Ex wife had a child less than a year after divorceThank sweet baby Jesus that it's not yours. If she comes around trying to claim it's yours you know what to do - unless you want to be liable for child support for 18 years to someone who's treated you that way. Brother I think a visit to a therapist may be in order to get the head straight. Under no circumstances should you be thinking less of yourself and that you are not worthy of someone elses love and absolute respect. Therapist may help you process everything that's happened to you. I hone… | /r/Divorce_Men | 22/10/20 10:17 AM
At what point did you finally decide to push the divorce button?Yaaaaaah fuck that | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/10/20 12:35 AM
Seeking helpI'm in the middle of the process, but I know I will never again. There is just no upside. | /r/Divorce_Men | 10/10/20 12:20 AM
1 year laterNot sure how I feel about this. I understand where you are coming from. From a childcare perspective - do you know him well enough to know that he would be good to your kid? Think I would rather have that than a complete unknown if I absolutely had no choice. Silver lining. | /r/Divorce_Men | 05/10/20 11:00 AM
Which of these 2 general reasons is better to give?I'm with Syro - you don't owe anyone anything other than your kids. You're not happy. That's reason enough. | /r/Divorce_Men | 04/10/20 06:42 PM
There’s been no cheating (that I know), we have no kids, no mortgage, and no assets.. please guide me guys (27m)If you feel like you're walking on eggshells or if you feel like you're in prison when near her it's time to go - and thank your lucky stars that kids aren't involved. | /r/Divorce_Men | 02/10/20 06:51 PM
EOW vs 50/50Im in NY unfortunately, where child support is roughly similar with both custody arrangements. Its pretty ridiculous, but it is what it is. Current lawyer told me that a good case scenario would be about a 25% reduction from the primary custody monthly support payment. Other lawyers who I had consults with have told me to just assume equal CS in either custody arrangement. | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/09/20 11:35 AM
EOW vs 50/50I have a similar mindset and situation. I'd also be happy living the simple life like you mentioned. I work a 24/7 oncall job. People say, "well you should just take a lesser paying job for more time with the kids". At a certain point - the income disparity between the 2 jobs would be so great that it could be considered harming my kids futures. It's not as if I'd just be able to walk down the street and have my pick. I think this is especially true in the current environment. My stbx works, but… | /r/Divorce_Men | 30/09/20 11:31 AM
EOW vs 50/50This is honestly pretty refreshing to read. Especially about there being time enough to help guide the kids. It's like fathers who wonder if EOW might be better for the kids are equated with filth. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/09/20 11:17 PM
EOW vs 50/505/ 3 /1.5 The youngest being one of the reasons why Im considering EOW. The other reasons being doubts about myself as father going through this. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/09/20 11:13 PM
EOW vs 50/50Did you have any doubts about your abilities as a father going through the divorce process? I think all my patience is soaked up by my stbx that I have nothing left for my kids and lose my temper. Im having trouble discerning if its just me lacking or if its this whole process. | /r/Divorce_Men | 29/09/20 11:11 PM
