Reminds me of SJW’s trying to get rid of grid girls because they were sexist and objectified women. Meanwhile the grid girls were annoyed that the SJWs were trying to take away their jobs that paid pretty well in between modeling gigs.

When someone starts pulling out the definition of “road”, I have to roll my eyes. You’re completely missing the point. Ofc a road can be closed, but a road, especially a freeway, is designed for cars to travel at high speeds. If you think it’s a good idea to stand around in the middle of one, closed or not, then you’re a fool if not willfully ignorant to danger. To put it in perspective: this is the same logic as going “well I know guns are dangerous, but the safety is on so it’s okay!”- no. Tre…

Driver was driving in the right lane of travel so I don’t know where the analogy of a one way came from. Just because a road is closed doesn’t mean you should be completely mindless. How many terror attacks have we seen with cars being used to plow through heaps of people? If you think some barriers and societal expectations is enough to protect you, then that’s Darwinism. If you don’t want to get hit by a car? Don’t stand in the road. If you are standing in the road and don’t want to get hit by…

She was hit while in the road. Regardless of how she got there, the impact happened there. LPT: if some crazy guy is supposedly trying to hit you with a car, don’t go in the road. That’s not even the case though. She was standing in the road and ran into the car pretty much. Not very smart.

The implication of being fired is enough. There’s a reason it’s unethical in pretty much every profession. Rejecting your boss’s advances could strain that connection and lead to your termination. It’s unethical regardless of consent to have sexual relations with an underling or client. I’d get charged a 10k fine IIRC and a termination of my license for the same breech of ethics she did. Acting like it’s “no biggie” is pretty bad.

Can’t speak for the ethics of a Congress position, but pretty much everywhere there are fines and punishments such associated with having relationship with clients or underlings. The power dynamics between say a doctor and his client, or a congresswoman and her employee is to such a degree that consent doesn’t really matter because that consent is impossible to give without bias. Do I let her do this? Or say no and lose my job? It’s a pretty big deal because of the abuse of power inherent with t…

People from Canada travel to the US for healthcare. I’d say I’d trust this country with my healthcare given the alternatives. The issue with it is that’s its stuck in a somewhat regulated hell, instead of being a free market. Yes I want to set a precedent of not allowing women to kill their babies because it’s convenient. Imo if you want an abortion, it should be done prior to a heartbeat. After that, abortion should be out the window. It's a very small percentage of people who fall into those c…

I’m not pro assault rifles You don’t have to be. Assault rifles are already highly regulated to the point that only X military, cops, and a very rare few citizens will ever get them. Assault rifles shouldn’t even be a word spoken about when talking about being pro or anti guns.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
