogynist. As much as I'd love to inform and dismiss disinformation, I cannot even have that without fear of being shunned and labeled as a misogynist. Logic is so, so, so, so, so, so, so rarely relevant in …

That's not to say that men can't be emotional and that women can't be logical or smart-- that's a hasty generalization. It's more so frustration that you cannot have a civil conversation without hastily being labeled as a misogynist or somebody to avoid.

I think this old "women think with emotions & men with logic" trope needs to die, it's really not true and actually sexist towards both genders imo to imply that men can't (or shouldn't?) include empathy and such in their thinking and that women somehow can't think with logic. Obviously it's a generalization and that not l men and women are the same. Nowhere did I state that men can't be emotional or that women can't be logical or smarter than men. Nor do I parade this as logic. No, I think the …

Of course not all men and women are the same. Men can be the caregivers and be more emotional and women can be smarter than men.
/r/MensRights19/04/21 05:02 PM

Women are naturally more emotional because they are usually the caretakers and nurtures of children. Men were usually the ones hunting and fending off other tribes from attacks. That's not to say that men cannot care for children or that women cannot be smart. Nowhere did I say that.

I only say r/trueoffmychest is better only because they give a platform with those that want to voice their opinion and of course getting something off their mind. For them to call this subreddit a hate subreddit only begs the question- why? The only answer that I could conclude is to further an agenda that the mods of that subreddit want to perpetuate. The best that we can do as individuals is keep ourselves informed-- and in your case, take care of your boys and try to support them where you c…

Probably from the subreddit r/offmychest which is actually doing you a favor. They ban anybody that posts on "red pill/incel" subreddits-- including this one. Total disregard for half the human race and any voice for them. r/Trueoffmychest is a much better subreddit anyways.

Largely because women argue with emotion as opposed to logic. When you try to rationally argue with somebody that identifies as a feminist-- they tend to either change the subjects, shift the blame, appeal to others with emotions, or straight up hate you and label you as a misogynist. It's largely an uphill battle that realistically you can only do so much within your power.

Being traditionally masculine isn’t toxic I agree, but there are some ideals that are inherently toxic. One of them being that men should never show emotion and to bottle up their feelings. It's seen as being a burden and unmasculine. Dealing with your emotions are part of managing your mental and emotional wellbeing. Similar to a bottle, if you fill it up too much, eventually it will overflow; you have to let it out occasionally if you want to fill up your bottle (your body). Take the time out …

You think affirmative action and women representing 50 percent of the work force is why men can't find jobs? Technically, women represent more than 50 percent of the workforce solely based off population. It isn't the fact that men can't get jobs-- it's the fact that they are taking away jobs from more qualified candidates that put in way more time and effort to even try and get their foot in the door. What percent of the workforce do you feel should be women? I don't really care for a percent. …

You're going off the assumption that because he may have been toxic, that enables amber to make false allegations that ruined his life. You're running off hasty generalization fallacies with no support to back it up.

Nor did I ever say he was perfect. We are all guilty of sins and crimes that we aren't proud of. Wrongdoings, skeletons in the closet, but ultimately that is what it means to be human.

he was toxic in their relationship with Amber But he wasn't. Its the false accusations that have cost him his career and life-- something that he is terrific in might I add. It could have been a simple divorce a shit load of almony and end it "Simple divorce". That is an oxymoron in itself. Alimony was built on cases of the past, not the modern present. Many men are realizing divorces are social contracts that are inherently too risky in the first place for men. Too many repercussions at practic…

What experiences did you have which make you think that there is no understanding it? Hearing and seeing the things that happen to men, but women proactively diminish such as suicide rate ratio of men to women being 3:1 in most countries (with some exceptions obviously), homelessness ratio of men and women and the resources that are available to them (vast majority are for women and children only). There is no understanding because women have been conditioned and told all their lives of how much…

I for one would like to see a source on this. https://www.factcheck.org/2018/03/meme-falsely-claims-exposed-snopes-com/ Another reputable fact checking source found them to be indifferent in terms of political stance or party. In fact, the only "source" I found for such allegations were made on Facebook in attempts to discredit them and their efforts. They both agree on one thing-- that they themselves, both factcheck and snopes, should NOT be the end all be all for any argument. Instead, you sh…

the only way to stop it is to understand it or wait until it eats itself There is no understanding. Only complete and utter chaos fueled by egocentric, malicious, narcissistic people that have been brainwashed and encouraged to embrace a state of victimhood. Realistically, we have protect ourselves from any form of harm that may come towards our way because god knows what else they are capable of. We can only hope that their ideology/narrative is seen what it truly is-- a thinly veiled way to pu…

"Women have always been the primary victims of war Men most definitely have it off worst! They only have the possibility of dying, suffering unfathomable mental, physical, and emotional pain from war; seeing their friends die right in front of them and losing their limbs. The best part? The same men will watch their friends slowly deteriorate with drugs trying to run from the pain. /s On a serious note, fuck anybody that tries to victimize themselves and detracts the deserved attention from thes…

Of course it doesn't. That's why we have been seeing a decrease in marriage and conception of children. A variety of factors come into play-- one that comes to mind the most is social media alienating one another. People start to become absorbed in being another person's projection that they shortly lose sight if themselves and can't think for themselves. We are turning more and more towards technology and losing our ability to critically think, show empathy for one another, and even communicate…

There's both sides of the coin. Man or Women, there will be people that avoid responsibility like the plague-- that's just the unfortunate reality. I don't exactly have a definitive reason why, and there's a multitude of reasons. Obviously not all of them are justified. What we can do as individuals though is raise our children to break the cycle and try to provide the best life possible for them. Otherwise what else is there in life aside from the mundane.

There's both sides of the coin. I have never dismissed this and of course this is an issue as well. Binary thinking is a dangerous thing-- it shouldn't be just black and white. No matter what we do, there will be people born into unfortunate circumstances that are out of their control; one of them being raised with one, or even no parents. To an extent we as individuals can affect such matters by destroying the cycle of single-parent raised households and foster better individuals in the world. …

Anecdotal support, yes. Great on you that your mom spends the money where it meant to be spent. Unfortunately for many, that is often not the case; I am not advocating that this is always the case, but unfortunately it does happen more so than people care to admit. Child support + spouse pay is more suited to times from before were the man was expected to be the provider, while the woman was usually the caregiver and maintained the house. Modern advancements in everyday life such as the dishwash…

Its not that paying for child support is bad-- its the fact that men are expected to be the providers for the child, regardless of the circumstances. In addition, courts are heavily favored towards the mother and will usually have custody of the children. For mothers that don't care about their kids at all are able to gain custody, usually for the purpose of getting time with the kids; time with the kids = more money in her pockets.

It's so sad that people have to make things about themselves or trivialize something that is so open ended. The fact that the dad doesn't want to go home is so open-ended, but they grasp at any straws that they can to make a moot argument that "being a stay at home parent is hard". Perhaps the Dad doesn't want to go home because he feels like the place isn't home. The Dad most likely had to be the provider for the family, and did not get to spend time with his kids; this alienating himself from …

Thanks man I really needed to hear this today. Your story matches mine a bit too eerily, and I have been taking the steps to actually improve my life. Just like you, I was addicted to weed and video games. My ex broke up with me claiming she was still in love with her ex, but in reality I knew there was somebody else. I knew deep down and had such a strong gut feeling around her life full of deceit, her past history of cheating, and just overall all the red flags. I choose to ignore said red fla…

I think it's more the very idea that people like this woman think like this. It's just complete disregard and disrespect to males period. I'm all for equal rights, but when I see posts like this that literally taunt men for providing for their families because they choose to opt for a more dangerous job for the sake of their families. Yet, here we see a overwhelmingly large amount of Men dying due to either these dangerous conditions or because of depression. It's not even just disrespect to mal…

I'm more frustrated for animators that will spend way more time and effort creating a video that will last a couple minutes, while other content creators will try to milk the shit out of their videos so that it can last at least 10 minutes so that they can slap on more ads. But yet here we are crying about the wage gap when the statistic was based on the median salaries of everybody; so ranging from your average joe to a rocket scientist or really anything in the STEM field, you're of course goi…

Yknow you say that but in a debate in one of my college classes, people were straight up telling me their case by case basis like' "Oh my dad and mom work the same government job, but my dad still gets paid more". Yet I know nothing of the circumstances, and if that was the case, the mom should just straight up find another job. With her security clearance she would be able to find one without much hassle lol

In all honesty never heard of her until this bullshit lmao. Just typical controversy moves to increase more traffic to her channel in a sorry, shallow attempt to grow her channel. We have seen it time and time again where idiots will create or do something that is controversial and essentially enjoy free advertising. That or she really is a terrible person that doesn't know what hard work looks like. A majority of the people that are big youtubers are big because PEOPLE ENJOY THE CONTENT. Not be…

The sad but hard truth that is the norm. Too bad if you say anything remotely bad about women in a particular aspect that is affecting men more, you'll be ridiculed is the most likely case. I say that anecdotically as I've brought up the "wage gap" to my mom, older sister, and girlfriend, but they'll just stop talking to me completely and dismiss the subject.
