Yes but women being impolite to men is largely related to their vulnerability

Maybe emotionally but physical abuse is rarely happening by women. It’s possible but not a statistical threat.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/10/22 02:59 AM

Worst case scenario a man gets rejected by said woman. Worst case scenario for women.. she’s assaulted. I don’t think the vulnerable and physically weaker sex needs to go on being nicer to strangers.

I'm starting to feel that now at 24 - the autonomy piece. Not sure why it has just hit. I had irregular periods up until this year and while a consistent cycle is healthy, expecting everything that comes with a period -- namely cramps & inconvenience -- on such a strict schedule (26 day cycles) make me feel helpless. I have to bleed out of my vagina for the next few decades...? and there's not much I can do about it? It just feels unfair to have to live with some amount of suffering/inconvenienc…

I don’t think PPD has anything to do with body count; I think you just want to yell about women online.

But horniness and menstruation aren’t opposites. It’s a false dichotomy. I’m a woman and I’ve been rejected for sex by my boyfriend before… Because horny is a human thing.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/22 03:52 PM

Yes — that nice period is critical. It’s what gets women hooked to them & then they pull the rug from them with the “no wait I wasn’t interested in a relationship” despite meeting friends, family, and many dates. Then the dopamine crash leads the women to stay and chase. Inconsistent rewards breed addiction.

I have never been actually with a fuckboy haha. My light taste was not fun and was ended very shortly because I wasn’t down for the disrespect just to get some. I didn’t sleep around just to get my boyfriend now. I’ve just always pursued romantic relationships.

In the 1960s is when holistically that right was established, so those exceptions aren’t the rule. Rooted in biology but also culture, I think we forget that women risk a lot more with sex and pregnancy and have been trying to make the best decisions for their safety for a long time. Birth control is new; freedom is new. But the innate drive to be selective is because evolution used to say women could die if they choose the wrong man (pregnancy, lack of resources while she’s pregnant). There’s a…

I’ll agree that the behavior is more commonplace because women are validating it technically. We wouldn’t have fuckboys if no one would fuck them.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/22 08:46 PM

False. They’re both complicated and socialized differently, making it hard to understand each other.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/22 08:32 PM

Women used to not be able to have a bank account without a husband co-signing… I wouldn’t call that a choice. Women needed to marry to survive; they probably didn’t get their ideal choices. It just literally was barely allowed socially to be a single woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/22 08:29 PM
2

I’m 24 haha so I think in in this group, I’m still considered in the “fun to be with age”. I don’t think the fuckboy stereotype demonstrates any sexual integrity and I’m not with one right now, nor will I raise a son to be one. The beta stereotype is not great either but it’s the lesser of two evils.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/22 08:23 PM
1

Yeah - not everyone is. I’m a woman and I’m not. Worth noting many men achieve high n counts through deceit — so the women aren’t trying to reward it; they’re just blindsided. Some do I’m sure. I personally don’t want a man in even a small sexual capacity that I wouldn’t be proud to know.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/22 08:21 PM
4

That’s probably exactly why they don’t want their son to be that kind of man.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/22 04:24 PM
4

This is a false dichotomy so Ideally neither but Beta hubby. At least he’s nice. It’s embarrassing to have raised a son that measures his success in life on how many women he fucks… and one that doesn’t even respect women as individual people.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/22 04:21 PM

In the Madonna-Whore complex, men don't want to do whore things with their Madonna because the cognitive dissonance is too strong. He doesn't respect her any longer if the Madonna vision is shattered. It's not just her being a virgin that turns freaky -- it's she has to stay the virgin in his mind or else he disrespects her like the whore.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/22 04:03 AM
3

Yes -- sex is important to women as well so being the Madonna isn't a great situation, especially if he's cheating with the "whores"
/r/PurplePillDebate24/08/22 04:01 AM
9

The main difference I see is that men tend to see being AF as “winning,” while neither the Madonna nor whore wins in this dichotomy. Either way, people who insist on putting other people into tidy categories for their usage, should be avoided. This is the best point. No further comment needed.

Yes it is by a long shot. We had a few dates and we weren't expecting it to be a relationship, but never did anything casual and no one was dating other people. We met traveling. We didn't do anything physical before being exclusive and didn't have sex until the relationship. In part, I think he's a better person than my previous two partners. It's been the best sex because we're both givers that care to figure out what works best for our partner. And our connection is better. Both of us have on…

No, this isn't clear. That's likely confirmation bias, and the media you're consuming isn't helping. Pumping and dumping isn't all life is cracked up to be. Also, nerdy fuckboys exist. Sex drives can decline over time for both genders. I don’t think people reveal their sex drives in marriage as a bait and switch — sex drives change with time. Domestic life can just be tiring sometimes and if relationships get complacent, sex drive isn’t super high.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/08/22 03:22 AM

I think women and men can both not measure up in appearance and abilities. It's not a hard and fast rule. That can suck for both genders. I'm sensing your argument is that because women's pleasure and orgasm are more complex than a man's, a man's level of experience makes for better sex for the woman. Because men can generally orgasm easily, a women's experience is negligible, although can add to it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but if that's your perspective, I'd actually agree with you. I think th…

Honestly, I’d say we all experience wanting to measure up. Maybe women are expected to do less in sex physically, but my friends and I have all experienced men not making us feel like we measure up in terms of physical appearance, body hair, blowjob abilities. I’ll empathize on the dick size thing. It’s an unfair standard and myth. Personally my most recent partner has a larger penis and I’d genuinely prefer it smaller because that’s not what matters & it can be painful. But I think women and me…
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/22 04:00 AM

Sure, you learn through experience with others. But so do guys! That’s not gendered to me — men don’t dirty talk to themselves either. Can’t lick their balls or find new spots. We all benefit from experience. Maybe it plateaus a bit after a vast amount of partners but I would still argue virgins are experiencing less pleasure across the board.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/22 03:52 AM
12

Respectfully, kinda disagree. A man can’t teach a woman about her body really. Women are all so different that some level of personal exploration is required. Your list of what women require didn’t even mention the clit so I’m not confident in that list, but mental and emotional stimulation is important. Men who care about the physical sensations don’t really prefer a woman who doesn’t know how to perform those physical sensations… that doesn’t come with being a virgin. Maybe they’re coachable, …
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/22 03:47 AM

Also… do women only experience pleasure because they’re learning something..? Lol at OP
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/22 03:31 AM

It’s also worth noting oxytocin production is usually strongest at orgasm. It’s not like one night stands are known for successful female orgasms haha.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/22 08:37 PM

Sex isn't less important to women. There are variations across all groups of people. Sex isn't about validation. It's also connection, vulnerability, and just really fun to do. Sincerely, a woman with a higher drive than her boyfriend. Trust me, it matters.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/22 04:45 PM
7

Yes. Since I got a boyfriend, my family has been asking me my timeline for marriage and kids. That was even brought up 5 months into the relationship! Women are judged based on their relationship status much harsher than men, so it makes sense that in time, women are going to broadcast that more.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/22 02:23 AM

Also worth noting that studies show excessive porn consumptions makes IRL sex more difficult — getting hard, staying hard, and general interest. Never in our human history have we had hardcore videos of naked people this accessible. It does change your brain chemistry a bit if you’re not conscious. That’s why people don’t see it like a vibrator. A vibrator is a physical sensation add when a partner needs support to make someone orgasm. It doesn’t replace a person.

This is so fascinating because there are definitely a couple penises I just straight up love the look of objectively. I’m a little more uncomfortable with vulvas & I am straight, but never want to go down the path of saying they’re ugly. I own one and I want to find that beautiful.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 01:44 AM

Women feel the same way sometimes, too. It’s a human thing to grow bored. Many find sex after knowing someone’s body to be better because they know how to do it better.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/06/22 01:23 AM
1

Lol..I've seen this statistic behavior. It references that the woman takes on so much emotional labor & housekeeping for the husband, that he is emotionally healthier and has. an easier life..thus living longer. Not saying men don't have hard lives, but the balance of a woman statistically increases their well-being.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/22 02:23 PM
2

It's important to ask WHY are 7/10 women initiating divorce? Has the man cheated or stopped putting effort into the marriage, so the woman is fed up and divorces? I don't think that statistic represents blindsiding divorce papers from the women each time and to truly evaluate risk, it's important. Divorce doesn't always represent the bad thing..maybe the relationship was bad. Marriage is a risk, but it's a risk you have some control over. Do you have healthy communication skills, work on your re…

I’m sure it is affecting mental health, but most women are steadfast in claiming they don’t prefer the ultra ripped guys. Many women prefer an approachable but masculine one. That’s why the dad bod was in. Overweight isn’t most people’s preferences, most women I know prefer muscular with a little extra. Maybe 15% body fat for men?
/r/PurplePillDebate10/05/22 03:14 AM

Agreed. I’m in a relationship and I have the higher sex drive as a woman. Many women experience responsive desire, though, which is just as honey but needs a trigger. Many men need no trigger lol

I agree — aside from SUPER attractive men, most have to work for their place. Women are valued quickly for it. Although I’d argue it’s not women that created that — it’s men being attracted to women, subscribing to their onlyfans, giving them special treatment that creates that. Men are the consumers of women, so they’ve created that demand.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/04/22 03:08 AM
3

Yeah; luckily I’m considered attractive but I’m very aware that in society, attractiveness is prioritized for women and tied to value somewhat. I see many successful, ugly men lifted up by society but women aren’t measured by intelligence or career success as much.

The risk to the owner of said vagina... many STDS can be dormant in men but present in women. Many STDs can cause cancer for women later on. Pregnancy. Rape.

Sharing feelings & intentions openly. I think most men are socialized to think this isn’t okay, even though they still face the physiological consequences of holding in stress. My boyfriend probably falls into the “slightly less emotional” category compared to me. He will open up about struggles, but not as frequently. I’ve seen him cry 3 times in a year — two were related to the idea of losing me. I think women also have to have grace that many men haven’t been taught to express their emotions …

I mean I watch porn sometimes because I want scenarios to imagine me and my boyfriend in. My boyfriend rarely watches porn but we made some of our own for each other. It sounds really sad to constantly think everyone’s out to get you or cheat on you. You know good relationships exist right haha? We’ve been in a long distance relationship for a year and he hasn’t cheated and is still devoted. I’m not worried. Most people don’t want to fuck around for the rest of their lives. It’s not intimate
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/22 02:42 PM

People watch porn because it’s a huge dopamine hit that most boys grow accustomed to when they’re 12… Women watch porn, too. Porn is not evidence of men needing to fuck other women. Honestly, I just anecdotally can’t back your opinion. My boyfriend is a tall, attractive man devoted to me & he rejects advances from other women. He doesn’t prefer casual sex at all, has a low body count for a man. Most of my guys friends are very similar. Either in relationships or not participating in casual sex. …

Your whole question assumes all men want casual sex and are okay with the consequence of multiple baby mamas. Definitely not that true. Humans are wired for long-term connection for our survival.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/22 01:51 PM
2

Yeah honestly. I know many guys not into casual sex, including my boyfriend, who looks & has status of a guy you’d expect to sleep around. I know his body and exactly what he wants in bed.. how would casuals sex be better for him haha? Some people value intimacy and love long-term. Casual sex is pretty lonely after decades haha
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/22 01:49 PM
1

Yeah haha that wasn’t my OLD experience. It was a lot of weird people who mostly wanted to use you for sex. Same relationships men and women have surprise me all the time, but I think both genders feel that finding a good fit for them is hard.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/22 01:33 PM
3

Also back in the day women were seen as property for sex and children so it wasn’t women being lazy… it was men (who are biologically bigger and stronger without a doubt) shoving women into that role.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/22 01:31 PM
0

Echo this. Also do you think depressed housewives basically forced into marriage for security back in the day were really giving men the intimacy and emotional support they craved? Women have the independence now to provide back to men & not be depressed because their identities are stripped away. Sounds like a win to me.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/22 01:28 PM

Yes, this. He should work on his avoidant attachment style because humans are wired to attach to others. Probably has some trauma to work through

I have a count of 3 including my boyfriend and he has a count of 4 including me. Pretty happy there. No one needed to be taught, but there’s a lot to learn together and not much to apply from previous relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/22 12:51 PM
12

Why would a woman want a dick inside her when it’s been inside 50 other women? You know…people shower haha. Germs from previous sex isn’t still on them. And vaginas are a muscle so sex doesn’t influence their tightness.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/22 04:53 AM
1

I think intercourse here means penis in vagina intercourse, not general sex acts. The clit isn’t internal, so it makes sense actual penetration doesn’t do much for women. I’ve heard it was higher that women don’t orgasm for intercourse. Correct me if I’m wrong.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/22 04:52 AM

Echoing this comment. My short experience with casual sex vs. a relationship is wildly different — way more orgasms, safety, quality in a relationship. Like other comments above, too, women also don’t want a guy who is sleeping with other girls while trying to get commitment from him, but for most, it’s how it goes. Sexual exclusivity and people who aren’t paralyzed by their hundreds of options are hard to find.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/04/22 04:49 AM

The paradox of choice is a real thing, so psychologically choosing is harder for all genders More importantly, woman have options. But they don’t have options for relationships.. because of the shifts in the dating market (women are increasingly more educated and there are more educated women than man), the over supply of women is making the relationship material men in high demand. Men are benefiting from this because women are more likely to excuse bad behaviors or offer casual sex at a higher…

I think the question is why - why would you feel pathetic to wear a hairpiece? What actually about that makes you feel pathetic? Women are valued more for their looks in society, maybe. But both men and women experience benefits for their attractiveness. Attractive people are more likely to get promotions, get jobs, and get reduced sentences for crimes. There's a science behind that. Also, people want to be attracted to each other. Men that try (whether that's working out, styling hair, dressing…

It’s just an anecdote that supports the conversation. My positive view on his experience means that I would probably continue seeing the guy. Although no one readjusts a hair piece every morning based on the modern ones work.

I had a guy friend in college going bald that got a hair piece. Honestly, his confidence skyrocketed and I thought it looked so much better. He’s had a girlfriend since too so seems to be working out. Women get extensions. More men should invest in their beauty too tbh

Most men prefer the assumption of low maintenance but gravitate towards the look of high maintenance. Hairstyling, lashes, subtle makeup (low makeup is not no makeup - there's a lot involved in looking natural), proper clothes, proper grooming, skincare, workout routine. All things you don't consciously track but come together. Men often don't recognize the subtle changes an hour of makeup can produce. Women look very different without trying. It costs like $5k a year to maintain those extra ste…

There is a negative to this - many men grow up thinking that "no" doesn't actually mean no and that a girl will eventually say yes if they push for long enough. Think of all the movies where those huge romantic gestures (often knowing her address, finding her at work, etc.) come AFTER the girl rejects him initially. It should end there, but movies try to paint it as charming? All genders have the wrong playbook from movies.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/03/22 02:43 PM

No, but I will say it’s a sad reality to be in the other side of your body being something you can commodified. I don’t know many who are fulfilled by assigning monetary worth to their body. There are definitely risks with that lifestyle. I probably could go and sell my body or have sexual sex, but my risks and consequences are too high for me to want that.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/22 01:10 AM

My body count is 3 and I’m in a committed relationship so not sure I can speak for that community. It seems women gatekeep sex on average and men gatekeep relationships and commitment. Neither party is probably satisfied with the outcome they can get.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/22 12:56 AM

Yeah I think either group that isn’t holding themselves accountable needs to check themselves. Not everything is a man’s fault. Not everything is a woman’s. There are benefits when people want to fuck you, yeah, but uglier women don’t experience that.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/22 12:52 AM

This “pussy pass” you speak of is probably just that humans favor ALL attractive people. There’s a beauty bias regardless of genitals.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/03/22 11:23 PM

Idk. Honestly I’ve been rejected more by my boyfriend for sex than I’ve rejected him. Both high drives. It happens. Women are just socialized not to communicate said horniness.

Attraction can’t be extremely lacking, no, but personality is why I’m staying with my current boyfriend. I can’t date a boring hot person for longer than one date..

Literally just explained it. Incels by definition are celibate, but they're culturally known for their misogynist, cynical views of women. People who call themselves an incel tend to operate within the ideology, not just not having sex. Red pill men tend to hold similar views on women. They just aren't marked by a lack of sex. Red pill men and incel men share ideologies..Red pill men therefore can be joked as "incels who fuck"
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/22 04:16 PM
3

Dude… I know what uncle means. They typically hold similarly misogynist views. That’s why I said incels who fuck. They hate women just as much, they just have access to sex. Incel has a stigma.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/02/22 12:50 AM

I used to call red pill men incels who fuck. Because they typically hold the same woman hating ideals, but just have access to sex
/r/PurplePillDebate31/01/22 11:49 PM

Red pill men in my perspective don’t even like women.. so I wouldn’t change my mind. All the red pill podcasts I’ve seen always portray women as accessories that are only valuable for their looks and body count. Good question, but for most women, red pill seems anti woman, so a woman would be likely uninterested.

I’m a woman and I wouldn’t want to date a guy that’s 19 purely for the fact that even though he’s an adult that can choose to have sex, his financial knowledge, wisdom, relationship skills learned over time, and career don’t match mine. I want to be equal with someone I date.

Respectfully, referring to mileage as a value criteria for women kind of tells me all I need to know. When looking for a healthy relationship, most people look for mutual hobbies, communication, compatible personality traits, life goals. Beauty isn’t going to be there for you when you’re on your death bed. Many men and women actually look for more in a relationship than just an accessory to further their lineage. I’m 24. My body count is 3 and I’m in a long term relationship. I’m not even offend…

It’s a red flag to me when someone chooses the younger option if everything is equal except for education, maturity, and financial independence. Why are older men and women uninterested in their peers? Why do they prefer someone who doesn’t have the same financial means or the emotional maturity as their peers? I’d say this logic comes up for a relationship and not casual sex. You choose casual sex based on who is hot. But a relationship has a lot of other factors for a life together.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/22 07:30 PM

Totally agreed. My emotional maturity is wildly different at 24 than it was at 18, even if I look very similar. I have independence, maturity, and the life experience to spot weirdos. I was naive at 18.

28 doesn't really look that different from 22 lol. Not sure what scanning radar you have that can tell if a woman is under 25. News flash: 22 year olds that don't have wrinkles, are attractive and fit are usually the same at 28.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/01/22 07:18 PM

I'm 24 and while college wasn't that long ago, I would feel so predatory dating a guy who hadn't ever lived outside the dorms or had a job. Totally all about life stages. I want life experience & to learn new things together. I want to be someone's equal partner..not their career coach lol.

For the guys saying they're attracted to 20-year-olds and they can't help it. I hate to break it to you...but 28 looks like 20 fairly often. The only difference is a 28 year old likely has more life experience, confidence, and financial independence.

Because she was interested in you, she didn’t want your only basis for your interest to be sex. She wanted you to have a read on her personality, too for a more balanced perspective. My boyfriend and I didn’t have sex the first date and I felt super pursued by that.

I’m in this situation. My boyfriend confessed he never pictured marriage, but now he’s making light references to marriage and in-laws. We’re young so it wasn’t that terrifying; I assumed most 24 year old men didn’t dream of marriage just yet. Something men don’t quite understand — as women age, they are judged for their marital status. Men have more wiggle room but do have social benefits from it eventually as well. Relationships with a wedding as a marker are socially WAY more respected by soc…

Most of the women have similar body shapes lol..some just have larger assets. There are more variations in female bodies because of boob sizes. Also most women I know date outside of the huge pecs body type.

They don’t enrage me; they scare me. Men who don’t see me as an actual complex person are a threat to my safety.

I’d say we don’t have those studies to prove there is to my knowledge. Anecdotally, even on Reddit I hear about couples who waited until marriage and it turns out they’re sexually incompatible. The woman doesn’t like oral sex or isn’t adventurous or the man doesn’t believe in foreplay. Sexually there’s a lot can go wrong if you don’t have prior information about compatibility.

23F. 3 partners including current boyfriend. One was once so the 3 is pushing it even. I expect men to have higher counts than mine but I’d prefer under 50, haha. It doesn’t make a huuuugge difference but I like having more to discover together and someone who isn’t an active participant in hookup culture.

Exactly. There is less divorce due to religious correlations but that says nothing of satisfaction in said marriage.

Staying in a relationship because you don’t know any better doesn’t sound very ideal. You don’t need to sleep with the whole world, but an informed choice doesn’t hurt anybody. There’s no scientific backing on the pair bonding piece - we have multiple friends and relationships over our life. I’m currently in one and anecdotally I’d argue that it’s filled with first times TOGETHER that bond us, regardless of what we’ve done before.

I just don’t really subscribe to black and white ideology and would prefer to acknowledge the very real nuance that exists in human relationships. I prefer lower n counts in my partners and bring that to the table too, but I recognize there’s room for exceptions and that people whi have more sexual partners aren’t inherently less valuable.

I think most people want a mutual relationship with someone who challenges them & they can grow with. I was dating a passive guy before and I actually hated it — I’m way more attracted to a man who stands up for his boundaries and respectfully communicates them (my boyfriend now).

I think it’s okay if you say the same thing in the opposite direction, depending on how you’re framing it. If you think women inherently lose value with sex, that’s an issue. I don’t think people who have lots of sex are incapable of love. It’s not a requirement for me to interview men on their n counts and I find it weird to fetishize virgins, but you can typically sense via stories someone’s history. on average, if someone has a high n count, it indicates a lifestyle & viewpoint difference.

Totally agree. I would prefer to date men with more of a relationship habit than a casual sex habit. To me, I find it more alarming if he’s had a long history of disassociating sex and love.

I don’t subscribe to the ideology but I like to explore all extremes and see how that informs my own beliefs. There are some grains of truth there, like any belief system.

Agreed on the sex. Not every session is wonderful after a certain point but we have both found more satisfaction in emotional intimacy plus physical compared to just a casual encounter where trust or vulnerability is not as strong. Of course sex can get boring just like any other activity after some time without a commitment to introduce variety.

Don’t worry, I acknowledge I’m not the most attractive on looks alone. I’m fairly attractive and so is he by societal standards, but I’ve also seen men I’ve found more aesthetically pleasing or comparably pleasing as I find him. When you factor in personality, that changes things I’d say.

You're not really describing a standard, but a different biological experience. On average, many women experience responsive desire. For many women, including myself, this means that emotional and physical buildup is what leads me to desire sex. "Responsive desire is the growing interest in sex that occurs in reaction to sexual stimuli. Often, responsive desire is sparked by touch, physical closeness, or sexual contact. It's when mental interest in sex comes after external stimulus." On average …

I don’t think it’s a great black and white rule to follow. There are plenty times I’ve wanted to do something or initiate conversation, but I didn’t. That rule doesn’t give room for nuance. However, I’d look for a PATTERN. That gives insight into someone’s intentions better than a single instance.

I feel like what you’re saying is a generalization about women that doesn’t resonate with me. I’ve heard the red pill argument that women only love men conditionally and for their provision, but that’s not how I feel. I’m currently in a long distance relationship founded on adventure, a common sense of humor, and mutual exchanges of care. I actually make more money than my boyfriend. I supported myself before and now our financial contributions are equal. Our relationship is symbiotic, and not u…

Potentially. I’ve been burned before but I’ve also done the work to be in a mutually fulfilling relationship. I can blame men for my problems if I wanted to I guess but I can also blame myself. We all have our own flaws.

Many of the popular red pill figures I’ve heard of don’t actually seem to like women, honestly. The men of Fresh and fit podcast or Kevin Samuels are some. I hear a lot of rhetoric from them about how women are a burden and a waste of time and their value is in their number of ex partners, but these men still want to have sex. It’s a little confusing, because I’d imagine you don’t have so much critique of an entire gender you’re attracted to. I personally love men but have the boundaries to pick…

My boyfriend receives emotional support, depth, and nurturing in a way that his male friends have not provided for him. We're in an LDR so I've taken on a significant travel cost burden, too, but the LDR has meant my shipping surprise gifts. I've cooked for him and taught him new recipes. I think the biggest benefit for him is the emotional safety & trust. Our relationship has offered him encouragement in a way his close friends haven't provided because he's willing to share more details about h…

Women don't want mean "Chads". They want kind, caring men who assert boundaries and independence. It's called confidence and it's attractive.

LOL agreed. There are modern dating issues but I'd argue it's great for relationships that no one NEEDS each other to survive. That we choose our partners out of desire, love, and genuine interest.

I'm always a little cautious of the argument when someone blames their dating issues on the opposite sex entirely and 'how easy they have it in life'.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/21 03:39 PM

There's a little bit of a difference but I see some commonalities. The only danger to sex toys is becoming increasingly reliant on them and consistently choosing that over the man. It's not THAT common to damage your nerve endings but it's possible. Many women can't achieve orgasm without help because it's seemingly takes longer & has more nuance than getting a man to. Porn affects the brain, though. We have a lot of studies that link porn consumption to increased preferences for violence in the…

Sorry you've had experience with all these women. Sounds terrible and in my personal life, I don't know any women like that. When things become a clear pattern, we have to ask ourselves what are we doing that attracts relationships like this?

Haha for context I’m in my 20s — if I go out to see friends in town, I see proportional hotness between sexes but if I just go to the grocery store or doctor, not many hot people but particularly men.

I'm a straight woman and I feel like I mostly see just average men. Hot women, often. Hot men? Not very often. This is my anecdotal experience haha.

I’d argue it’s a strength, too, to have both. Certain social contexts demand certain qualities and it’s a strength to tailor them accordingly.

A clarification I think is important is that both men and women experience emotions. Traditionally testosterone supports a more angry expression of them, but women aren’t inherently more emotional because of the stereotype that they cry more. Crying and angry outbursts are both emotions.

Are people in 2021 still saying looks don't matter? Not everyone is going after 10/10 models but time and time again we see studies that note people at least prefer those that are as attractive as they are.

I'm sure it does have an effect - my brother has a pseudo-incel essence to him and he's heard from our parents that marriage is a trap. I've heard from my parents that my value is my beauty, I'm too emotional, and my ambition will hold me back from love. I came out mostly unscathed but I know his view of women is warped.

While there's some truth to nature vs. nurture, I don't think a false dichotomy such as "you're either in traditional gender roles" or "you're sleeping around & getting divorced & miserable" represents what's true for most roles. There are a lot of drawbacks to this picture many lovingly paint as "a woman baking bread all day, nurturing the kids, keeping tidy -- all with a smile". Financial dependence means women can't leave abusive situations, maybe that role doesn't get as much respect. People…

Yep! I brought up the ankle thing in my original comment. Attraction is part nature and part nurture. We like people that look like us and resemble our exposure to our preferred partners growing up. Culture plays a MAJOR role in what's attraction & acceptable to us - what we see shapes our normal. Dem ankles thoo

Yeah, I'm sure the science is there. Anecdotally, my female brain is capable of it. Humans are attracted to hot humans. It's just a matter of how far it goes. I don't grope people when I find them attractive, but I've been groped in bars before (in jeans and a high mock neck tank top). I think when ya keep your hands to yourself but objectify, that's normal human stuff. When you start crossing into someone else's autonomy, that's where we have problems.

A lot of interesting comments on this thread. I think this topic can go for all genders - I don't think we exist in a society where only men can objectify women. Women on average are more vulnerable physically (less testosterone = less muscle growth), so "attraction turned into objectification" is where things can go wrong. Despite what many religions will preach, though, modesty doesn't feel like the answer. Yes, we live in a pornified, hypersexualized culture but people are going to find peopl…

Want to point out that there's plenty of tall guys that don't give that "feeling". There's confidence, there's a way someone carries themselves. I wouldn't prefer too tall (honestly 6'0" makes any physical contact difficult at my height. I genuinely don't get the narrative that if he's tall, that's all that matters (some girls probably are like that, I don't know). I'm 5'4" and once a meek, timid 6'4" guy was interested in me and I've preferred the shorter guys with a face and personality I'm mo…

I feel as though if you’re calling some human beings ‘planetoids’, you’re not interested in a civil discussion about the anthropology of modern dating. Weight is more complex than that — to some extent it is an equation but that discounts all genetic variances and medical conditions. Women will always have more fat than men as a gender because they need to it to function biologically. I’ve never heard of anyone 700 lbs having sex with a male model. Ever. I’m not sure it’s physically possible to …

I’d say that’s debatable. Biologically, women hold onto fat more for reproductive reasons. Our metabolisms slow quicker and earlier in age. Alternatively, testosterone fuels muscle growth and muscles burn calories. Men are naturally bigger, so burn more calories and need more. Yes, many guys have to work out to get the actual muscle built, but it’s biologically easier for them to avoid being ‘fat’ in appearance. I acknowledge that effort is required for muscle growth whereas woman can try to be …

Honestly, everyone has their cards. There's a card associated with being a white man -- people trust you, often respect you. I won't deny that women get their own card. Personally, I'm upset we live in a culture where this 'females can get anything with looks' scenario works. "Anything" is an exaggeration, but yes, there is an 'attractive woman card.' There's only going to be supply if there is demand -- there IS a demand from men for women to show off just their bodies. No one really addresses …
