Couldn't agree more! Mine was low ~18 months ago and doc put me on shots every 2 weeks. Come to find out I too have low SHBG and I'm still trying to dial in my protocol to this day. Being on testosterone is not a wonderful as commercials make it out to be.

I've been on TRT for ~18 months (original labs came in around 150) and it's not always the panacea that men think it will be. We all react to it differently and you need to find a good doctor. There's a lot to consider when starting T and a lot of docs just don't give a shit about it. Men's hormone health is about 20 years behind women's. I do my own shots at home and my wife knows about it but she's the only one. High T levels offer a TON of other benefits for men other than libido or erection …

Couldn't agree more, it's definitely something to work at over time. Let me state that my wife was sexually abused by her father when she was ~7-10 years old (the details are a little unclear). My wife and I don't have "porn star" sex but we've developed over the years one step at a time. Hell, she used to never rub her clit while I was fucking her because I think she was so shy about her body...now she does it all the time and LOVES it. Then I introduced a dildo vibrator - she didn't like it at…

Cialis is amazing stuff. Longer half life than Viagra so you can take it on a Friday night and still have some in your system on Saturday night. I don't have to take it but it helps after a couple vodkas. My wife's never complained about it...we're convinced that it makes me "bigger" just because it's easier to get fuller.

So, sex once per week is now a dead bedroom? I guess I have a lot more work ahead of me than I expected. I thought a dead bedroom was more like 3-4 times per year...

Not sure. I've only been to an endocrine clinic. I've seen both a true endocrinologist (very expensive) and a physician's assistant at the same clinic. The PA is much more laid back and he's the one that offered for me to do shots at home and even gave me my first shot while I was in the office (we did blood work first). I guess it depends on who your primary care doctor recommends. You usually have to have a referral to even get an appointment with a specialist. I'd do it soon because sometimes…

I think I would rather have injections than the gel. I had to come to terms with my balls not creating enough T. I too tested around 180-190, went on Clomid for ~6 months and gained a ton of weight and didn't feel right. Tried Androgel but then stopped for another reason. Finally went back to my endo, got on shots and I'll never look back. It's cheap and super easy to do at home. Highly recommend you get on something. My numbers are amazing now: Total T = 721 ng/dL (300-1080 range) SHBG = 12 nmo…

+1 for The Book of Pook. I really like its approach and message...definitely worth the read.

And it wasn't seen as being upset? I ask honestly...my wife would think I'm all butthurt about not getting laid and I don't want to give her that satisfaction.

You're absolutely right and I'm slowly working on making myself happier and defining what I want in life. That's a lot tougher than I originally thought.

Shit, if I waited for my wife we'd never have sex. The tactic of gaming/kino and not caring is confusing. How much do you push either one? I'm generally pretty good at flirting and teasing so to shut it all down would be seen as me being "in a bad mood". I'm really trying to work on being outcome independent and show her that I don't care. But, in reality, she's the most available pussy I have...maybe other guys here are in different situations. I certainly don't have "options"...not anything cl…

Obviously but walking out of the house @ 10pm would be seen as me being pissy and I didn't want to give her that satisfaction.

Yeah, I feel like my wife and I are equally attractive...I might be slightly more only because I'm not a mom who's almost 40 with 2 kids. I do workout and focus on my body - honestly, kettlebell training is the closest thing I have to a hobby and it's definitely paying off. I'm generally one of the fitter dads at all the school events we attend.

She generally does meet my needs. I realize this whole post makes it sound like she's dried up and that's not the case. It was really just this time that I let it get to me and I knew I needed a better frame of mind.

Thank you for your comment. I agree 100% that I need a hobby - I play golf occasionally but sometimes money is tight. I'd like to find something else that's easy to do and not real expensive. I'll add that my sex life with my wife is way better than it was only a few months ago. I posted this while I was whiny but, overall, things are pretty good. I need to get better and most everyone here has been helpful. I do lead - I buy her outfits to wear in bed, she works out more because she knows I hit…

I meant that I'm not around women like that on a regular basis for my wife to pick up on anything. Sure, I'm around women throughout the day but most of the time it's here at work. I don't have any problem talking to women in different situations. I used to work retail and had to talk with all sorts of people so it doesn't bother me one bit and it comes naturally to me.

I appreciate the reply - we're in a routine...work all day, homework for the kids, cooking dinner, showers, then the kids are off to bed. You know, I've tried to offer massages with no ulterior motive...she doesn't care...that's just one case but you're right, I need to be more fun and slowly build a life away from her...easier said than done but I'll work on it.

And you would have handled it how? I was trying to be completely outcome independent...like i don't give a shit. I'm open to constructive feedback

Yeah she has me...I'm not risking my job by doing anything that could be conceived as harassment. I work for a large corporation with zero tolerance. What I need to do is find girls like this in a social setting AWAY from work.

I completely agree - my problem is that I'm not around many women in general. That's the social life of a father. I'm almost 40 so I'm not around younger, single women...ever. This points to a weak social life and I'm very aware that I need work there. I work with some women but only 1-2 are worth flirting with and it's dangerous territory to do that at work. I workout with a really cute blonde in the group and her and I chat quite a bit. But, we're both married and I'm not risking my job by com…

Well, the kids aren't in our bed plus their rooms are upstairs. Our oldest one is super needy so the wife lays with her to help her fall asleep and she will too more often than not. I'm sure she completely rationalizes it as okay behavior

Thank you for your comment. I played it off well this morning and had fun with her...she came into the kitchen to make coffee and my morning wood and I greeted her with a smile. She said, "is that because I turned you down last night?"...I can't remember exactly what I said but I played it up, kissed her, teased her and eluded to meeting up tonight. I just don't have anything to do to get away from her...I've realized that's a problem but not sure how to resolve it. I don't have guns to clean or…

ha ha! I'm definitely not that guy but you're right...I'm the bitch and it sucks. I don't want to be. I tell you what though, my wife is not a touchy feel-y kind of person and gets put off by flirty texts throughout the day. She works and has shit to do like me. And where do you draw the line between not giving a fuck (by not texting her and not giving her much attention) and stimulating her all day? More reading and research on my end. The motherhood in her is strong and I've stopped falling as…

I agree...it's easy to say "...just have good frame..." it's another things to build one. I need to do more reading/researching. Also, kicking ass in the gym is the best thing I do for myself. I take plenty of frustrations out on dead lifts and kettlebell exercises. That part of my life is on point and I've gotten stronger and bigger than I've ever been.
