Careful there, soon enough you'll be saying africans are the ones trying to impose their will and beliefs on the rest of the world.

First off, he didn't abandon her. He still takes care of her and his child and they still regularly talk. They just aren't together, or as you put in American terms, 'they aren't dating anymore'. I'll say he's doing far better than most 'fathers' in America who desert their responsibility while letting their offspring become a burden to society. It's a criticism which also happens to be true. I was born and raised in Africa and lived there for 15 years. I know the culture inside and out, no different than a western male will claim to know about his own culture, which by the sound of it is pretty clear that most western men value looks in a woman more than intelligence. Funny how western men think their narrow view point applies to the rest of the world. I'm from africa and i can unequivocally tell you with 100% certainty that most african men prefer being with ambitious successful women. Literally all my african friends want a very successful woman. They're doing well for themselves too but that's what they prefer. One even left the mother of his child cause she had no ambition so speak for yourself.

I wondered why she stuck around, until i read the part where she called him 'the attractive guy next door', and then i wasn't so surprised. Being attractive was enough to make this woman stick with an emotionally abusive simpleton. A lot of women will take this abuse as long as the guy is 'attractive.'

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
