I read the stories about how men's shelters are shut down due to them just receiving no funding (compared to woman's shelters) and how a lot of people just talk shit on men and it's just accepted? Canadian Criminal Code s. 271: Sexual assault is an assault, within any one of the definitions of that concept in s. 265(1), which is committed in circumstances of a sexual nature such that the sexual integrity of the victim is violated. Pretty vague, but it does it's job covering any kind of rape. s. 265(1) is the assault law.
