So long as it is consensual then there is no problem. It's not your duty to make her life decisions for her.

Yes, let's just ignore that humans are still doing the same shit they've been doing forever on a macro level. Wouldn't want to admit that we haven't changed much over the years. Instead, we'll talk about how "Agriculture, plumbing, adequate housing, medicine, and electricity definitely killed tens of thousands of Japanese." because that is totally about relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/03/15 08:39 PM

So then your assertion that "We are quite different than we were back then, because we have the capability and the luxury to be better" is a bunch of bullshit. Even the glorious power of adequate housing didn't sufficiently change our value system, apparently. Instead, it's "context" and "charity". You even managed to throw in a Red Pill boogeyman for additional blooper feels.

Funny, because I am pretty sure Japan had all that stuff back then, and it didn't stop them from going on a conquest spree, resulting in the deaths of millions of people. Yet it would seem you assert that technology changed value systems. Hell, even Rome had agriculture, plumbing, and adequate housing.

Technology? Better side? Would that be the side where we dropped two nuclear weapons on Japan? Or bombed the ever living shit out of Iraq--twice? Or watched the middle east fall into widespread civil war, where beheadings are a spectator sport? Just in case you somehow managed to miss all that.

Better sexual education programs could have a huge effect on boys who do not recognize behaviors they practice as rape and girls who find sexual violence a 'normal' and 'expected' facet of romantic relationships Have you ever considered that boys aren't the only people with agency and perhaps girls encourage shitty behavior by rewarding those who display it? By all means, good luck teaching girls not to love guys that are (excessively) assertive. I am sure it will be a smashing success. Jaywalki…

Could you explain what this 'draconian' 'policy' would look like? I was pointing out that no one was putting forth any ideas that are possible, will fix the problem, and isn't excessively harsh/severe. Instead they simply complain that things are not perfect. It changes how we view victims of rape and sexual assault. Taking risks is generally viewed as a good thing. It is a risk every time I leave my home- does this mean I should stay inside lest I 'deservedly' get hit by a car? After all, I inv…

They can go live that lifestyle if they want. But the idea that girls running around partying all the time have it rough because there is a possibility that something bad will happen is a bit much.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/15 08:09 PM

Could you elaborate on how it is 'draconian' to expect people not to rape or otherwise assault an unconscious person? You can have all the expectations you want, but that won't be changing the situation. Society runs on policy. I'm also curious how it is 'first world problem bullshit' to expect to have bodily autonomy as a person, even while drunk? It's 1st world problem bullshit to lament that a bunch of girls can't party up without any risks. Expect all you want, it changes nothing. What they …

What do you mean by human nature? People taking advantage of other people. Wishful thinking will not make that disappear. And hell, I was in Brighton England, young, having fun, backpacker, all that fun stuff. As long as I'm not hurting anyone, what exactly is wrong with it? There is nothing wrong with it until you lament how all women are not afforded such a luxurious lifestyle in a risk free manner.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/03/15 07:06 PM

Yes, I am loving all these totally plausible, effective, and in no way draconian ideas on how to change human nature. Personally, I am a fan of people behaving responsibly and not getting shitfaced at some random party full of people they don't know.

I should have been more responsible while at work or whatever the fuck. So when I go to court, write up victim statements, all that fun stuff, do you know how many people accused me of bringing it on myself or that I should have taken steps to prevent it. God damn nobody. Presumably because you were at work and therefore could not reasonably protect your belongings. Circumstances matter when people judge things. I doubt housewives are victim blamed if they are raped by a robber during a break in…

Excluding the vast majority of the male population from sex is just begging for violent revolution. It also defeats the purpose of having this reproductive system. You might as well just give alphas a harem, far better than having several of them waste their time on a single woman.

No, men that wanted to procreate would be off it. There is no guarantee that the men who want to procreate would be best suited for it. This scenario would allow plenty of desperate betas/omegas to knock a girl up far easier than they can in our current society.

The 1/5 stat is a bunch of nonsense. The FBI reported 79,770 rapes in 2013, by comparison there were 102,216 rapes in 1994. Meanwhile, the population increased from 260M to 316M in that time period. The claims of epidemic are melodramatic nonsense that help nobody. Women in college are less likely to be raped. I quote the Bureau of Justice Statistics: "The rate of rape and sexual assault was 1.2 times higher for nonstudents (7.6 per 1,000) than for students (6.1 per 1,000)."

I doubt people who fail the push ups and pull ups will be able to complete more specialized exercises. Although apparently the Marines also do a "Combat Fitness Test" which is more specialized. Still doesn't explain why we should be giving those who are Infantry more time to complete 2-3 mile runs on the basis of gender.

How are guys that inflict sexual assault on their peers/subordinates the best candidates? They're causing loss of morale. mental and physical trauma, suicides etc. Assuming that women will not sexually assault their colleagues is ridiculous. They are human beings just as men are. And humans from all demographics are perfectly capable of doing horrible things. Reducing sexual assault in the military should be a priority. Those who commit it should be punished. Sacrificing combat effectiveness and…

It's not about 'lowering standards'. It's about setting questionable standards in the first place. How is an elite force such as the Marines having high physical standards questionable? They're not gaining the best possible candidates the way it is set up now. Citation needed.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/03/15 02:43 AM

I have yet to see someone present a reasonable case for lowering the standards for women. Especially for something as important as the military. Either people are equal and they can compete on the same level or people are not equal and shouldn't be treated as such. You can't have both.

But whenever a guy comes along to show that physical attraction plays a major role, the community bashes him and denies the truth. Do you have any examples of this? It seems rather uncharacteristic of TRP to deny physical attraction being important, considering some of the first advice they offer people is "work out".

Female privilege? For starters, let's go look at the whole "women are wonderful" effect, in which people assign more positive attributes to women. Logically, this means that people think more highly of women, and therefore are treating them better than they do their male counterparts. Lets also throw in some legal stuff for fun, too. Women receive access to various government assistance programs merely by the achievement of reaching adulthood. Men have to sign up to potentially die in a foreign …

If you mean they encounter sexism in the workplace Men encounter sexism in the workplace, too. I do believe though women are second-class citizens in our society. Ridiculous. There are so many privileges men have that they do not realize. The same goes for women. Yet many of them will scream "oppression!" at even the slightest provocation.

Imagine I didn't like hanging out with skinny people because they make me feel fat and insecure. What's happening now is that I'm putting the blame on skinny people instead of addressing my own deep rooted insecurities. Nobody would view me as massively competent now would they? That is you avoiding people because they make you feel bad about yourself, which is a different matter entirely. Avoiding certain people because you can spend your time better with someone else is not a negative reflecti…

Guys that get laid alot are confident non-judgemental guys that are too busy having fun to worry about how many guys a girls been with. Lots of confident judgemental guys are getting laid, too. They simply leave the woman after they are done rather than bother with commitment. Besides worrying about partner-count is massively insecure and by definition not alfa. Narcissism isn't necessarily bad for leadership. According to a Washington Post article: Narcissistic CEOs are more likely to adopt disruptive technology, leading to greater innovation. Having narcissists on your team can equal more creativity. And putting a grandiose person in charge can also mean more charismatic leadership. What they found was that narcissists are more likely to reach leadership positions, but there was no consensus answer for how much narcissism really affects a leader's suc…

I believe that is OP's point. We have people that will go crazy because some guy posted "AWALT" in a subreddit, some even going on to frequent an opposing subreddit that is dedicated to highlighting posts similar to it. Yet the people who object to generalizations because "equality" are quiet when people make generalizations in favor of a group they like.

Pretty much all violent crime has been plummeting despite America's increasing population. That won't stop the gender warriors from inciting a shitstorm, of course. The FBI reported 79,770 rapes in 2013, by comparison there were 102,216 rapes in 1994. Meanwhile, the population increased from 260M to 316M in that time period. Yet the more efforts we make to free people from gender conformity the more people actually conform to their gender stereotypes. Norway has some of the lowest levels of female graduation proportional to male graduation in CompSci, far lower then more traditional nations such as South Korea. Efforts made by the Norwegian government to get more women into engineering and men into nursing saw short term gains before falling back to previous levels. The proportion of tertiary degrees in CompSci awar…

So, do you believe that in societies that encourage people to do whatever they want, the gender breakdown in most occupations would tend towards a 50/50 split? Because that is certainly not what we're seeing in the nordics.

Men victimize women by not going to college. Hell, they don't even have the decency to stop there, as they apparently aren't willing to consider half of the male student body. No, the problem is the men going to college aren't good enough for the refined tastes of our dear sorority girls. And when colleges try to correct the imbalance, they get the feds investigating them. Brilliant.

First of all, that OKCupid study needs to stop being cited by either side right now. It isn't scientifically valid. There were consequences to women rating men highly (someone covered this below so I won't repeat it). Someone in this very same thread has refuted the assertion that there are "consequences" for rating highly. Women in the west today have less incentive than ever to get married. Less incentive than ever doesn't mean the incentive is insufficient. There is very little reason for any…

Oh, she definitely would be pulling 100/5000 good looking guys, probably more close to 1000/5000 if she looked average. I just assumed you disliked going below 7's regardless of future prospects.

I think that article about the woman sleeping with 5000 men by 25 just was kind of a kick in the gut. Her life sounds like an amazing dream I haven't read the article, but I would assume a woman screwing that many guys is probably dipping into a lot of 5's if not even lower then that, which you said was unsatisfactory. That is assuming that what she claimed even happened, of course.

Leading someone on and hurting them by clearly stating your intentions regarding the relationship and allowing them the agency to decide whether they wish to continue the current arrangement? What's next, am I supposed to demand that my friends stop drinking soda because it's bad for them?

Depends entirely on what people desire in marriage. If the couple in question are adamant on sexual exclusivity then the odds of a "successful" marriage decreases as the number of previous partners increases. I personally have no desire for marriage as it is a rather raw deal for men. In the hypothetical scenario where I found someone worth marriage, I would desire exclusivity, therefore sexual promiscuity would be a massive red flag.

Assuming that a woman who is flirting with you wants to have sex with you will, 9 times out of 10, result in her thinking you're a creep. I fail to see how this would be a loss for the RPer in this case. If the woman does want sex, they won't waste the opportunity like someone else would. That aside, your 9/10 statistic is hyperbole. Assuming that a woman flirting with you means, "She wants to pass a little time by having a friendly interaction with me, perhaps to get to know me better, perhaps …

Cool, so the group that doesn't want to be sexually desired is more likely to go to gay clubs, or at least has the option to. Doesn't help prove OP's assertion that women who choose to go to nondescript nightclubs dislike being desired.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/15 02:24 AM

I never said they went there to be sexually desired. I said the OP is making an unfounded claim that those who do choose to go to said nightclubs, for any number of reasons, do not want to be sexually desired. Do you really think they would be going to a damn nightclub if they feared the male gaze?

You are picking out what you believe would be attractive, but not diving into the concept and offering an authoritative solution. What humor works best with people? What hobbies are people most likely to find interesting? How does someone go about feeling out the situation, what are the signs to look for? You're going to have to go beyond the whole "this is what I think is attractive, go figure out how to be that" and offer some complex and definitive framework if you intend to sufficiently coun…

Well shit, it's a good thing women have a choice on whether or not to go to said club. They could even be insistent on paying to enter or waiting their turn. Also, the assertion that most women who go to a nightclub do not wish to be sexually desired is rather questionable, to say the least.
