You linked to what source means but fail to realize that r/letsnotmeet is where this story originated, nowhere else. If you chose not to believe it that's up to you. Also if you feel the need to do things like this you're missing the point of this sub.

I sounds like you helped her become more secure and made her feel validated and pretty and what not. You helped her come out of her shell and helped her develop into a sociable member of society and as soon as you served your purpose she leaves you for some douche that would never have given her the time of day before.
