we're trying to find when our schedules line up From my experiences, that's her way of saying that she's not actually interested.

Here's the best I could find to support your statement.

I've found the smile helps quite a bit. Otherwise, some people can't tell if you're being serious or not.

Yeah, it needs a rest now and again for it to be properly humorous.

Thanks for the tips, guess I need to get back on the horse so I can try them out. :)

I've tried this multiple times in the past, but it has never worked for me. Thus far it's been one-way trips to being seen as a guy who can provide food while the girl becomes emotionally attached elsewhere. As with other tips, YMMV.

I tend to look at stuff that pops up in the corner of my eye. Bad habit from my FPS days.

I have had success in this regard by making the physical contact as much a part of the conversation as possible. In my case, it was extra touching and positioning of the girl's body while helping her with martial arts. For activities that would best fit most people, try hand reading, or recount some story of how you got or scar and trace it out on her. Dancing could work for this as well. That way, the focus is the conversation, yet you're still getting the physical connection made.

(o_o') Totally not trolling. Actually working with my wife on pleasing each other properly just seemed a viable alternative to the pre-marital sex experience.

All the more reason to pick up a sex position daily calendar and a copy of the karma sutra to practice with my wife once I get married.

This is Reddit. As in all things, personal choices that fall outside the norm are subject to the local form of persecution.

Yeah. I've had opportunities. Fairly good ones, too. I'd rather just wait until I'm with my wife.

Well, the only reason I posted this again is because I got no responses. I figured some guys out there would have experience with getting commitment from girls who avoided it or used excuses of wanting to go away for college before getting a boyfriend or something like that, and also assumed such experience could be applied to this situation. I'll try checking an LDS subreddit, but those are usually just filled with needless flamewars. Thank you.

I'm having issues with this as well in my life, but I'll give what advice I can. Climb the kino ladder. Rub up against them, shoulder to shoulder. Tap them jokingly with your hand during the conversation at appropriate points. If they are interested in you, not only will they stick around, they will probably start to kino back. Be the first to escalate, don't be afraid, and don't be awkward about it.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
