But in some cases of child molestation, aren't men forced to chemically castrate themselves? Why isn't there an equal form for women to prevent them from having another child in the event of being convicted of the murder of their own children? That's not to say I would object to it for fathers as well, because I'm totally on board for it, but how's the practice different?

I think it has to do with the fact that the Mother-in-law was there. She was the one that screamed from what I read in the articles.
