The spouse is increasingly becoming more hostile. HelpThe book Splitting helped me a lot during a similar situation. Don’t give any time to the people denying your abuse. It’s real and you need to navigate this strait with a clear head in order to find your peace again. Good luck | /r/Divorce_Men | 28/06/26 02:13 PM
What was the thing that made you say you no longer love your wife?Physically assaulting me in front of our child. Only other person present was her enabling sister. It was our first Christmas Day after moving to her hometown, and she was adamant that my parents were not welcome on this occasion. I kept my cool and “took it like a man” but immediately started planning for divorce. Got my 50% custody but regret not filing a police report. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/04/26 01:05 AM
Fundamentals: Marriage counseling does not workI can absolutely vouch for that book Splitting. It was an incredibly effective resource during my own divorce. It was very eye-opening to learn about the mental gymnastics and patterns of bad behavior that so many women succumb to in such a consistent and predictable way. | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/02/26 06:12 PM
Has anyone made the most of their divorce? Thanks! Glad you’re feeling something similar. Once I realized I’d be living in her hometown until our child takes flight, I plugged myself into local communities. PTA, volunteering, etc… I’m more accepted here now than she is. Her angry and bitter attitude still isn’t doing her any favors but she’s sticking to her guns lol | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/03/25 04:58 AM
Has anyone made the most of their divorce?Sailing with the wind again. Captain of my own ship again. Polyamorous, retired, and free. She was a decent business partner but such, such a bad parent. Never put in the work to improve it. We split our assets and custody down the middle (she fought tooth and nail for more; she was a real animal). Since our divorce I’ve been able to work on myself and other things without her pulling me back, dragging me down. I had gotten so used to her weight I carried. Since then I’ve never felt so light and… | /r/Divorce_Men | 20/03/25 04:46 AM
How does one get divorced and minimize impact to kids?I envy your ignorance. | /r/Divorce_Men | 13/12/24 01:07 PM

Had a great moment with my boys at bedtime tonight.A lot of them are just acting like their own mothers. Gotta do your part to break the cycle, far away from them. Great work! | /r/Divorce_Men | 03/07/24 06:10 PM
Did you see red flags in your inlaws, specifically your ex-MIL?Heh, good one! I don’t hold it against her but it explains a lot. | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/02/24 12:17 PM
Did you see red flags in your inlaws, specifically your ex-MIL?That’s a funny question considering my ex-MIL couldn’t finish high school on account of Mao sending her to an agricultural labor camp. Just one flag, about as red as it gets. | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/02/24 02:29 AM
I will never let my kids call my wife's AP "step-dad."This is it 100% | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/11/23 11:15 PM
STBXW is low key pissedHuh? That’s a negative. Mine has childhood immigration and parentification trauma she never worked through. | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/07/23 11:47 PM
STBXW is low key pissedDuring my divorce, my ex said over the dinner table, in front of our kid, while I was saying Grace: “You’re not a real person! You don’t have real feelings!” 🙄🤣 | /r/Divorce_Men | 18/07/23 11:35 PM
