Here's an easier, more popular-level text on applying principles of good interpretation: https://www.amazon.com/Playing-Fire-Bible-Ignites-Change/dp/1576831426/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1547057924&sr=8-1-fkmr0&keywords=wall+russell+fire+soul To take it up a notch, here was my hermeneutics textbook in seminary: https://www.amazon.com/Introduction-Biblical-Interpretation-William-Klein/dp/0310524172/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1547057872&sr=8-1&keywords=introduction+to+biblical+interpretation

Reading the Bible is great, but once you're ready, don't delay serious Bible study by picking up a book on hermeneutics and a couple of commentaries!

I like how your question is worded: "Is marriage worth it today?" Although I don't think it is a sin to get married today, or even to choose a childfree marriage, or even to choose a non-traditional marriage where the wife is the breadwinner, or even to choose a dual income/dual career marriage, I do think that prudence suggests the following: Don't get married unless you want kids. Don't have kids unless you can afford them on your income alone. Don't marry a woman who doesn't want to be a SAHM…

MGTOW is authentic. TRP teaches men how to lie to get what they want. I believe in honesty. Honest rejection of bad deals for men.

You know why women do this? If you really improve yourself, raise your status, make money more, climb in your career, a woman subconsciously knows that you’ll have more options and can attract hotter chicks than her. She wants to keep you where you are.

You already know their stance on birth control. They already made at least one “accident.” Don’t be the next sucker

I'd rather continually remind myself of the dangers of marriage rather than get married. MGTOW is therapeutic.

Men save and invest, women spend. It's a truism. The only reason a man should get married is if he wants kids. But even then, the marriage doesn't benefit him, per se, but does benefit his kids.

Ah yes, and the shoe museum. Every pair of shoes that she had to have, that were worn once for a single occasion and then tossed aside, never to be worn again.

Status, money, and power will outweigh anything you’re lacking in looks. Looks only matter when you’re competing with a bunch of other young guys who haven’t really gotten anywhere in life.

Don’t change anything about yourself for a woman. Do want you want. Follow your dreams. Work hard to make your life the way you want t to look.

Yes, I agree. Men aren’t masculine, and women aren’t feminine. It’s hard to know what the solution is for our society. I think it comes down to a values problem, ultimately. We’re losing vital elements of the traditional marriage and it’s throwing everything awry. There was a time when a husband and wife really could work well together. My parents are great examples of this. My dad pursued his career and was able to provide for me and my brother, and my mother assumed a supportive “helper” role.…

I mean, I guess I’d rather have that than a woman that starts hot and permanently chunks up 50 pounds after the wedding.

Correction: "Dating 30+ women yields is like trying..." I don't anticipate having a problem dating after I'm older than 30 and getting what I want. I am certain that as I get more successful, the pool of hot 20-28-yr-olds available to me will grow.

Fascinating...I've always considered myself an average-sized person surrounded by fat Americans. (I'm 5'8 male, 160lb, 30' waist.) Turns out I'm not literally "average-sized" but quite a bit smaller than average. But I feel no shame about that, and I won't be shamed into gaining weight by anybody, or for desiring women who are at a healthy weight. I wouldn't date a woman who isn't at the low end of normal bmi.

I think it is fair to tell people you don’t want gifts, or a certain kind of gift. I would say that the spirit of giving is not that it is a trade, or that the gift recipient is “indebted” to the person giving the gift. What this means is that even though you don’t want gifts, OP, I would still encourage you to give gifts to loved ones. I’m with you on not wanting concrete material gifts. For people like us, what I call “experience gifts” are the best—dinner or drinks, movies, shows, even painti…

I watched the video. Though she laughed, I wouldn't say this video is evidence that "Women HATE the idea of Early Retirement for men." Nowhere does she say that a man SHOULDN'T do this, and the worries that she brings up are in his self-interest--does he have enough to pay unforeseeable medical expenses, for example? So I didn't see her shaming him for being a man who wants to retire early. At most, both she (and the news interviewer) laughed at the peculiarity of the situation. I would say, may…

I wouldn’t make a sweeping claim about all RP guys or RP material. Some of it is sound but some of it isn’t. What I hate about it, though, is its inauthenticity. You’re supposed to put on a false version of yourself to win women over. But then, it’s not really you that’s won them over but some contrived pastiche that’s won them over. Morally, I’m against lying—even lying to liars—and I believe that not being true to yourself is going to psychologically damage you in the long run. At least MGTOW …

I agree with your general claim that most women aren’t interesting, but in this particular situation I think she just doesn’t want to talk to you

Lessons: -Do NOT have children if you can’t afford them -Do NOT date or support single mothers who have selfishly chosen to raise a fatherless child -Do NOT forget to wear a condom every time unless you’re trying to conceive -ALWAYS save and invest. Prioritize an emergency fund -Do NOT let your success be defined by a woman -Achieve your dreams BEFORE you get married, or you won’t achieve them and will be resentful forever Tell me what to add

I’ve never been intimidated by women in my entire adult life. I’ve only been annoyed, nagged, harangued, compared and contrasted, unwarrantedly criticized by entitled bitches like her.

As Tom Leykis teaches, carry around a small bottle of Tabasco and add it to the used condom if you’re just throwing it away. If you leave the room and hear her scream, you know what she did and you’d better run.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
