With regards to getting upset with quality of women, I think the red pill argument is a bit more subtle. Most red pill men would admit that the more effort they put into selecting for women with similar interests and qualities that they like, the more likely they are to meet women they enjoy being with (that's basically a tautology). For long-term relationships I don't really strategize and prefer to let things happen organically as you say. For short-term sexual relationships, not strategizing would result in a huge drop in the number of women I have sex with. Since I value mostly physical attraction for short-term sexual relationships, there is no advantage to letting things happen organically.
