I would say he's in the right. 12 is way to young. 16 is more of an appropriate age. However, I think he should of stood his ground and made his wife sleep on the couch.

I don't know what kind of woman she is, but this honestly sounds a little fishy if the post was indeed first. I would be a bit sceptical as it sounds like you're the only evidence she's got. If she knew someone was coming for her and her life was in danger, why call you and not the police?

Did she post the metoo hashtag before or after filing to the police? Did she get examined by a doctor for signs of rape? Sometimes the order of things can be very important. But I agree with the other redditor. If you get summoned to appear in court, get a lawyer!

I was blackmailed with that possibility. My ex's aunt hated me and said she would report me to authorities that I had raped my girlfriend (at the time). Mind you we were in our late teens early 20s.
